I turned 21 on the Monday before I came here. I came here on a Wednesday. And I do have a young looking face. But when I hand you my legal ID, and you still refuse to let me purchase alcohol, you are being unprofessional and rude. I get that underage drinking is an issue… But being refused when I am legally allowed to purchase those items simply because I look young… I am not happy. I will continue to share with other friends and neighbors to shop elsewhere if they want to be taken seriously.

If I could give no stars I would! First off one star is for that it’s walking distance but two words for this place RIP off!!! Bought a four pack of grapefruit soda and it was $ 8!!! wtf? 3 items Costed me $ 16. And one of the items was a sparking water. He types in more fees in there and it’s just all kinds of shady there! Plus on top of it he hasn’t dusted in about 10 years… And everything is expired. Walk the extra couple blocks and go to the better market. Sick of being ripped off here!

The other reviews that mention that it is more of a liquor store than a convenience store are half right. For me,(a single mother living on the westside) I love that I can quickly run into Circle Market for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, rather than trying to keep my 4 and 6 year olds under control and from running off in Safeway. After a good school week, my boys Friday treat is to pick up an ice cream at Circle Market on the way home. The owners are beyond amazing! They recognize us as soon as we walk in and welcome my boys by name. Circle Market is a great community business!

Owner is the best! Even stays open late when you out on a stroll. The Circle is the key to the Westside!

Good place to buy beer before heading to the beach or derby or wherever you’re going on the west side.

I might be a little biased, because I live just a few hundred feet away. Decent beer selection, they got a ton of wine, a few aisles of(mostly non-perishable) food, and aisles with stuff like cleaning supplies. Check the dates on what you get though. I’ve had soda from there that’s long past it’s prime… was kinda flat. You don’t gotta worry about the beer being old though. Believe me, that’s got a quick turnover. The guy and/or his wife are there until 10pm, and that’s a slight advantage over the Santa Cruz Market on California Ave, which closes at 9pm. It’s really nice to have these two markets smack in the middle of the neighborhood. I’m sure the zoning on them is rather ancient. I’d say this one’s around 3.5 stars but I’ll round up.

The Korean owner is friendly but it’s really not a very good convenience store. If you’re in the area, head for the convenience store on California. I forget the name but it’s only a few blocks down from this one. The one on California is also Korean owned.

You know it’s all about the westside! Say whats up to Zhang, or «Bruce» as the locals call him, and pick up some of the coldest beer in town. Try your luck with a lotto ticket on the way out.
