I love this location simply because the employees are so awesome!

The store is pretty centrally located and has most items in stock. They have a really good bakery section (don’t know if this is typical) but if you need a last minute desert for a gathering this is a good place to go… Boston Cream cake… need I say more.
Good selections on wines and spirits as well and staff is friendly. Close to my place so I go there a few times a week.

Bumping it a star because they carry one of my favorite affordable cabs: JLohr Hilltop (look for the gold label). Cheaper in the long run when you buy six at a time.

房事has long been the neighbourhood supermarket we frequented because it is just a few blocks down Sierra Madre Blvd. It is bigger than both the Hughes (later turned Howard’s and now finally closed, RIP!) and the other neighbourhood market at the corner of Sierra Madre and California (now a CVS) plus the priced used to be much better.
Now that they have been taken over by Safeway and is going the way of «fancy» high end market, the prices are much worse and the deals are mostly found in the sub par Safeway brand generic goods.
I would probably give them a 2 star rating if they are not open 24 hours a day, so I can go on late night shopping trips. Oh yes, did I mention that they are open ²⁴⁄₇? That is one saving grace at the new and «improved» Von’s which makes it retain the status of my supermarket of choice.

The manager was very rude and inconsiderate when we asked a question. She took a sarcastic tone and was rude. Would not recommend this VONS

Today, I had to do a return at my local Vons Market, on Bouquet Cyn Rd. Unfortunately I had to do this without a receipt.
Leslie saw me walk to the customer service desk and she immediately walked towards me. She patiently listened to my problems with an opened product, finding out from me it was indeed no fault of the store nor the manufacturer and for all she knew, I didn’t even buy this, national brand, even at Vons
She went above and beyond any
expectation I had when she walked me to the correct isle to help me find another substitute product. She did this exchange with great calmness and ease.
Leslie helped me today, She’s an exemplary employee and deserves a raise.
Where my house is located, it’s about the same distance to a Ralphs Market. I feel a better feeling in this Vons, than I feel in that Ralphs. Perhaps, the working conditions are better and the employees are happier, It’s just a kinda vibe, if you know what I mean.

You can tell that the employees care here!!! They have great customer service. It’s a cheers store where everybody knows your name!

Great place to shop with coupons. Well duhhh. Don’t like solicitors outside after shopping for food. It get’s annoying especially after having a headache trying to find out if I forgot to buy something or not. As for the place, its clean and i would say organized. Didn’t need any help getting stuff from the people. Nothing crazy here.

Ok, not so great need some customer service education. The only person nice w/​a smile is Lisa. I like going there because of her. She make u feel appreciated. Red box is also another star. Lots of parking.

Great «U Save» Deals :-) This location is clean inside and outside. Lots of parking available. Great friendly service.

Great place to find everything you need. Not crazy about the cluttered isles because they shove so much merchandise in this place but oh well. Parking is always a breeze and that is important because I hate pushing carts across the lot. Best thing is that they have a Starbucks in there so a venti ice coffee takes the sting off of any shopping trip. They also have Carvel ice cream cakes and if you ever have had one, you’ll know why I mention them. The best part is that can order a sandwich from the deli and have it with a Starbucks drink! Love it. Okay move along and read some of my other reviews.

The new employees are very nice here. Able to help if you aren’t able to locate something. The (no offense) older female cashier with white hair and bangs — not so nice. Has an attitude, and makes you feel like you are lower than she is.

This review is for the Starbucks inside Vons. It has atypically abysmal service, and the place is run by incompetent imbeciles. They can’t grind coffee correctly (I said coarse ground, not talcum powder), they tell you your gift cards have zero balance (even when you pull up the balance on your iPad from
and prove them wrong) and refuse to honor them. They’re slow, often out of the necessary ingredients, and generally have an impatient or indifferent attitude towards customers. The managers of Vons are also completely inept at addressing gift card problems at this mini-​Starbucks. Do yourself a favor and visit a real Starbucks – like the one across the street in the Lowe’s shopping center. Better selection, real service, not run by a team of monkeys.

I love 5 $ Fridays! Every Friday you are bound to find something amazing and affordable. This store is large and full of many great items.
I just wish thy would check the dates better and keep express lane an express lane. Somehow I always end up with expired food and behind someone with a full cart in the «express» lane.
The staff is great. Including the wrap staff! You are sure to see Bill with a smile!

The cashiers seriously need to better inform themselves of the company’s coupon policy. According to some, there is a limit of one coupon per like item and according to others, a limit of two. According to their website there is no such limit. If you buy 10 like items, you should be able to use 10 coupons, get it straight! Won’t be shopping at this Vons again.

Needed an ice cream cake in less than 24 hours which Vons was the only one to say «yes» to. They even were able to put on the requested writing and had it ready sooner than expected!

Vons’ prices are exorbitant — you just can’t escape that, but when you get the weekly fliers and take advantage of their sales, it’s worth your while to take a look. Sometimes you can get 5 ears of corn for a buck or a jar of Klaussen pickles for $ 3.99.
A big plus: this Vons is open ’till midnight.

This place is very great. The employees are very helpful and very nice, and the manager is superb. I needed to get a gift wrapped very quick, and I could not do it myself, and the manager took me to a clerk and they wrapped it for me. I was very pleased by this because we did not purchase the gift from this store, but the employees and manager were very friendly in helping me with my problem.

Passable in a pinch. It has been re-​done in the quasi-​Pavilions style, but it’s a little short on service. Limited meat options and they offer the worst beef of the major chains. The produce section is deep and wide, but it’s the same truck-​durable produce you’ll find at any supermarket. I’m not a Starbucks fan really, but an in-​store Starbucks is a plus and they are better trained than most grocery store Starbucks installations. A dubious distinction, but this is the best market in Saugus.
