Convinent location by the ocean. Tons of drink varieties(wine, hard liquor, malt, etc) and snacks. What can’t you find in there? Good easy find location and parking was a breeze. The go to spot for your liquor & snack convinency for almost any occasions.

Asked if they had a few beers, guy at the counter was rude and unhelpful. Won’t be back.

The location is pretty stellar, their tunafish sandwiches are off the charts(and I hate tuna sandwiches) but here is the shady part: they don’t have prices on anything and when you ask, they won’t give you a straight answer. Pretty sure they just make things up on a whim and charge whatever they feel like on any given day at any given hour.

Nice staff, endless supply of all the bad snack foods you could ever want, and 12 billion beverages. On top of all that: a tuna sandwich that can’t be beat on price or traditional flavor :) I’ve lost track of how many Wow Wow tuna sandwiches I’ve eaten and how many pints of B&J I have consumed over the years. This place is always a life saver. Thanks, Day’s!

This place has enough liquids and snacks to feed an army. Quick and easy store to pick up firewood, liqour, food, household items, pet food, produce, dairy, the best tuna sandwiches, has the best ice cream and wine selection in town and the beer selection has improved tenfold in the last year. This place is more than your average convenience store along with the sometime not so average clientele.

Well my bad temper and a inept employee led to my ban from here, but I thought I smoothed things out then he turns around and says no, via the inept employee. There mistake and more got it? Hope so, they will soon. Sadly karma will bite the owner in the ass… Day does not know how to MANAGE his employees! they lie and cheat big time.

Day’s has the perfect location. Being literally a few blocks from the beach, it’s so easy to pick up wood for a bonfire or alcoho… er, soda for the beach. The $ 10 price minimum for ATM cards kind of stinks, but it’s not so bad.

The price of booze isn’t too bad bad but when I come in for just water … It’s the $ 10 minimum for using the ATM /debit is what kills me the most

The best slice of beach low-life all rolled into on grimy little corner store. From the looks of the satisfied stoopfied customers from the establishment across the street, you might be able to score whatever illicit non-regulated drug of choice, jay walk to Day’s and grab your twelve pack and stumble on your way. Don’t expect organic anything, do seek out the excellent Ben & Jerry selection– it’s as expensive as shopping at whole paycheck without the ambiance. On the plus side easy parking, and unlike the other convenience store down the street– feel free to wear your gangsta hoodie in the hood-up position so you look authentic here in the ‘hood.

it’s kind of expensive to shop here but the voodoo chips they have are pretty darn good. they have a pretty good selection of beer but not too much in the way of foreign beers. but what they do have is a ton of wine. the best is the $ 7 eye of the hawk six pack!

Convenient location near the beach & harbor, great place for beverages, snacks, groceries, booze, bread, cigarettes or sleazy magazines. Open late, too.

I love the people who work here. They are always very friendly without putting up with crap from ridiculous customers. I love the convenient location and the late night hours. The selection is good for its size and I can usually fill my basic needs there(toilet paper, milk, snacks, bandaids, etc) when trying to avoid a trip to the store, especially late at night when the only big store open is the Safeway I try to avoid. The refrigerated cases need new rubber seals and new hinges because the doors are left ajar all of the time. I think every other time I go in there, I am shutting a door to a case I see open. This might contribute to why the refrigerated items are very very cold from here. Gotta give props to the«wow wow tuna» sandwich too!

I come here 2 – 3 x a week and all the employees know me by name and my needs/wants/desires as soon as I walk in. I love the $ 1.99 tuna fish sandwiches and the $ 1.99 cream cheese bagels. They are open early(7am) which is perfect so I can get what ever I need/want/desire before heading off to work. One of these days I am gonna get up enough nerve and start speaking Korean to the Korean man behind the counter who is really nice.

Ever since my freshmen year this has been a spot where I stopped with friends or to pick up a lil something for a beach party etc. The irony? I don’t drink. However– if I want to make my famous jungle juice. this place is one of the few in Santa Cruz that has my secret ingredient in plenty… One of the many beach quick in and out for junk food and boozes in Santa Cruz.

Great place. Seriously. Oh and it’s within stumbling distance of Brady’s if you need to step out for an It’s It fix. Ask me how I know. :)

My friend Rez’s family had a beachhouse in Seabright, right down the street from Day’s so we used to take a daily walk up there to pick up drinks of one kind or another. It’s a totally local hangout with weed smelling local dealers, burned out surf kids, transient track bums(the tracks are right across the street), cute beach girls from the Seabright beach, and old geeezers buying whiskey and bread. Women shopping never come here, they go down the street to Safeway. Days is quick in and quick out. If you are here, 99% chance you are a local. And Cruzers don’t like tourists, so don’t be giving any dirty looks at any one. Be like a patron at the Soup Nazi’s soup store, stare at no one, make no communication other than a quick nod and then bail like a ghost in the wind. Also get the tuna sandwich. People scarf them down like they were filet mignon. What’s in them, I have no idea but good they are and good they always have been.

Wow Wow Tuna sandwich. The owner makes like a hundred of them a day from scratch. All us locals care about is getting there in time to have one. You know how bummed I get when there are no Wow Wows left? Well, I don’t buy anything at that point because everything else in the store is just a side dish to my Wow Wow. What makes them so good? I can’t answer that; but I’m guessing he uses the addictive food additive found in the Colonel’s KFC. It’s either that or heroin soaked in bacon grease, I can’t be sure. You can find just about everything you need here, and the staff is super cool. Just make sure you lock your bike up tight, because the smelly bike thieves are anti-cool.
