DO NOT… I REPEAT… DO NOT take your car here. It will be destroyed. I brought a classic vehicle there and Eddie said he knew exactly what to do to fix it. All this care needed was a flex plate…$ 2000 later and 3 ½ MONTHS later, I ended up having to have it towed from his garage to another mechanic who fixed the car and it STILL cost me another $ 235 Because he broke an original part of the engine which took weeks for my 2^nd mechanic to find. Eddie flabbergasted me when he told me he actually had learned how to reinstall something in my car by watching a YouTube video. Please… DO NOT EVER take your car there. Instead I HIGHLY are commend Magic Auto Repair in Santa Clarita on the corner of Soledad & Bouquet Cyn next to Kmart. He got my car quickly back in shape and fixed everything that wrong for a very small nominal fee.

Eddie is an absolute pleasure to work with. I brought my car to him at the last minute (read 10 minute notice) for a diagnostic for repairs. He made time to take a look that day. He does charge a diagnostic fee but that’s standard anywhere, and his fee is very reasonable.
He called me later to tell me exactly what was damaged as well as the cost to repair. He patiently answered any questions and did his best to work with me on cost.
While I ended up going to my dealer for the repairs because I found out some of it was still covered under warranty, I was armed with the details and recommendations Eddie gave me.
Eddie was nothing but patient and understanding throughout this process and I can’t say enough about how well he treated me and my car. Thanks for another great experience!

Thought I found a great mechanic to work on our cars but was badly mistaken. Terrible experience at this shop. Won’t go into detail here saving it for my compliant to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Let’s see what happens there.

My car failed a smog test at another shop and the mechanic just couldn’t solve the problem, so I decided to look elsewhere.
I found Advanced Smog on Unilocal and decided to take it there.
I called Eddie and he gave me an appointment for the next day.
When I arrived I was promptly assisted and after a thorough diagnosis, Eddie assured me that he could fix my car and have it pass the smog test. One day later, I had my car back. It passed smog and Eddie even threw in a free oil change.
I would highly recommend Advanced Smog for any repairs you need.

Couldn’t get Mercedes C-​230 Smogged because of check engine light citing a very small evap leak… Turned it over to Eddie and Jose… Who by the way were very confident they could find the problem… After repeated smoke tests and searching… Jose finally spotted this minute (tiny) leak… Fixed the problem… Check Engine light gone… Car SMOGGED and ready to rumble!!!

Eddie is awesome he is honest and gets the cars fixed. I have been coming here for over 5 years he has worked on both of my cars Scion and Mercedes and has fixed them at a great price. I recommend him to all my friends and family and they all keep on coming back. There is no one better than Eddie he knows the cars and gets them fixed.

After reading such great reviews and getting a quote that was about $ 300 lower than the dealer, I entrusted our car (Mitsubishi Evo) to Eddie. He ensured us he was familiar with the car and he would be able to replace the clutch in 2 days. He asks for a deposit over the phone so he can order the parts and a few hours later I brought the car in. After 2 days, I call only to find out he doesn’t even have the parts yet! The next day I call again, and while he’s finally gotten the parts, and it should be done in 2 days.
After 2 days I’m told that while the clutch is done, the breaks and fluids also need to be replaced. I ask how long that will take and he says another 1 – 2 days. I call again after a couple days and he says he’s gotten the parts and they’re working on the car right now, should be done by the end of the day. I call again at the end of the day and am told that they were only able to do the front brakes because they don’t have the parts for the rear brakes yet. What?!? This continues for another 3 days, every morning I’m told it’ll be done by the end of the day and every evening I’m told they need one more day. Finally I’m told that the car is done, just needs to be taken for a test drive. I say ok, I’ll pick up the car the following morning. Again, that next morning I’m told they need 2 more hours (still need test drive and wash). I go to shop after 4 hours and find out Eddie is out on a test drive with the car right now and should be back in 5 minutes. Almost 40 minutes later, he finally shows up with my car, claiming to have gotten stuck at the car wash. But he now says that there’s an error light coming on and he has to figure out why. Are you kidding me??? Finally over an hour later I finally get my car (over a week AFTER it was initially promised to be done).
I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism at advanced automotive. I got the run around for over 10 days! Eddie repeatedly gave the excuse that it was taking so long because this was a specialty car. He was fully informed of the type of car prior to me bringing the it in. If he felt he couldn’t handle it, he should have said initially. Yes, the work was finally all done, correctly (I think), which is why I’m even giving the 2 stars. We will not be bringing this or any other car here ever again.

I purchased a 1991 Toyota from Eddie for my son approximately 6 months ago. The car was running good but there was a problem with the brakes. I took the car back and the brakes were «resurfaced» or something a long that line. The car was previously owned by an older man and the car sat a good while I was told and the brakes would not stop making a noise. After paying $ 150.00 the brakes still were the same. I did not go back because I don’t think anything would have changed. The brakes got progressively worse and I wound up paying for a new master cylinder, front brake pads, back brakes adjusted which were done by my new mechanic. The brakes are like new now. My new mechanic told me that there is no «resurfacing» brakes. That’s all b.s.

Eddie and Brenden are the best! Two of the most honest techs that I have come across. I have a 1997 Toyota Camry and had a terrible issue where the car sounded like it was misfiring and spewing out white smoke, so my friend at work referred me to this shop. Already in the back of my mind I thought these guys were going to rape me in auto parts and labor. I initially thought I was going to have to have pistons or something replaced. So as soon as I got to the shop I was greeted by Brenden with a smile and listened attentively to what i thought was the issue. So he took it in and looked over everything, did a compression test, checked all the valves, examined the engine bay… By this point Im thinking «shit, this guy is going to tell me I need my engine replaced.» To my surprise he found that the problem was a simple map sensor hose, it wasn’t the right size so he swaps it out, fired up the engine and runs perfectly, no harsh idling, no white smoke, it ran as if it never had an issue. So Brenden told me that the hose was the only issue. He could of lied and told me I needed my engine replaced, or I had a bad piston, but he was honest and saved me money. To top it all of, all they charged me was a diagnostics fee, which was also reasonably priced. Ill definitely go there the next time I need something done. Thanks guys! You deserve every star!

Get this. My breaks have been going out for a while. You know how it is? They start squealing so bad that every girl you drive by thinks your whistling at em’? Yea, that’s how bad it was.
So I did what I do every time my car has problems, I swear a lot, drink a bit, then breakdown in tears and call the mechanic (not always in that order).
My car wasn’t starting properly and started making hisses the day after I decided to get my breaks done. So I called Eddie at Advanced Automotive and he hooked me up with a friend of his who tows for super cheap locally. Got the car over there.
Before Eddie spent a penny of his time or my money on the breaks, he checked the engine. Come to find out I’ve got no pressure in 3 cylinders. So. The car is shot. But that’s an honest mechanic. He isn’t charging me a PENNY for that.
That’s what good business is.

Our mechanic referred me here for a smog & it ended up costing $ 30 total! Eddie is friendly & his crew even noticed one of my lights were out. It was just loose, so no extra charge.
