I was lucky enough to get and taste the sourdough bread. Exceeded my expectations.

I know a guy, so we got our mitts on some homemade sourdough english muffins — they were very very tasty.

Easily the best handbaked bread in the SCV… hard to find, but, as the saying goes, «if you know, you know.»

I’ve been on The Waiting List for the Speakeasy for a while now. Through some twist of fate or act of god, I was summoned by The Breadman to choose my bread. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. I agonized. I debated. I studied all the pictures carefully. And I picked: a baguette.(It seemed like it would go good with dinner.) I met The Breadman in a Top Secret Location for pick up. When I got home I threw together an easy meal and we broke our bread. It was fantastic. The crusty was chewy and the middle was soft and moist. Between the two of us we finished most of the baguette with dinner. I stored the rest in a freezer bag as I was instructed to do and the next day we finished of the rest as a snack. The crust was a little crispier, but the middle was still as soft as the day before. Delicious. I hope one day to be able to try a challah or sourdough. A girl can dream.

I waited for what seemed like days and days for the well crafted loaves, only to be greeted by ongoing sillyness and mystery.

Unbelievable! The freshest and most delicious bread you can find anywhere. From sourdough to rye. Handmade, fresh and delicious. If you know, you know. And you should get to know…

Went for hamburger buns and no dice. But did get a nice loaf of sourdough. Now my wife will not stop talking about the sourdough. This place is addicting!
