I had high hopes that WCCC could do my new kitchen cabinets. I brought a sample and talked to Mark about my project. He was super nice, and I loved the facility. Unfortunately, Mark told me he could strip my door and sample some color on it in «a couple of days.» when I called back, I was told the next Monday. My time is limited. When I called Monday morning, I left a message and got no call back. I called again later and Mark was unavailable, but they were«working on my sample.» Monday afternoon I told them I would be there in about 15 minutes, to see what they had. When I arrived, it looked like they had just started working on it when I called, and told them I was coming. They had stripped part of it, and taken the hardware off, and sprayed a little patch of clear varnish as I waited. Nice place, looks like they do good work, but maybe they are too busy, and make too many promises they can’t keep. Mark had not looked at the plans I mailed him, or done anything else that he said in a timely manner.

DONOTUSETHISBUSINESS! I was lured here by a recommendation and I have to say that being a interior designer for 15+ years I knew they had quality workmanship. That being said I am also a single mom who depends on commission even more than my hourly to put food on the table. Brady worked well in implementing and installing but was downright dishonest in the end. I had negotiated late a small commission for getting them the project and not even a standard percentage. When the job was done and paid for he stopped taking my calls and wouldnt answer my email. Needless to say I was never paid. Sad to see this kind of operation. DISHONEST and crafty to just get the sale.

Trust me, there’s a world of difference between a custom cabinet made by West Coast Custom and an import. We could only afford import cabinetry for our kitchen but because our home was built in 1905, needless to say the layout isn’t exactly 20th century. We needed a custom cabinet for one area and we needed it bad. So I looked around, went to one place and they didn’t seem all that interested in our business and then I went to West Coast. Their sales manager is a man named Brady Chew and this person really cares about his clients(and I’m not just saying that). I brought a door from our import collection, cherry wood with a deep tone stain and high gloss finish and asked if they could match it. Brady told me nothing is exact but they could get really close to a point that you’d have to really look at the cabinets to see the subtle differences. Then he gave me the price which made me gulp but as it was actually lower than the others, I accepted that custom cabinets don’t come cheaply. With that, he allowed me to tour the shop which was weird because it’s the old Memorex disk drive building and I used to work there. But that’s not important, what’s important is the tour showed me that these guys really are set up for the cabinet business. If you’re doing a big job, well they have a staging area that is at least 1000 square feet. The shop itself is very neatly organized, no trash laying around and the set up seems well adapted to all manner of jobs with various staging areas for staining, curing, and building. After the tour, he explained what they do and what they don’t do. They don’t make their own doors, those they order raw and stain and finish to match the cabinets. They DO use the finest hardwoods I can assure you because their cabinets weigh almost twice what an import cabinet would weigh. The reason is they don’t use plywood, everything is solid wood. The do dovetail the drawers and they”re solid as a rock. The finished product is nothing short of perfect. The lines of the cabinet are entirely square and the hinge work is the top of the line enabling you to pop off the doors if you need to without using any tools, of course everything is soft close if you want it. As well, Brady came to our home and he measured the space to perfection so that when we got the cabinet home, it squeezed right into the spot with maybe an 1⁄8 of an inch to spare; pretty amazing. They were a few days, maybe 4 or 5, from their initial estimate but as the work progressed they did meet the final firm date they told me would be needed for completion. Then came the acid test – would my wife like it. Well she’s a big reason I’m writing this. Any business that can make her happy is top notch because she’s not difficult at all but she’s someone who wants to hear excuses for low quality work. If you want the best in customer service, cabinets that you can be proud of and that will outlive you then I don’t wouldn’t look further than West Coast. Add: And Cindy C, I just read your review and what you’re doing is called double dipping and if I were a customer of yours’, I’D FIREYOURBUTT! How pathetically dishonest can you get to charge your customers then charge their vendors! You’re a rat fink and don’t tell me that everyone does it because it’s called«ten percenting» and it’s morally unethical if nothing else.
