Sullen and surly staff, curbside drop off is a joke with the giant trucks running fumey engines while the alley is clogged with people on foot, cars trying to get around. Save a pint of emotional blood and find a more worthy local or charity. Sadly stated but better to know that not know. A neighbor and long time goodwill shopper.

SEE: SANTACRUZGOODWILLSTORE for more reviews for this location! I don’t know what the problem is here. The prices in the main store are very high, esp. on clothes – for $ 1 more, I can buy new at Ross. This is curious as they get the stuff for free and I know they don’t pay very well. It is clean and well-lit. The furniture is usually boring and pricey. sometimes falling apart. Now – the real gem here is the Collector’s Corner – only open wed to fri, 10 – 4:30, but be careful you don’t get run over by the dealers at opening hour on wed. Here is some fun stuff with discount at times depending on sticker color. The watches are cleaned and supplied with a new battery – sometimes cheaper than buying the battery itself. The ladies who volunteer here are very friendly and helpful – which is much different from the paid staff in the main store. Here, I encounter rudeness, inefficiency, sullen attitude, and just plain lack of customer service. I once was passed over three times waiting to look at something in a case – when I finally asked loudly to the whole store – whether someone could help me. I got attitude from the manager on that one(never a smile from her) – but got served immediately from the clerk that was passing me up. Hey, I know it’s not Tiffany – but c’mon, I’m not a street bum, either. But the Capitola Goodwill is a very different story. See that review.
