Craig Beck – Santa Clarita Guitar & Bass Lessons

I recently decided to take guitar lessons and reached out to Craig. I was nervous and unsure because at 55 years young I wasn’t sure I was a good candidate. Craig immediately made me feel comfortable with my decision to learn guitar. Craig is really professional and teaches with a smile. I look forward to my weekly lesson. I highly recommend Craig to anyone who wants to learn to play the guitar. Craig is an excellent teacher and loves teaching.

Craig beck is a phenomenal teacher. This man is passionate about what he does and it comes off every second of the class. I feel so lucky having taken classes with Craig. I learned so much in the time I spent with him. His methods are awesome and truly allow you to learn at your fullest potential. He takes the time to make sure you are a comfortable with every chord, then sends you an audio file of what you covered in class to make practicing easy. If you have any questions he always makes himself available to answer and help! Not only is Craig a skilled musician who loves what he does, he’s also an incredible person. The only reason I’m not still taking his classes is because I moved across the country… but I still miss our Tuesday class every week! If you want to learn how to play the guitar, or get substantially better, I highly recommend that you choose Craig. You will not regret it!!!

My son is 8 years old and he is new to Guitar. We were lucky in getting Craig as his instructor. Even though my son was new, he finished his first song in 6 — 8 weeks and going on good… Craig’s approach to teaching guitars is very good… He considers what the student wants and goes with the flow and teach them which helps my son to enjoy guitar while learning… Craig is very methodical and detailed in his lessons which helped our son to grasp and do good. Especially he sends the tunes in different speeds which helps a lot for practicing.

Craig has been my 10 year-​old daughter’s guitar teacher for 3 years now, and he started teaching my 7 year-​old son last year as well. He is a wonderful and patient teacher. The children can choose whatever song they wish to learn. As long as it’s within a reasonable difficulty range, he can break it down and teach it to them on their level. He’ll teach anything from goofy tv theme songs to Disney songs to popular radio music and of course classics. He can always find a way to make it accessible to them and that keeps them interested. His knowledge of music is unmatched. It’s obvious he is highly educated as my children love to ask questions. I find myself learning tons about music just sitting through the lessons. His studio is quiet and comfortable. I’ve taken guitar lessons myself from various teachers in the past, and I can say without a doubt that Craig Beck is by far the best one I’ve come across.

OK, so I am a 40 year old father of two awesome and active boys. I also work about 70 hours a week. So when I decided I wanted to take guitar lessons I needed to find someone flexible and who understood that my ability to practice is bit less than when I was 18 and didn’t have a mortgage, car payments, tuition, etc :) Enter Craig Beck! A quick Google search for guitar lessons in Santa Clarita landed me on Craig’s page at GetLessons dot com. I submitted an inquiry and within 30 minutes I received a call from Craig! That was a good sign :) He asked about my experience and what I wanted to get out of taking lessons. I explained that I just wanted to have fun. I want to play the things that make me happy. At 40 and with a mountain of reponsibilities, my chance to tour the world in a rock band are long gone :(I just want to escape to my man cave, crank up the Marshall, play my favorite music and lose myself for a few hours a week. Of course «my favorite music» takes me back to the 80’s with guys like Eddie Van halen, Vito Bratta, Paul Gilbert, and Nuno Bettencourt so I was asking Craig for a bit of a miracle. Craig is an awesome instructor though and it’s happening! I am learning so much so quickly. When I first started taking lessons I think I told him «I just want to not suck». With Craig’s expert tutoring, I am well on my way to «not sucking»! He really makes it all so easy to understand and the tools he uses are amazingly helpful. He is extremely professional and fun and I’ve never felt like I didn’t belong in his studio (even though I probably don’t!). And while I can tell you how great Craig’s teaching is I think the best testimonial comes from my 11 year old son. He came out to the man cave to listen to hang out and after about 5 minutes he told me how much better I am at guitar since I’ve been going to Craig. Good on you Craig! Can’t wait for the next lesson. I better go practice…

I have been going to Craig Beck’s Guitar Studio since I began playing acoustic guitar in Kindergarten. I took some time off and then got into electric guitar and he has helped me learn material ranging from the Blues to ACDC. Any song I desire to learn he either knows already or learns in minutes. His studio is equipped with great audio software that is able to make tracks of a song that are slowed down so students can practice and gain accuracy. He is a friendly, upbeat teacher who is always supportive. I highly recommend going to Craig’s! I have learned so much and picked up a skill I will always be thankful for.
