I’ve been meaning to write a review for Kasha for quite some time… I’ve been a patient for approx 5years. I lost my mom who was also my very best friend, end of 2008. This was beyond devastating to me. I experienced severe depression/​anxiety from that point on, for the first time in my life. I dealt with many other big changes shortly after, as well as a car accident and all of this really took a toll on me not just emotionally, but was manifesting physically as well. I’d always had pretty good health, but at that point was just not feeling well at all. Had lots of aches and pains, digestive issues, etc. it got to the point where I was vomiting every morning and feeling nauseous all day. I went to my doctor multiple times and had many tests done, only to be told that everything looked fine and that maybe I was suffering from acid reflux and was put on medication for that. I did not feel improvement and was getting desperate for relief. My anxiety was worsening because I did not know what was wrong with me. I was being encouraged by family and friends to try medication for my depression/​anxiety as well, but I was hesitant and wanted that to be a last resort. I wanted to try natural things first. That is where Kasha comes in! She came highly recommended to me so I decided to give her a try. From my very first appointment I felt so comfortable with Kasha and so relieved to hear she felt confident she could help me. She reassured me that though all of my symptoms seemed very weird to me, they really weren’t all that unusual in Chinese medicine. And help me she did! After 2 treatments the vomiting stopped and I was already feeling much improvement. It took awhile of treatments and Chinese herbs but I have come so far. I have weaned down to one visit a month at this point. She has helped tremendously with my depression/​anxiety/​stress, digestive issues, neck pain, breast pain and many other anxiety related symptoms and random aches and pains. I also had horribly painful menstrual cycles every month, that I had dealt with for years. Through treatment and herbs she has helped greatly in that area! I no longer have to load up on pain meds during that time. Anytime I have signs of a cold or other type of illness, I call Kasha and she knows just what to do. I have been able to avoid medications/​antibiotics for many years now. She has helped my husband tremendously as well with his previously unanswered health issues and helped us to make so many positive changes in our diets and lifestyle. She is also just a wonderful, amazing, kind and caring person! She has become one of my favorite people and I look forward to seeing her at my appointments. She really listens to you and feels like a trusted friend. You have no doubt she truly cares and wants to help you. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone needing relief in some area of their health… or those who are interested in maintaining good health. She is also very fair in her pricing of treatments as well as supplements. I am beyond grateful to Kasha for all she has done! She has literally been a life saver! Thank you Kasha!!!

I’ve been coming to Kasha for at least 2 – 3 years now. She is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known. She has helped me get to the healthiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. I’ve struggled with health issues my whole life. I’ve had asthma, allergies, eczema, vertigo, digestive issues, among many other things. I basically lived in the hospital as a child and during my teenage years I really struggled with my health. My allergies and asthma were so regular that I basically learned to live with them and saw them as normal. But in high school, I began to have severe abdominal pains. I went to the ER on about three different occasions, having tons of tests done. Every time the doctors thought it was appendicitis but it always turned out not to be. My digestive struggles continued. The doctors could not find anything wrong with me. I basically ignored most of my health issues and continued on with my life. I got married at the age of 24, and my health issues continued. During this very happy time in my life I began to gain weight. I got to the heaviest I had ever been. My wife began to have health issues of her own that went undiagnosed by all her medical doctors. She eventually found Kasha and she helped her tremendously. During this time my health worsened even more. My wife tried really hard to convince me to see Kasha but I refused. I had always been very skeptical about acupuncture and how it helped in any way. I told her that if it helped her it was great but that it wasn’t for me. Shortly after my wife began to regularly see Kasha, my digestive issues took a turn for the worse. My medical doctor was of no help. I went to Urgent Care on numerous occasions, with little help for my pain. I basically went there because I knew that at the ER all tests would be «normal» and I would be sent home with no help. I eventually was referred to a gastroenterologist. This doctor was very nice and promised me that he would get to the bottom of my problem. I went in for a colonoscopy confident that I would finally get a diagnosis and be able to get some sort of treatment. The doctors met with me and said that part of my lower intestine was inflamed. But they weren’t sure what it could be because they thought it might be IBS or beginning stages of Crohn’s disease, but biopsies came back negative so everything was inconclusive. A few weeks later we got the medical bill for thousands of dollars with no diagnosis and no treatment plan. At this point, I was extremely desperate for help. My wife supported me in my firm belief in medical doctors, but after every disappointing appointment she always kindly reminded me that acupuncture was there for me to try. I eventually agreed to meet with Kasha. At our first appointment she mostly talked with me. Asked me a lot of questions about my health history and took note of everything. She seemed very genuine and concerned, a feeling a I never got from any of my other doctors. And at the end of our session, which must’ve lasted about an hour, we went into the treatment room. I was extremely nervous about the needles and I must admit that the first session was not really relaxing for me. But as I kept going I started to slowly see improvement in my digestion, which came as a shock to me. Before every session, Kasha would ask about my progress and I felt like I could be very open and honest with her about my struggles. She seemed mostly concerned because of my young age and just how sick I already was. Eventually she ordered a blood test for my wife and I and the results for me were not good. She came up with a cleanse/​detox diet for us that I was NOT thrilled about. I was basically a soda addict, and had been brought up in a Mexican household where fatty foods, large amounts of carbs, and a daily large dose of sugar was a normal way of life. But I knew I HAD to change since I was already showing signs of developing fatty liver. With Kasha’s treatments, help and guidance I got through our first cleanse, which was EXTREMELY difficult for me. She would continue to encourage us to make changes in our diet and active lifestyle. She also recommended a protein powder and Chinese herbs that have basically changed how I feel everyday now. I feel that the transformation has been slow, but it has been a complete transformation. I’ll always remember all the little suggestions she told me during every session. Little things that have become a huge part of my life. I never knew I could feel this way! I began to make little changes slowly. Now I LOVE organic meats and vegetables, and have lost a total of 30 pounds. I gave up soda, which I had told Kasha was an impossibility. And what’s most important to me is that I FEEL good and healthy. My digestive issues are under control and I’m enjoying the best physical health I could ask for. Kasha made this possible for me and I will forever be grateful. I’m a completely different person today! Kasha is truly an amazing human being! POSITIVITY!

I started seeing Kasha a year and a half ago and since then she has totally changed my life. I have Hashimoto’s Disease and with her treatments and guidance she has helped me feel so much better! She is so dedicated, grounded, and full of the most amazing ideas and advice. I have moved to San Francisco and seen several other DCMs and no one comes close to Kasha. I still see her when I can and it is always so worth the drive! She has helped me with my menses, mood, digestion, stress and energy levels. I highly recommend, she is the best!!!

When I started seeing Kasha as a patient, I was in a bad way with diabetes. I had extremely high blood sugars, I had terrible joint pains, and was on 11 different medicines. I also had a severe case of insomnia. Also I ad a bad case of depression. I’m not sure where I would be without Kasha’s help ! She is very professional, caring and very knowledgeable. She would check in with me between appointment to make sure I was well and staying on track and every health related question I would ask she seemed to know all about and tell me what I could do to help myself. she has worked through all my problems with me and I am now down to only 3 medicines !! I am in better health than I have been in 10 years. She is now working on the nuerapathy in my feet with great results. My feet were totally numb with shooting pains all the time. My Dr. had told me that nothing could be done for my feet except to regulate the pain. She didn’t know Kasha! Now my feet have feelings again and the pain is mostly gone Kasha is simply the best !! I feel that she has turned my life around! I would reccomend her to anyone !!

I was an acupuncture patient of Kasha’s for about 6 months and she was amazing. She helped to relieve tension and chronic pain in my neck and shoulder as well as overall relaxation and stress relief. Kasha was so friendly and dedicated to my well-​being at every visit and she was really affordable. Wishing I still lived in Santa Cruz so I could continue to see her! Highly recommended…

I came to Kasha with an issue that the medical doctors couldn’t diagnose and had kept telling me that «I looked to be fine». Kasha discovered my problem right away and administered treatment effectively, and continues to check in with me. I feel so taken care of! She is awesome. I recommend her to everyone now!

I went to Kasha recently with digestive issues and a back injury. I had previously seen 3 doctors about these issues, none of whom could offer any tangible help. Kasha was extremely receptive to the issues and proved extremely knowledgeable and professional. After the first visit I felt a tangible change. She’s great!

Kasha is the best! She has a gentle touch and a calm, warm presence. She puts even acupuncture newcomers completely at ease. My husband and tried for a couple of years to conceive a second child without luck. I began to see Kasha once a week and follow her program of supplements and nutrition, and four months later we were pregnant. I am now 23 weeks pregnant and plan to go to see Kasha again in a couple months for birth preparation treatment. I cannot say enough about how great seeing her was. One visit and you will love her as much as I do.
