Jack In the Box

Ooh my butt hurts. Yes, I was stupid and are here again at Jack in the Loo. Butt, I have a BOGO free offer in my email and figured who could screw up breakfast.
There a reason I usually go to Scott’s valley Jack. It’s cheaper, $.50 just for what I got today. And I’ve never had gastrointestinal distress from eating at that store. But this one in Santa Cruz, should come with coupons for free TP.

It is Jack in the Box, so I do not expect it to be a fancy place. Contrary to the other reviews, I have had no problem with the service. I have only had orders botched a few times, and only with minor items, such as the dipping sauce for the chicken nuggets. What I do not like about it is the same drug dealer who has been there ALL of the past few times I happened to stop by. He parks his clean white Mercedes Benz in front, comes in and loudly yells his ghetto slang to all his friends who work there as we try to place our order, and then leaves. Within a few minutes, he comes back and does it again. He exchanges small packets with his clients who wander the parking lot. Some of the clients are very methed out. Last time, one of the clients asked repeatedly to use my telephone, and would not stop talking to me about all sorts of weird topics. I really have no problem with addicts, and really would have no problem letting someone use my telephone, but this behavior is so extreme here! The blatancy of the drug dealing is unreal. This is supposed to be Jack in the Box.

Tonight I had the worst experience from a fast food joint. The employees got my order wrong and when confronted were unapologetic and rude. They completely ignored my inquiries and didn’t give me one of my drinks. They weren’t busy at all but acted like they had lines out the door. They didn’t give us sauces or napkins and didn’t even ask if we needed anything. They just focused on trying to move us along as fast as possible.
My previous experiences at this place have not been nearly as bad and at times when they were really busy.
This was the WORST fast food experience I’ve ever had

Food was good for fast food but my issue was with Roberto he was rude to everyone in the drive thru line then dropped our change on the ground didn’t even say sorry just slammed the window on us

I would give it zero stars if I could. The drive through menu where you order is cramped and difficult to see. God forbid you need to look at it for the unhelpful cashier. Drive through service is atrocious. The female employee (Elena?) was about as pleasant as a proctology exam. I get that you work in a low skilled job, but that’s your choice. Learn some customer service skills and have some manners. Way better locations out there. Skip this one.

If I could give this place a fraction of 1 star I would. First off we went through the drive through.
The person taking the order had a very heavy accent which was very difficult to understand.
When handing the guy at the window a $ 20.00 bill for an order that was $ 5.84 and not receiving any change back, there’s definitely something strange going on at Jack In The Crack in Santa Cruz. After telling the guy that I gave him a $ 20.00, he began to get my change. He didn’t like the fact that he was called out on it but he needed to be told something.
And they didn’t get the order correct. Go elsewhere.

I ordered the two tacos for 1.00 deal and they need to return my dollar plus tax. They were greasy, soggy and they went straight to the trash can. One word to describe this place… YUCK!

The store has become very bad, in my opinion. It barks
of failure. You can bet with in two years this place will not
exist. Once a pretty well run“JITB”, it sucks. In my particular
case there were all these people there who could barely speak
english and they messedup and burned my buns! I will not go
back there. sorry, go ‘mehico.’ they dont’ care if Whites get happy or not.

The food is good but the service is terrible. Went through the drive through and whoever was taking orders couldn’t understand a word. After five minutes of frustration we have up on half our order because it was too much of a struggle. Also they don’t have mozzarella sticks :(if you come to this jack in the box, don’t bother with the drive thru and go inside.

The food is worth it but the service is so so. Over all its a good quick tasty place to munch. Since they are open ²⁴⁄₇ it makes it easy to eat all night all day or when ever you want.
The menu is good loads of options for breakfast lunch dinner and snack attacks their milk shakes are fairly good the vanilla tastes fake but the chocolate is awesome.
If your on jury duty and need a place to eat this is it. Quick simple and easy to get to if you can get across Ocean st.
I give it a 4 out of 5 stars because the staff is so so. If they were to pick up the pace a little, I’d have given a 5.

Oreo shake = delicious!

Outside of the pricier Betty’s Burgers, this is the best quick food joint in Santa Cruz county.
I have been to this JitB 30+ times and never received a bad burger or jalepeno popper meal. Heck, even compared to Jack in the Boxes in other cities, this is one of the best.
Downside? They have a normal fast-​food bathroom — smelly and covered in graffiti scratches — cleaned regularly though.

Just like any other JITB. Fresh tacos and fries! Came here after a day at the Boardwalk and wanted something quick to eat. Guy taking orders at drivethru was fast and quick. He kepts the line going quick. Defin would return if in the area.

Why does this place have the same rating as the JIB
in Scotts Valley?
I used to come here all the time, until now there is a better
JIB and i’ll tell you why.
The people here A) Don’t give a shit about your order B) Food
is okay, but not always hot and C) There are always shady
people here.
It’s not the cleanest and they are very slow. Not that friendly and
i would rather take my business elsewhere.

Hiring Juan is the best decision you guys have made. He was the most professional, and polite employee at jack-​in-​box that I’ve come across.
Overall, it’s a bad part of town with junkies and homeless people everywhere, but the food is worth it. Better than mcdonalds, burger king, Carl’s jr, etc.

Jack in the box, Oh how you’re such a player. Whenever the friends and I have a few on a fun night out, you somehow slide your way into the game plan. As if anyone would really think you’re a good idea, Oil, Fat, Carbs, at 3 am in the morning!!! Somehow you always find the way to take advantage of us while we just aren’t in the right state of mind… Weasel your way into our lives for just another night… Leaving us feeling completely guilty in the morning. Oh Jack in the Box. When will we ever get over you???
Great service at this very busy location. Put in a 35 dollar order of 20 tacos, 10 chicken sandwiches, enough stuffed jalapeño’s and a couple orders of fries and some forgotten goods. I’m not sure why, and it doesn’t really matter, but we were asked to reverse a few feet back while they processed our order. Keeping us out of view of their drive through window. That was a little strange, but they got everything right! Made for a funny and memorable night!

Very VERY busy.
They have a munchies menu! Ha!
Other than that, very simialr to all other Jack in the Cracks.

Came here during the night and it was pretty darn ghetto. Just being here made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Long line and it took a good 30 minutes just to get my food. completely not fast food at all.
Oh there’s also a 30 minute sitting time limit.
Not my scene. Definitely won’t be coming here again.

I think it’s been 20 years or so since I’ve seen or eaten at a Jack In The Box.
So when I saw one in Santa Cruz — I knew I had to check it out.
One evening I stopped in and ordered the «Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger»: Two beef patties topped with three slices of bacon, American and Swiss-​style cheeses, Mayo-​Onion sauce, mustard and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. I added lettuce, tomato, and onions to the sandwich — and a Diet Coke.
A very tasty and yummy burger!
Wish we had a Jack In the Box around here!
