Since they changed their menu to a very condensed one, save your money and don’t eat here. There is like 3 choices of things to eat, literally. Very disappointing. Ice cream is still good(of course it is, it’s Thrifty ice cream) but the banana split now comes in a foam take out container. Sad. Still tons of teenager staffers though, standing around behind the ice cream counter doing nothing. Here is a tip to the owners, change the restaurant back and just reduce your labor costs instead. Try listening to your customers and their dissatisfaction with this new direction. I don’t see this location lasting much longer. 2-stars ONLY because of the Ice cream. 0 for the new concept.

Considering the location(inside a kids’ amusement park) we didn’t expect much in the food department. Of course, we did expect good ice cream, given that this is an ice cream parlor — and we weren’t disappointed. The ice cream was delicious! We ordered the chili cheese waffle fries, and we got a huge plate with tons of toppings. The chili wasn’t really spicy, was full of meat and plentiful. The burger was cooked to order, and very good. It came with a nice amount of lettuce and tomato, as well as a generous portion of fries. The staff seemed to be very helpful, and were all very friendly. They went out of their way to assist us on a number of occasions. They kept the restaurant relatively clean, considering the fact that there were kids everywhere all afternoon. Overall, prices were a little high, but portions were large. We gave it 4 stars because overall they deserved them for this category of food establishment. It’s not white tablecloth, but for amusement park food, we were not dissatisfied.

This is no longer a Farrell’s… it’s a «Lickety Split» and it’s sad. $ 45 Farrell’s prices but no Farrell’s fun. You order the food at a cashier and they call your name. No zoo… No drum… A third of the menu options…

I rarely give one star reviews, but after visiting this place for the first time, yesterday, this place deserves it. Pros: * The ice cream is delicious. * It’s conveniently located inside Mountasia. Cons: * Order from cashier from the overly priced limited selection menu. * Get your condiments to prep your own $ 11 burger(we got burgers and pizza). * Wait a while to hear your name when there’s hardly any customers, but a ton of behind-the-counter staff. — At one point, I saw the staff standing around watching each other when one had something to do. I also saw a # of orders sitting out waiting for them to distribute. * Maintaining cleanliness needs improvement. — I’m not sure who’s in charge of emptying their trash, but I couldn’t even fit our trash into any of the 3 trash bins. I had dump a few things in each so that it wouldn’t spill out of the trash. It was pretty gross. * Not a typical Farrell’s lively environment. Overall this place needs a lot of improvement. The ice cream is the only thing that’s worth coming here for. What a waste of money.

Disappointed with the service for sure, I’m allergic to certain foods that were on my chicken sandwich I did not see the kitchen staff using gloves, they literally just picked off the stuff I had said no of and tossed it. Scared if your allergies are severe. My brother ordered a banana split that came with no banana the girls working behind the counter had no senior advisor support and just stood there playing with their hair. Sadly disappointed as I expected better quality to go with the Farrell’s name also food service no beard guards, the girls scooping ice cream pony tail ended up in the Sunday she was building :(

Was in here last weekend for a birthday party and got the ice cream zoo platter. It was amazing! I love that thrifty ice cream is served here. My server was great and attentive. Jasmine was able to help us with our complicated orders without missing a beat. I also love what they’ve done to the place. This new Theme is great and It was time for an upgrade.

Don’t bother. Changed the menu. No kids menu for ice cream anymore. Staff very unfriendly.

Who is responsible for making this place boring? The lickety split«improvements» killed the farrels culture. There is absolutely no difference in getting food elsewhere and buying and getting an ice cream at fosters or rite aid. Environment isn’t customer friendly. You have to get everything yourself. No hospitality, definitely not an environment I want to stick around in and patronize. So I ordered a caramel nugget to celebrate since I won’t be coming back here. Boring boring boring… real sleeper.

Sad to say this place is horrible now, we came out for family funday and lunch at Farrell’s and we are so disappointed. We ordered hamburgers, those burgers were so dry and bad tasting not to mention the fries were old and stale like they were days old. Bad customer service, they didn’t take our orders correctly and were rude when they were told they had our orders wrong. Their food isn’t good quality anymore, talk about bad fast food. Yes we got sick to our stomachs as well. I’ll take McDonald’s over this any day. They’re menu don’t have half the food the old menu had. They serve everything in disposables now, and all their condiments are packaged for you to add to your food. Just like as if you were at Costco adding condiments to your hotdog. Sorry Licketty split but your food don’t come near as good to the original Farrell’s restaurant.

This is a review for the newly renovated«Lickity Split» Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor. ONEWORD: SUCKS. I really hope they change it back to the original Farrell’s, but I don’t think so. First off, you now have to order from the cashier, and give your name and the location of where you live, which isn’t good(and kind of creepy) in order for them to call your name when your order is ready. You should just give people Numbers to pick up their food, not your name and where you live. They don’t give you water for free anymore because they got rid of their dinnerware and cups because they probably wanted to cut costs of washing dishes, and also wanted to cut costs of having Waiters. They now have everything in paper cups for ice cream or cones, so if you get a banana split don’t be expecting a fancier long dish for your banana split they just put it all together in a bigger paper cup and smash everything together into a big glob; it’s not the same thing!!! And their pictures online are now misleading because they show their ice cream in nice ice cream glass cups and trays. I think they cut their menus in half so they don’t have to make as much food and not as much selection on ice cream like they have at other Farrell’s restaurants like the pig troughs, etc. And lastly, I ordered a Banana Split for my mom and I to split, and like I said they smashed everything together in a cup, and it was awful. I also told them I didn’t want NUTS on my banana split because I had a food allergy, and what did they do, put nuts on my banana split and I could’ve had a severe allergic reaction and they didn’t give give a shit. My mom had to eat all the nuts on the ice cream before I could even eat it. So sorry to say I won’t be returning to this location ever again. The Lickity Split can go Lickity Split for all I care, this place is now a complete run down. Trash everywhere on the tables, and the floors. I would not recommend anyone coming here.

This was horrid. We came for a bday party so we ate what was ordered. A slice of the thickest pizza I’ve ever had(outside of chicago). The pizza was also not cooked all the way through. The 32.00 bowl of bagged salad was also disgusting. Tasted like the cheapest bag salad from the dollar store. The prices are absolutely ridiculous on the«party menu». The ice cream was nothing to write home about either. Would NEVER come back.

Called for seating that I would arrive at 7:30pm, I got here and waited About 5 mins. No problem. Sat down and ordered about 5 mins later(group of 9) and its now been 45mins and we have no food. Service here is terrible and I am not amazed. I’m very disappointed that it has taken a long time, not to mention that 3 tables who arrived well after us were served. You’ve lost my business.

Pros: they sell food and alot of snacks, ice cream. They give u a free sunday on your birthday. There banana splint is really good. Looks like a nice classic place . Cons: the nachos suck there too plain. The sunday is small and to simple. The staff are always talking and playing around with each other. Are not that helpful

Best experience ever! My sons 8th birthday we arrived our table was ready, service was excellent, food was tasty and lots of fun arcade games. What else can you ask for. The best part they have a go kart area, it was a blast!

This is the first time I’ve ever been here and I loved their selection of desserts and shakes! It’s a fun place to check out. There’s an arcade and a candy shop inside too. I ordered some delicious mini burgers and had a ginormous banana split for dessert. The only real complaint I have about this place is the ridiculous price you have to pay just to get tokens for the game card in the arcade. Most of the games are 70 – 170 tokens per play… So you’d have to load up so many coins on one game card just to play a few machines. If you want better games and prizes just go to Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Horrible service. Waited at the counter while 4 employees talked amongst each other. No one acknowledged me but kept looking up at me I was intruding. Finally, I apologized for interrupting their conversation but wanted a table. They told me just take a seat. We did. Then sat there. And sat there. And sat there. I counted 8 employees in total that were standing in two different groups, having conversations. I overheard one employee flirting with another employee. She walked around and smacked his butt and that’s when I got up and asked if someone planned on bringing us menus or if they were going to stand around and talk all day. Finally met our server. At least she was friendly. I didn’t see her in any of the groups talking. Seemed like the only one with a nice attitude in there. The girl behind the ice cream bar looked like she hated every living person on this earth. This is when I ask«why work at a restaurant? Where you have to interact with people and actually, I don’t know, SMILE for a moment.» We only came to order ice cream. Mission accomplished. We like the ice cream but my poor 3 year old daughter hates the siren and off beat drum that goes off by her ears every 5 seconds. I get that back in the day, it was the thing to do to celebrate birthdays but. .we have many more people on this earth than we did back then do there’s hardly a break from that annoying alarm and bad drumming/unenthusiastic song they sing.

My husband had been raving about this place that he gets bummed if we don’t have time to go before they close every time we are in the area. He talked about coming to Farrell’s for ice cream and/or parties when he was a kid and how it’s such a fun place to go. So last year during a Magic Mountain trip for our daughter’s birthday, we made sure we had time to take her and her friends for ice cream. This restaurant is located inside Mountasia in Santa Clarita. The place has the good ‘ol 1920’s ice cream parlor theme and décor going on, service was great, staff were friendly and we loved the way they celebrate birthdays here and the variety of birthday songs they sing for anyone there celebrating a special day!!! Definitely a fun place to go celebrate your birthday! Food and ice cream is alright. When you come don’t expect the best food in town. This is inside a family fun center with arcades and attractions. You come here for the fun, games and simple treats for the family while spending some quality fun time together or when celebrating a birthday. When you come and let your server know you are celebrating a birthday, the birthday celebrant gets a free sundae and they perform a song for your party! They get everyone’s attention too before they take out your free sundae! You will hear a loud siren first then your server will make the announcement to all patrons in the restaurant that they are celebrating a birthday… The other staff joins him/her to ask your celebrant a couple questions then they sing your birthday song with drums!!! They do this for walk-in customers and those who booked a party package as well. We loved it so much we decided to book our son’s birthday party here! Party packages include a game card to use at Mountasia attractions(except the arcade games), table time at Farrell’s, pizza, and unlimited drinks. Different packages are priced according to what you want added for your party. We made sure all the kids and parents had enough to eat and enough on their game cards to use different attractions. The parents ended up loading their game cards with more money for arcade games and other things they were willing to pay for. We paid extra to get The Zoo with sparklers and a parade for our son’s party. It was a great hit! And the kids loved the big sparkler candle and was amazed by it! We will definitely come back here and keep taking the kids when we are in the area! Such a fun place for them!

What a BUST! I was hoping for a better experience and something out of this world but it was complete opposite. This place is extremely overpriced, there is nothing special about the ice cream, if you see the pictures I posted it’s Thrifty’s ice cream as well as Breyer’s ice cream. It’s not Farrell’s special ice cream. It’s just Thrifty’s ice cream with fancy toppings and whip crème, your just paying for the novetly. All this place is a novelty, the service was okay and quite honestly I wasn’t impressed at all, we ordered a chocolate malt it tasted nothing like a malt tasted more like a shake and it was all thick and just too much. I definitely won’t ever come back!

We were in Valencia so had to make a side trip to Farrells. We ordered only an appetizer and ice cream. The«mountain» size chili fries were big, with good tasting meaty chili, mucho well cooked waflle fries and overall great value at $ 10. We had a classic tin roof sunday. Lots of peanuts and delicious hot fudge and vanilla ice cream. the kids had two cones. They are known for birthday parties and loud employee lead, drum banging celebration songs. Everyone participates and it’s plnety embarrassing for the kids. Old time fun and food.
