My natural length is shorr, so I was excited and nervous to finally cut off my hair. I came in new to the salon and unsure how short I should cut my thick, straight, and past shoulder length hair. Emily talked to be about it and tried to simulate how it would look before cutting, which made me feel so relaxed and at ease to cut off my hair. She did such a great job and I’m really loving it

Gabriella did a great job cutting my hair. She was really easy to talk to and took her time cutting my hair, making sure it was perfect. The salon is a little pricey but worth it for the quality and they also offer a 20% student discount.

I have been a client of Ashlie Lamare for gel manicure for over a year. I love getting my nails done and won’t go to anyone but Ashlie. The manicure looks good for weeks and I’ve never had a nail break. She is amazing.
I am also a newer client for Ashley Busath for hair. I have been to her 3 times now and she always hooks it up. I seriously do not know what I would do without her. I have very thick wavy hair and I like to wear it short. She is so good!!! Highly recommend.

After rereading what I wrote in this review, I realized I was speaking out of anger and I don’t want to have my one poor experience at this salon outshine all of the wonderful hair I’m sure they usually do. No business deserves that.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I have moved out of the area so don’t get to go as often, but I am willing to drive 2 hours just to have Emily cut and dye my hair. She is a genius! And although this salon is a bit pricier than some, I think you definitely get what you pay for. Can’t say enough good things about Faust :)

Six months ago I walked into Faust and sat in Emily’s chair. My hair had been seriously damaged by eight years of living overseas where poor quality dyes had also turned my hair color a flat, dull brown-​black. I hatedI have gone in every four weeks for the last six months and not only is my hair bouncy and full of life, the color is amazing. She has also re-​styled my cut and I literally love my hair now. Every morning when I do my hair I think: wow! Even if I am just putting it up in a clip and heading to the gym… I still think… how much do I love this hair? It’s all because of Emily. She is amazing!!!

Ashley did my hair and I am oh so happy. I came in totally with burnt out purple hair and she brought mine way back to life and then some. She is so personable and knowledgeable and I am so happy my mom suggested her. To me. I will totally go back.

I had a facial with Meagan Stoney and it was awesome! I have had many facials in the past at other places and always left feeling like I would never do that again. I felt completely different after my facial here. Meagan explained everything to me and made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The salon is clean and relaxing. I will def be beck for my facial in a few weeks! I already notice a change in my skin.

Great customer service. Great products. Great job. Definitely going back here for my Blowdrys from now on from Darya

I went in for a basic haircut. I just wanted a couple inches off, no layers, nothing crazy. She starts poking my head and I could tell it was going to be expensive because she was pretending to massage me. She then unnecessarily blow dried my hair for 30 minutes. Then they charged me 60 dollars! That was ridiculous for what they did. She did a nice job with the cut but nowhere near $ 60 worth.

This place is amazing! Everyone here is extremely friendly and they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to hair. I’ve been here over 10 times and every time I have walked away happy (and I’m extremely picky about my hair). Emily is very good at picking the right color and styles that suite me well. All I have to do is schedule the appointment and let her do her thing. I completely trust her.

I have been going to Abby for years now and she is the best in the business. She specializes in hair color treatment and everyone I talk to always compliments me on my hair! Abby really works to match the color you want to your skin tone so that it looks as natural as possible. They always sell fun hair products and all of them know their stuff!
The location is perfect because it’s located right in downtown so after you have your salon day you can head out to downtown and grab lunch!

Visting from out of town. I randomly selected this salon from Unilocal.Pedicure by Ashlie was great! She was super friendly and did a great job — clean paint lines — and I have small nails, so I know it can be difficult. Very pleased with her service.
I only gave 3 stars because the front desk… well no one was there when I arrived; a very friendly hairstylist had to stop in the middle of taking care of her of client to tell me where to go. When I called to make the reservation, I mentioned the 10% Unilocal discount advertised. That was not honored at time of payment AND I was charged $ 45 instead of $ 40. I showed the receptionist the salon’s own pricing menu on the desk and I still wasn’t offered a refund. I was offered a «credit» for the next time I come — which I explained will be never since I’m visiting on vacation. She had nothing else to say — tacky and poor customer service. I don’t even know if a manager was present in the salon, but someone should’ve handled this better. And remove the 10% discount add on Unilocal if you aren’t going to honor it.

Ashlie is amazing. I have been going to her for about 3 months now for rock star awesome nail design. Never had gel nails before but I will never go back. She does everything by hand.

Visiting Faust Salon and Spa was a great experience. The people are friendly, the salon is immaculate and the services are plentiful. The layout of the salon is modern and inviting.
I have been a longtime client of Darya for five years now. Not only is she always friendly and personable, she takes the time to understand what you want, and effectively communicates her methods. Not only is she excellent at trimming and pampering (she takes her time and doesn’t take shortcuts) she is phenomenal at color. I especially like how she sculpts my eyebrows, wax etc. Everything Darya does is deliberate and intentional, with extreme intention to detail. I am completely comfortable in giving her no direction and have her ‘do her thing’ and go wild with my hair (because it always looks amazing and exactly what I want). She truly delivers a 5-​star experience.
Anyone who is «Anyone» must visit. Definitely ask for Darya.

I’m so happy I went to this place!
I’ve never actually gotten a haircut, just trims. But I’m so glad I came here. This place is so nice and the staff is so friendly. They made me feel so comfortable and Ashley ensured that she knew exactly what I wanted in order to satisfy me.
My hair was extremely long and is super thick and heavy so it’s a long process to cut, but Ashley was so patient.
It’s not exactly cheap, but I believe it’s definitely worth it.

This is an awesome place to grab a haircut. The location is excellent being that it’s right in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, and I had no problem finding parking close by.
Darya was my stylist and she did an exceptional job. She knew exactly what I was looking for and did a great job bringing it to life. She was super friendly and made me feel right at home during my time in the chair. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great haircut. She’s the only stylist I trust to get the job done!

Life had been super hectic and I missed a few appointments but Emily literally shook it off and told me what fun things she had in mind to get ready for my 30^th birthday. Knowing I was in good hands I let her do her thing and I can honestly tell you my new style color is awesome. You know its a job well done when the honey even comments on how good it looks. Cuz let’s be honest girls men are usually the last to notice a new haircut/​style!
But part of what makes Emily so great at what she does is the support staff at Faust. They are always friendly and willing to help. One of the girls (I promise I will learn y’alls names!) even went and put money in the meter when my appointment ran long. I literally cannot say enough about Faust. Emily always leaves me feeing like a beauty queen even when I have done horrible awful things to my hair for months on end.
