My brother and mother found this gem. Small but clean and efficient service. Their seafood platter is amazing with the red onions providing the acidity instead of lemon wedges. Seafood pasta had a great fresh taste with vegetables and shrimp — it reminded me of something you’d find in a Filipino or Chinese restaurant. Then you find a tasty pork roast on mashed potatoes and gravy! Try it and you won’t regret it.

Ehh. sorry to say I have to agree with«Lee L.» I just picked up to go(I’m tired from work) Had to pay extra for bread because we didn’t dine in.wack.anywho, no green sauce was given like most Peruvian places give. The portion of my lomo saltado was for my 6 year old niece. :(

The food is delicious and the waiters are nice bit boy are they overwhelmed. I called in a to go order of Lomo Saltado and it took 40 min. I literally was staring at the food for 20 min but they took l15 more min to check me out and get me a side salad that it came with. I tried to get their attention that i didn’t want the salad if my food would go cold and they were so rushed they didnt even hear me. The food may be good but if you cant get your process right it takes away from the experience.

Food is always on point. The staff is a family affair, they treat us well and are attentive on every visit. But if you are the self entitled type who likes people to snap to their every whim, you may have to acquire a tad bit of patience in order to enjoy this fine establishment or life in general.

For the first time being here it sure won’t be the last. Everything was so good and our waiter Aaron was great on giving us advise for it being our first time, everything he suggested was perfect. I think we found our new spot.

This is my favorite restaurant in SCV! I recommend it to people all the time. The sauce that they serve with the bread before the meal is amazing! I usually get the fried rice with sea food and it is so good! The portion is huge and there is a ton of sea food in it! The service is great too. Every time I’ve gone the staff has been very friendly, and they are all knowledgeable about the menu.

If you are ever in Santa Clarita/canyon Country, this is a great place to stop by. Great parking, and good service. Starters The toasted bread with the red sauce was good. Usually Peruvian places serve the aji verde sauce, but this place serve a red version, which was really good. Food Calamari — must, must try, great pickled red onion, and great fresh, homemade tartar sauce. Great crunch and a huge portion. Great for sharing. Pollo Saltado — I would get it again. I love chicken and red onions, tomato and red bell peppers were great. The Yuca, that is battered and fried, that’s comes with the calamari and some entrees is awesome, order some on the side if you don’t get it with your appetizer or entrée. Overall a great place, which I would go back too! Dragon Egg Approved!

I really want to like Lima Limon, I’m a HUGE fan of Peruvian which may be the issue, I have been to some amazing Peruvian restaurants, such as Don Felix in Hollywood and even Hatuchay in North Hollywood. I have been to Lima Limon twice, once a couple months after they opened and a few weeks back, and I would call both«average». Maybe I’m ordering the wrong dishes, I don’t know. I figure Lomo Saltado is typically a safe bet here, but all in all for me it was very bland, but YMMV.

I liked it, but I would give 4 stars. My husband dislike it, it’s why only 3 stars. $ 40 for apperitizer and Lomo Saltado and 2 drinks, with tip $ 45. Cheviche fish pieces was big and wasn’t cut well. French fries in Lomo Saltado frozen, cheap ones, not real potatoes and wasn’t a lot of beef.

Service excellent, lomo saltado consistantly good; other dishes excellent. The ceviche of shrimp was awesome; great starter for four people. Only downside is that they don’t have their beer and wine license; they think they will within 60 days but that lomo saltado screams out for a malbec.

Seriously stop reading and visit Lima Limon! I am a huge seafood paella fan, I love calamari and their house dish ‘beef saltado’(checkout their menu) I haven’t had authentic tasting Peruvian food in a long time! I was intimidated for years from places like this, yah know, the ‘hole in the wall’ restaurants? Questioning the grade and conditions of business! Well I encourage everyone to shove aside their personal judgement on appearance when it comes to ‘hole in the wall’ restaurants and eat at Lima Limon! This was one of the cleanest establishments I have seen in awhile not to mention for a small business thats been around for years in Saugus! Bring entity stomach, prepare to enjoy home made bread garnished with homemade salsa spread! Enjoy and don’t forget to show your love for them on Unilocal

Amazing Peruvian food in SCV?! I would’ve never believed it until this place opened.(Peruvian gal myself) And it certainly did not disappoint. Latin and Asian inspired fusion food, what’s not to like! My family and I have been coming here for a while, trying nearly everything on the menu and it’s been right on the money as far as authentic goes. Presentation is always modern and exciting as well. Our usual order consists of: *Lomo Saltado(beef stir fry type dish) *Cameron Saltado(shrimp stir fry dish) *Trio de Causas(layered potato dish; I get the tuna, shrimp & chicken choices) *appetizer of 3 *Choros a la Chalaca(mussels topped with a corn/pico de gallo type filling) *Ceviche mixto(strips of fish marinated in lime juice) Top 3 are safe bets for newcomers the rest are if you’re feeling adventurous and love spice! Be ready for a wait if you go on the weekends but trust me the food is worth it.

I can’t be mad cause I have to wait for good food. If it was bad I would be eating in right await. Chicken soup is delicious, bread and sauce I take extra home. All dishes I order are so good. Next visit another new dish I will try. I’m sure it will be great.

Had a wonderful dinner with my wife. We sat at the little bar and enjoyed talking to the staff as they buzzed around. Great food and service. A nice little addition for Santa Clarita.

This place never disappoints my husband and I have tried many of their menu options and it’s never been a bad choice. So amazing that we even had them cater our wedding! Monica and her staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely continue to come back for more.

This place is the best authentic Peruvian food your going to get in Santa Clarita. I enjoy supporting family owned businesses and this is one of them. Parents and uncle cook and their sons are the waiters. They are very friendly and great customer service. The food is yummy and great selection of seafood. Highly recommended. The bread is fresh and yummy. I enjoyed the lomo Saltado and papas. The meat is great quality and never cooked till dry like other places I’ve had. If your in the area you won’t be disappointed.

In response to Monica: I appreciate your reply and attempt to explain things to me. A diners experience is more than the quality of a particular meat though. You’re essentially saying Lima Limon is superior because the meat you get is expensive and good quality. That doesn’t matter when the portions of meat aren’t in line with the rest of the plate or when a to go order loses all the juice to a plastic bag and the consumer has paid 20 bucks for a plate. To be honest, I’ve never noticed a difference in quality of meat between the multiple Peruvian places I’ve dined at, whether it be in the SCV or the valley. My experience has been they’ve all been pretty good. So with all things being equal, I stand by my original opinion and acknowledge the food is really good at Lima Limon. It’s the other things I mentioned that form my opinion of the place.

Went there yesterday to celebrate my birthday and the service was awful. First we were told to wait for a seat even though there were two tables open, and the service did not get any better from there. We waited for over 20 minutes just to get bread. I asked another server that was not out server if we could get some bread and she went back into the kitchen and came out to tell us that there was a mix up in the kitchen, but did not bring us some bread. Finally our server came out with the bread and mumbled something as he gave us the bread. There was one girl I guess she was the hostess that just sat there the whole time waiting for someone to come in, she could be serving bread instead of just sitting there. The food was good but not worth the bad service. Probably would not go back here.

So eating authentic Peruvian food in Peru has made trying Peruvian cuisine in the U.S. a letdown at times, but to my delight, the small family-run Lima Limon delivered with flying colors tantalizing me with the sabor de Perú. I tried two very traditional dishes, Aji de Gallina and the Lomo Saltado, plus the yucca. Every dish was executed perfectly. The yucca was fried perfectly, not overdone, with a lovely sauce to dip in. The Aji de Gallina sauce was a good as any I had in Peru. The complimentary house bread with sauce is tops-just know you have to pay for refills. The Inka cola was unfortunately flat, but won’t deduct from my rating as that could be a fluke. Service was okay-not bad but not great.

I have never been to Peru, but after eating here on numerous occasions I may have to go. I love how they don’t try to rush you in and out, letting you enjoy every bite. The fresh bread and spicy salsa to start are superb. My personal favorite is the loma saltado. The split pea soup is the best I have eaten but is not served everyday. The service is superb and user friendly.

Lima Limon has everything you could want in a restaurant. Great food, attentive service, quiet, conversation-inviting atmosphere. The only real drawback to this delightful establishment is its location. It is smashed between a smattering of other businesses, and though parking is plentiful, the surrounding area doesn’t lend itself to much walking or exploring. That is the only reason I haven’t given them the full 5 stars. That being said, this is a great spot. They have some fantastically tasty meals, and they are fairly priced too. For me, the small nature of the property is a huge plus. Every time I’ve enjoyed a meal at Lima Limon I never had to worry about noise, and that is such a luxury. It wasn’t an uncomfortable amount of silence, either, just the right amount of gentle ambiance that makes you feel comfortable. I also like Lima Limon because it is hard to find a Peruvian restaurant! While I am not Peruvian, and I can’t attest to the authenticity of the food, I can definitely speak to the deliciousness of the food, and by that measure, Lima Limon shines.

WEDIDNTEATHERE. Waited 20 min for 3 open tables to be cleaned for us to be seated. The couple in front of us were seated 15min earlier, were still waiting to be greeted. They we’re clearly short staffed… This review is not for the food. I’m sure the food is good here… May come back. When it’s really not busy
