pretty standard subway located inside the mercado shopping center. i actually like coming here when i need a quick and healthy bite before catching a movie at the amc theatre a few doors down. prices have definitely increased with time and inflation as a 6-inch standard sandwich is now over $ 5 with tax! i still remember the days when a basic sandwich(without any special add-ons) was only $ 2.99! i guess that shows how long i’ve been a customer at subway! service is usually pretty swift and i’ve never had problems communicating my order to the sandwich artist behind the counter. although i’ve always wondered why they put veggies on my sandwich very sparingly, i.e. exactly 2 slices of tomatoes or 4 small slices of cucumbers. there is some seating inside as well as a restroom in the back. good if you’re coming solo or with your significant other, but i wouldn’t advise coming as a group since there isn’t enough seating for a large party.

I eat here usually when I come to AMC Mercado to watch a movie. My fav used to be falafel sandwich which they stopped recently so my new fav is Applewood pulled pork sandwich. The staff is helpful and cheerful. Its good food experience if you are in a hurry.

Standard Subway restaurant. The only difference between this and others is that they tried to upsell the heck out of those sandwiches. Extra meat? Extra cheese? Want to add guacamole?

Way to uptight about timings. Dont say you are open till 10pm when you shut the door at 9:55pm. Com on it only takes 2 mins to make a sub.

Of all the eateries in the same complex, I like this Subway and the nearby In-N-Out a lot. Clean restroom. Efficient line. Toasted bread ready in less than 30 seconds(which I am sure Harry Potter is in the oven working his magic). Loads of veggies. The tuna sandwich is sooo delicious.

Good stop to have for a bite before class, conveniently located in the Mercado plaza. Got to get my $ 5 footlong before the September event ended, and my sandwich was made just as I wanted. Good amount of space inside, which was mainly taken by teenagers and some young couples and lots of space outside. Feel somewhat healthy eating here with all my veggies!

I am a regular here and go at least 3 times a week. Lunch time is busy and they rush the sandwiches so toppings get a bit messed up but it is relatively quick. I still don’t know how they charge, I order pretty much the same thing but it seems to be a different amount depending on the person on the cash register. There is one lady that seems to charge more then the others. She normally mans the cash register in peak hours. — minus 1 star for inconsistent pricing. Toppings also vary as well, some sandwich artists are fair while others are really stingy. — minus 1 star for inconsistent toppings.

The only reason why this Subway is still around is because of all the high tech companies around here. Healthy is all right and price is right, but please join me in my protest: 1. CALLTHEMOUTEVERYTIMETHEYMAKESEGREGATEDSANDWICHES. What’s a segregated sandwich? I’m glad you asked! Imagine if every sandwich came with instructions: bite left for lettuce and mayo, bite right for olives and onions. But they don’t! And a sandwich shouldn’t have to come with instructions on what longitude and latitude of the sandwich to find what toppings! 2. CALLTHEMOUT. If every one of us told the bored lady behind the counter to spread the love, maybe their crappy service would improve. Then we’d all be visiting Subway a lot more than out of desperation.

Nice, clean facility with friendly staff and fast service. I like that they didn’t skimp on sandwich ingredients; so often at other locations I have to ask for more of everything. I came just after the lunch rush so parking wasn’t an issue; I suspect it would be more difficult during lunch or dinner rush. Will definitely be back.

I Was in the mood for a Sammich so I rolled my Work Whip to Subway. I stashed my Whip and rolled in. I like this Subway because a few of the Latinas working there are cute and make a mean Sammich. I ordered a Philly Cheese steak Sammich with Pepper jack Cheese and everything on it. For $ 2 more I added Chips and a Soda. I like to people watch so I always eat there and that’s what I did and I observed some interesting behavior. Subway Chronicles– I’m enjoying my Sammich and I watch this couple come in order a Sammich and a large drink. Guy is a Nerdy looking White guy and the Girl is Asian spinner type. Regular Couple I figger. I’m Chilling out eating my Sammich sipping Soda. I watch couple eat lunch and Smooch out in front of store and part company. 5 minutes later Same Nerdy looking White Guy comes back with another Asian Girl and buys another Sammich and Drink and proceeds to do lunch again. I found this amusing. I guess the Nerdy guy wasn’t really a Nerd but the local Subway Mack Daddy!!! LOL. I finished my Sammich and rolled out.

Subway food is decent and affordable in general, and healthier than many other options, fast food or otherwise. With the $ 5 foot-long subs, this place becomes a fantastic lunch value for healthy and decently-tasty foods. With two subways near my office and both very busy during lunch hours with tech nerds like me, my co-workers and I have decided this one is better over the one on Lawrence Expressway and Arques by 24-hour fitness. While parking isn’t ample here at the Mercado, it is still not as challenging to a) find a spot, and b) get out of the lot during lunch hours here. In terms of the current staff, I find that the Sandwich Artists here at the Mercado Subway friendlier and more helpful. TIPFORADDITIONALSAVINGS: If you are getting a cold sandwich(Turkey, Subway Club, Coldcut Trio, etc.) then don’t get it toasted, and ask for it to-go, even if you eat there. You’ll save tax, which is $ 0.41… not much but can add up. Hot sandwiches are taxable always. Eating in is taxable always. Cold and takeout = tax free!

Subway is subway afterall, but I am going to grade this on customer service. My sandwhich was good and toasted, but however they messed up my order and could not understand my English. Anyways I asked for the featured June footlong and the lady had a very soft voice and I was like saying pardon and you can tell the lady was fustrated at me. Anyways we could not understand each other pretty much. Anyways she was rude and I just gave in and pretty much got the Tuna sandwich :( Anyways I do not think I will go over there again.

Of course I love Subway sandwiches. This review isn’t for their sandwiches though, as they do have the same ingredients no matter which one you go to — at least in my experience. Who among you has left with a Big Mac from Subway? Raise your right foot. This specific location is right next to my optometrist, Silicon Valley Eye Physicians. More often than not, after visiting Dr. Reyes, I end up getting hungry. What’s best to do than swallow a footlong, right? I meant a footlong sandwich. 6-inch, if you’re timid. So again, there was this one time(at you know where) where I just left SVEP and wanted my typical footlong tuna on 9-Grain honey oat. As I walked in, there were 2 other customers who were getting their orders done/taken. I fell in line. There were two women staff who were behind the bar(check out their pictures on their profile pic). Here goes, Staff1: How can I help you? Me: May I have a footlong tuna on 9-grain honey oat and a footlong BMT on same bread?“ Staff1; Wha kyna bread? Me: Uh, 9-grain honey oat. Staff1: You wan cheese? Me: American please, and extra cheese. Staff1:(prepares to load the bread with slices of meat etc etc and does it really fast as if she was in a Subway sandwich Fastest Piler of Toppings contest and the prize is a new Subway uniform) Another customer comes behind me and he mentions his order to the same staff. Soon, the Staff1 brings out another footlong and loads it with tuna. Staff1: you wan it toaste’? Me: NO. Staff2: wha kyna topping? Me: Cucumber, olives, green pepper, tomato –can you add more black olives please? — oil and vinegar and with extra mayo. Staff2 adds about a 5-inch long line of mayo and starts wrapping it up as if he ass was on fire. Me: Can you add more mayo please? I look at Staff1 and say: Oh, I wanted the same cheese on the tuna. Staff2: No this is your bread. Me: What about that?(pointing to the footlong tuna) Customer: NO that’s mine. Staff1: You only have one sanwish. Me:(I wanted to say«oh hell no, bitch, you rush me with my order and tell me I ain’t getting 2 sandwiches?!» but didn’t) Oh, I ordered a tuna footlong too. Staff1: No you dint. Me:(taking a deep breath) had you been listening properly AND not rushing me, you would have caught it. I mean, where’s the train?(I didn’t really say that train question, but boy I wanted to). I ordered a footlong tuna on 9-grain honey oat before the BMT and told you I’d like it on the same bread. Arrrrgh. Makes my ears turn jerky maroon! Now because of this experience, I will probably skip this Subway trip especially if these two ladies were behind the bar.

I never eat at Subway. When I say never, I can count the times I’ve been to a Subway on one hand and of all the times I’ve went, this one location has given me the least amount of issues. I didn’t have any issues ordering my sandwich, the staff getting it correct and fast. I swear my sandwich was in front of me 2 mins after I ordered it. My only gripes were that the parking during lunch is so painful. To top it off, the cost of Subway isn’t even worth what you get. I don’t have much to say about it but I didn’t feel I had a bad experience at this location. Too bad there’s nothing special to write about.

Call me racist or whatever, but this following statement is nothing but the truth in my case. I have found it easier to order in spanish then english at this location. Are the employees on a constant high after the noon rush and can’t comprehend how to make a sandwich without olives and jalepenos unless you order it in spanish? I don’t know… Anyways, when they comprehend your instructions the sandwiches are decent. Just be sure to look at the bread they’re gonna make your sandwich out of as they tend to have A LOT of over baked loaves…

Meant to take a photo to add to their Unilocal link, but I was so thrilled to get out of there with my sandwich so fast that I forgot. I love their new specialty sandwiches — I had the Chicken Bacon Avocado on wheat! Being at the Mercado I expected it to be packed, but what I did not expect was the efficient assembly line they had going on there! AWESOME! It totally works! IN&OUT has nothing on them here at the Mercado Subway! Not even Jared can make them miss a beat! ;)

i think this subway is better than most subways out there but i guess they’ve wronged a bunch of you guys to get such low ratings. lol. To each his own… i’ve eaten at this subway for 2 months straight ever since i started going to the gym. there’s seating inside and outside. they’re in a nice little nook next to AMC. when im feeling super bummed about having subway over and over again(to stick to the work out plan) i drag Minh N. outside to sit in the sun. Bathroom is clean… always a plus. Service is pretty quick and attentive. Drawback with this place is when you ask for more of something it’s not really that much more. I always ask for more sauce or olives and i get like 3 more olives or one more splash of sauce. :T. maybe they know that i’m on a diet too… whatever. This place is crazy during lunch. i don’t mind it because it’s expected. get your sandwich, complain with your coworkers about XYZ, then get gone. I can’t give this place 5 stars because it’s just not a snazzy place to begin with. sorry subway… still got love for you!
