I think William below is confused as to what a doctor does… A doctor does not perform tests, a technician does. And a technician does not do consultations… because they are technicians and not doctors. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Potkin’s for years and have ad nothing but great experience. Don’t let this foolish review fool you… (No doctor anywhere performs their own tests! and basically your second opinion concluded with his to get the angiogram!)

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Potkin. I was referred to him because of an anomaly with my EKG. I was given a series of heart tests in Watsonville and the test results showed that I had serious heart damage that could not be corrected with a stint or bypass. All of the test and all of the consultation was done by a technician, not Dr. Potkin himself. Dr. Potkin ordered an angiogram to determine the next step. It was scheduled without ever having any consultation with Dr. Potkin. I got concerned and got a second opinion with another doctor. He said he also suspected a false positive test so he said an angiogram was the only way to be certain. I then had an angiogram and found it was indeed a false positive test and that I had NO heart damage whatsoever.
