Really great food and great service! The sushi and Ahi are always so fresh and the staff there always have a greeting when I walk in.

Finally went to fishtail after a friend raved about it several times on Facebook, in Santa Clarita today. 16.00 for the Sunrise Bowl to go. It was ehhhh, wasn’t really good, an expensive hand roll taken apart and placed in a bowl. It was tiny little cubes of tuna, not even half an avocado diced with rice. The hot sauce in the little container tasted like taco bell hot sauce. I saw other people eating huge bowls of other items there, but menu was small and I’m not sure what they ordered. Had to drive through the Parking lot 2x as the signage is small and the place is really small. Parking was tight as there are a lot of popular stores in the same plaza. I also notice it was a narrow parking lot having difficulty turning and driving through it. Not a fan… for 7.00 I could have had all you can eat somewhere else and not left still hungry. I have a feeling I didn’t order the right bowl as there were people eating huge bowls of food. Taking it to go probably effected the size too.

This place is absolutely amazing. They aren’t kidding when they say their fish is fresh, because I haven’t had a better poke bowl anywhere else. The prices can be a little on the expensive side, but you’re paying for quality. The portions are perfect, as well, so you’re never feeling too full or not full enough. Nice little corner place you have to try out!

GREAT place! I usually have a poke bowl and my husband’s favorite is their fish and chips. The service is usually pretty fast, and they have a good selection on their menu.

A small little sushi and fish restaurant in this outdoor shopping center. Parking could be better, but chipotle is next door. This is my second visit here. The first time, the basic fish and chips were slightly under cooked, but today they were a little over cooked. The fries were better than my first visit. We also ordered the tempura shrimp and chips. The shrimp was also slightly over cooked. But both items were still very good. The place is so small that they have to crowd tables near each other to fit more people in. Maybe they’ll move to a larger place in the future? It’s a casual place for sushi and a bar, and some good fish and chips. I would recommend this place over any other fish and chips place in Santa Clarita.

okay so i saw these pictures and decided OMG i must try. so i went with my two toddlers and friend for lunch at 12:23. packed but luckily didn’t have to wait long. ordered fried shrimp tacos which were pretty good. it was clean and decent to the taste. and not greasy nor too heavy. also ordered the sunrise poke bowl. pictures looked so good but not sure if it was because they were busy BUT the visual and the taste was actually disappointing. it wasn’t even going with expectations since pictures never look like the real thing. it was just a lot of rice with their sauce and some fish. it wasn’t that fresh. it didn’t contain anything else so i wouldn’t say it was worth the $ 15. kids fish and chips were bomb. fried fish was not greasy and it was cooked to perfection. good amount for price too. my kids killed it!

The poke bowl was sashimi, rice and salad, however, i was expecting grilled fish, fortunately I enjoy sashimi. It was delicious. Greg had the tasty fish and chips plate. The fish was breaded in tempura and was moist. If in the area again, we would come back.

First off the service is great. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted. Food was served warm and didn’t took that long. Free edamame with a Unilocal check in ! The greatest. We got those yummy fries, fish and chips and a bowl! I forgot the name of the bowl but oh my gosh it was good! Everything was good. Kids meals portions are good! We are coming back again! I just wish the place was a little bit bigger but over all I give this place 5 stars also kids eat free Tuesday’s from 4pm to 5pm 12 and under :-).

Great place for lunch or dinner. Restaurant itself is not very spacious. It can get awfully crowded, noisy, and tight. There is little room to maneuver. Service. Excellent. They are prompt, follow-up quickly, and all the waiters seem to work together as a team. When someone needs help at another table, it looked like others are willing to pick up the slack. I had the Poke Bowl. Utterly very healthy, tasty, and good. In addition, I had the root beer to go with the meal. Meal, with drink, and tips total about $ 25. The only reason that I did not give it a higher star was 1. Tight quarters and 2. Kinda expensive for a meal that should be about $ 10 – 15 range only… Still, would recommend this place.

Yum! So bomb! Def coming back next time we come to SoCal! On our way in, and on our way out! Service wasn’t outstanding but also nothing to complain about! Although, They should expand! They get busy AF and you wouldn’t be able to bring large parties! Even my family of 5 would be a bit squished! But good thing the food makes up for all that!

Got the fried fish tacos and they were awesome! The fish portions were so big compared to the little tiny taco shells. Not complaining on that but I did eat them with a fork and knife. Difficult but doable! We will be back for sure.

The only reason this rating is so low is because this place is insanely expensive. I ordered the salmon plate. The salmon was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. The plate also included a small iceberg salad(the dressing was really good), a few small slivers of grilled vegetables, half corn on the cob which was boiled to soften the corn then grilled(awesome flavor!!) and your choice of rice. All in all the flavor of all the food was good and fresh but the plate was 17.40 $. To me what was given is not worthy that price tag. This price is NOT comparable to other popular fish joints In the SCV which provide the same meal for 10.99 with more salmon. This place is more known for the poke bowls so maybe you’ll have better luck with that. The service was also extremely good. Staff was attentive from the moment I walked in. The silver wear and counters all appeared clean.

This place is a great find! It’s located in a shopping plaza with lots of parking. If you check in on facebook or Unilocal, you can get free edamame. It has a large selection of different fish items so you’ll be able to find something you like. I was initially drawn to this place because it is similar to one of my favorite bay area restaurants. We tried the poke bowl. The poke bowls are about $ 15 depending on which on you get. They offer a few different bowls(and you can ask for salmon or tuna). They give you a good amount of fish, which is topped on either white or brown rice. The fish is very fresh. Their sauces are delicious. We also tried the sunrise fries, which tasted like some sort of fried sushi — they were delicious! They also offer fish n chips(which looked mouthwatering). I’ve also heard that the fish tacos are delicious. You should expect to spend between $ 10-$ 20 per person and the food is definitely worth it.

Tried once, won’t be back. We ordered sweet potato fries as an appetizer. I don’t know if they were made fresh at the restaurant or frozen. The fries were good. They came with an itty-bitty plastic cup of «white sauce,» we needed more. My son and I had plates. I had the Salmon, my son had the Chilean Sea Bass. I was dismayed that the little half cup of salad on the plate had no dressing and none was available. I like to eat healthy and would prefer my veggies to be half to three quarters of my meal, not a garnish. My son and I both were a bit stunned at the small size of the fish as this wasn’t super inexpensive. We quickly became dismayed when we tasted the fish. It was dry, very dry and tasted of hard, over-cooked char. I couldn’t taste the fish at all, only heavy black char. My daughter had the chicken teriyaki Poke bowl. She said it was ok. My hubby had the BBQ beef Poke bowl. He liked it but said he was happy we had the sweet potato fries otherwise he would be hungry in an hour as the bowl was more of a snack after the tiny bit of meat and sauce was eaten with the top layer of rice. I agreed. The bowls were large bowls of rice containing a small topping of sauced meat. I personally believe filling up on a huge bowl of rice with a bit of sugary-sauced meat is not a meal. Considering there were four guys practically tripping over each other and only three tables to wait on(including ours), the service was strangely slow. The waiter was, however, very courteous. Quality and price raito considered, we didn’t care to eat there again. Subpar cooking, shortcuts with expensive ingrediants, and throw away plates and plasticware at a restaurant with waiters? Since we don’t care to fill up on rice, we were hungry in an hour.

The food is absolutely amazing! We got the sunrise bowl, the sunrise fries and the calamari yum! Service was dismal at best though. They were under-staffed. Felt bad for the workers because they were working really hard, it was pretty busy and not enough help. Too many customers for one person waiting on tables. Took us an hour and a half to get our edamame.(Hint hint boss man!)

Kind of hard to find, stuck in a corner right next to Chipotle and in a fairly small space. Much smaller then I had imagined, but very good menu choices. I had already made up my mind on the fish and chips before getting there for lunch today(off day), and received a free small warm endamame appetizer with my Unilocal Check-In. It was way hotter then«warm» when first placed before me. The Fish was too hot to eat right away as well. Overall quite good, the fish wasn’t as flavorful as other’s I’ve had before, even with the tartar sauce and malt. But much better then many, with a nice golden brown crunch. The fries were some of the best I’ve tasted in sometime and way more then I could eat. And no real complaint with the service, I could tell how busy this place must stay. I’d definitely return to try a few other items on the menu.

The poki bowl is the best, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for when it comes to good fish. Delicious. Everything is cooked fresh and if you sit at the bar you can watch it be made in front of you.

Fish Tail is a great addition to the limited non-chain offerings littered around the SCV. The poke bowls and kids meals were definitely portioned with the intent to fill you up for the entire day, which is a definite plus, because it also means leftovers! The Sunrise Poke bowl is a hefty creation of lots of rice(brown or white) with poke in a spicy, creamy sauce with all the fixins(edamame, bean sprouts, etc.). It looks like the rice overpowers the thing at first(given its size), but surprisingly there is enough meat and veggies to withstand the entire bowl. The kids meal of fish and chips was a good ratio of fish to fries and both were fried to a golden crisp. The kids teriyaki bowl wasn’t anything special(I don’t think it ever is, though!), but again, more teenager size than wee little one, so makes for a nice steal of a bite for an adult. They serve beer and wine, which is a treat for the over 21 set, and the check-in offer of edamame is a lovely nod to thumbs up customer service. Personal take on the format of the place: It’s a sit down restaurant, not a build-your-own(grab-and-go) type operation as I originally thought. I do think it would be better operated as a build-your-own bar(with limited seating) because the options are overwhelming and there are no pictures or explanations on the menu, so if you were building as you go, you wouldn’t miss any of their toppings/add-ons, but sitting down and trying to order blindly or asking the server a ton of questions about the options is a bit taxing(for both the inquirer and the answer giver-er).

Just, yummy! Wow! Fantastic service by Josh and the rest of the crew. Food — excellent! The portions are huge! I actually ordered the kids portion of fish and chips and couldn’t finish. My husband did get the regular portion and my daughter got grilled salmon and rice. Everything was fabulous all while we watched the Lakers game. How nice to have a mom and popish place right down that street that is this good. Thanks guys! The A’s

I am absolutely upset with my order today. I thought about making my own ahi poke today for lunch… pick up some tuna, which I’d get at Trader Joes, which is affordable, if you don’t have time to pick some up at an Asian market in the valley. Anyway, I was leaving work and decided I’d rather just buy it made instead of doing the work… normally I don’t mind, but today is a Monday… enough said! I’ve been to Fish Tail a few times when they first came around the area. Pretty good fish and chips and a great serving of ahi tuna poke! For being the only place like this in the SCV, I’ll take it for now. So when I went today, I knew I was going to be happy with my choice and fulfill my craving! I asked for the ahi poke bowl with half tuna and half salmon, no rice, and extra veggies… but apparently I ordered a veggie bowl??? I spent like $ 18 bucks on VEGGIES! AREYOUKIDDING?!? Just look at the picture! I spent $ 18 bucks on a bowl FULLOFVEGGIES and 8PIECESOFJUSTTUNA! Where’s the salmon I asked for? And it didn’t taste fresh. My stomach was hurting after I finished this so called lunch, which by the way, had no flavor or sauce so it was a bowl of dried veggies without any sauce and a few pieces of fish! This bowl was NOTHING like how I remembered it to be. I’m over this place and the next time I have the idea of wanting poke, I’ll go straight to Trader Joes or pick some up in the valley when I’m at work! In fact, I think I’m done with all of the Rustic restaurants. 2 weeks ago I had a not so good experience at Rustic Burger and the last couple times I’ve been to Rustic Eatery, which I really loved, haven’t been that great and not that flavorful with what little sauce they use in the dishes. Even my husband was feeling like he doesn’t want to waste his hard earned money there anymore. I hate writing bad reviews but if I feel this way, I’m writing how I feel. Oh and it wasn’t clean there today. The floor was so sticky, I lost my sandals a few times! And the tables…
