My boyfriend and I have been wanting to finally try this stand out. High recommend the Oreos! There’s a one of one deal that $ 7 and you get three deep fried Oreos & one twinky. Luckily they use real brand & not nock-offs!

The first time I ever had one and it was awesome. If you’ve near tried one, do so. Don’t count calories for one day. You won’t regret it!

This place is a heart attack waiting to happen, but it’s so damn good. Friend twinkee is great, but the fried peanut butter and jelly thing is even BETTER! Loved it. Again, not the most healthiest place to eat, but it sure is TASTY!!! Thumbs up. Way up.

It was a chance I had to take and I wish i had my $ 4.25 back. In the current state of the Twinkie, I believe that they didn’t get to order the real thing to deep fry… they used imitation Twinkies! No empty center where the cream should be. Until the real Twinkies return, I’d pass.

I was not a fan of the deep fried twinkies, but it was worth a try. It’s something you have to try when you’re at the boardwalk.

You’re on the Santa Cruz Board Walk. You see the sign. It says«Deep fried Twinkies» Don’t pretent that eating one of these is going to kill you. The rest of your diet ain’t that great either. Just eat one. Everyone I’ve told about these wonderful confections says«ewwww gross,» until they eat one. Then they say«ohhhhhhh yum.» Now, I’m not suggesting you should eat one of these every day. But how often are you on the Board Walk, enjoying the sun and the warmth. In reality, there’s nothing on the Board Walk that’s actually nutritious so you might as well get something that tastes good and enjoy it. While you’re at it, try a deep fried Oreo cookie. Better yet, share them with your friends. After all, food is made to be enjoyed AND shared.

Yes, I’m hypothetically a 500lb woman. I admit it. I am not by any means a perfect individual. I have flaws — I wanted pure sugar ecstasy! I KNEW I wanted this REGARDLESS of my weight actuality. I KNEW that I just didn’t want the Twinkies but the Oreos too! You can get both w/powdered sugar and/or w/chocolate syrup. For those that knows me, «Just give me the chocolate syrup in a glass por favor» was exactly what I told the kids but of course as always I was not taken seriously! The kid did give me a generous amount of chocolate syrup… My Daughter enjoyed her Twinkie. I enjoyed my Twinkie and 3 Oreos. I must say that the right amount of batter, crispy-ness equates to purely a taste explosion of wonderful goodness. I told my «conscious» to STFU so I can enjoy being fat. Note: there is a coupon if you get tickets or a wrist band.

CLOGMYARTERIES! Not for dieters or the health-conscious! Pick your poison. There are three items on the menu: Deep fried Oreo’s Deep fried Twinkies Deep fried peanut butter & jelly sandwiches I ordered all three items topped with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup! I wouldn’t recommend someone to eat this everyday and you can opt to have it without the toppings but you’ve come this far, what’s the point of holding back now? Only con is that they’re only really good when they’re freshly made. Let them sit longer than 10 minutes and they get cold and soggy and aren’t really appetizing anymore, plus the price can get expensive. $ 3.75 for THREE Oreo’s? I can buy an entire pack of Oreo’s at Safeway for that price!!! Total cost=$ 10.25. The risk of clogging an artery=free. Yay for Boardwalk food!

I tried the One of Each Combo(1 fried Twinkie + 3 fried Oreos) for $ 6.50. I ate just one of the cookies and half of the twinkie and that was enough for me(i shared the rest with my sisters). The twinkie wasn’t overly sweet… probably not sweet enough for me. The Oreos were a bit on the sweeter side. Either way, I’d prefer them as regular cookies without the friedness. For both. Don’t regret trying them, though I was slightly disappointed with the taste. Maybe i’ll try them again at a different location. Definitely worth the try.

The first place I ever had a deep fried twinkie, and deep fried oreos. I had them first while visiting from Canada, and LOVED them. Not a regular treat, but amazing none the less. I wish they still had the strawberry sauce, instead of only chocolate, but I can deal! Definitely something you have to try at least once.

I used to work here, so I’ve made thousands of these suckers. I recommend the twinkies, they’re dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried. The result tastes like hot delicious pancakes with cream filling. The oreos on the other hand have a weird taste in my opinion. Definitely something you have to try at least once!

So wrong, yet so good. There’s nothing like something sugary, battered and deep fried, then dusted with powder sugar. Taking a break from all the rides, the kids were looking for a snack. With a little encouragement from me, we stopped by the Deep Fried Twinkie Booth( ). We had the deep fried Twinkie before, and yes, it’s sugary fried fat on a stick. Each of the kids had an order of deep fried Oreos( ). There’s three Oreos to each order. They’re battered and fried to order, and hot with each bite. The kids liked them after eating two of them, but couldn’t finish the third one. So I helped them out :) Yes, they’re greasy and sweet, but after a while the sweetness can be tiring. Need to chase down each bite with water. Had to try it, only live once! Not sure I’d get them again.

Not impressed and I have enjoyed these delicious fattening treats before so knew what to expect =(The guy that was working the stand had them already premade and sitting out for some time. I ordered the combo order where you get three Oreos and 1 Twinkie. All items were not served warm, rather cold and hard. The Oreos were the worst and tasted disgusting. Additionally, the cream inside the Twinkie was hard as well. I couldn’t believe that they had them pre-made…pretty disappointing. If you are ever at Balboa Park in San Diego, go patronize that location that offers similar deep-fried treats. Their Oreos are always prepared/served hot/fresh and taste delicious. Won’t be back.

One of the reasons why my boyfriend wanted to come here was cause of the fried oreos. We’ve tried the fried twinkies before but this time he wanted the fried oreos. It cost $ 3.25 for the sweet battered oreos which comes with 3 oreos with powdered sugar and chocolate sauce. You can also get a fried twinkie and a fried oreo for $ 6.50. I’m not a big fan of oreos so it was alright to me. My boyfriend loved it. It was gross after eating it cause I can feel the chocolate on my teeth loll.

So I’ve been hearing about these deep fried twinkies and oreos for quite some time and have never seen them… til I came to the Boardwalk for the first time with friends this weekend. I don’t see the big deal. They are basically twinkies on a stick, coated with the batter that’s similar to that used in funnel cake and fried. I felt like I was eating a big donut with a twinkie filling and the cream was gooey. The oreos were the same thing… just an oreo inside a donut. It was $ 6.95 for a deep fried twinkie and three pieces of the deep fried oreos. One order of these was shared among four people. I only needed a bite of the twinkie to satisfy my curiosity and I had one oreo.

Not the best deep fried twinkie or deep fried oreos I’ve ever had. In fact, I was a little disappointed. The batter isn’t as fresh tasting as I would’ve liked. I had much better deep fried oreos at the San Diego County Fair a few days later, although those ones were almost twice as expensive. Of the two, the oreos are better than the twinkie, in my opinion, because chocolate rules. 3.5 stars.

This is something everyone needs to try at least once! It’s good enough plain when it’s just sprinkled with powdered sugar… tastes wayyy better than a regular Twinkie IMHO. Perfect indulgence after a day of tanning at the beach.

Fried anything is good. DEEPFRIED anything is better! However, these deep fried twinkies are good but the filling inside is completely melted and thus nowhere to be found. I like them fried long enough that the batter is nice and crispy but there is some cream left inside(but that still didn’t stop me from eating them) I have a box of twinkies on the bottommost shelf in my kitchen. I don’t have a deep fryer. Nor does my freezer work well enough to freeze the twinkies before frying them. I kinda want to eat some now and I don’t want to go to the boardwalk. What’s a girl to do?
