I have ben watching the commercials for pick2 for $ 2 for the past few months, it’s been all over the news. The local Mickey Ds does not offer this promotion. I have called all the local stores and get the same answer that they have pick2 for $ 2.50. I called the local owner and got hung up on by the administrative assistant. I talked to corporate and all she could do is apologize, and had no reason the delinquency. This institution is very deceptive in their advertising. After reading all the Unilocal stories, I will do my very best to never to go into another store.

I wish there was a 0 stars, but I havent had McDonalds in 5 – 6 years. I SERIOUSLY do not understand why people eat here while you can go to some other decent place that doesn’t shred up particles of an animal or fake«beef». Ya’ll are some nasty people.

I HAVENEVERHADSUCHANAWFULEXPERIENCEATMCDONALDS. firstly — never in all my years have i been denied another sauce at mcdonald’s. she wouldnt even give me just one extra sweet & sour sauce ! everyone knows the ratio of sauce to ~anything~ at mcdonald’s is 2:1 !! at least! 0.33 $ for another sauce ?? i just think ronald mcdonald would not like his business represented in such a blood-sucking-money-hoarding manner. to top it off i only received ½ of cheese on my 4 $ fillet-o-shit IMNOTLOVINIT! We went inside to order our food. They were busy in drive through but not inside. This was the longest i have waited at any Mcdonalds, and probably any fast food. Our order was a chicken nugget meal, and a double cheeseburger meal. After waiting almost 20 mins for our food, the food was at least hot and right. The employees were nice, and the place was clean.

Good as usual! Had the new jalapeño burger and it was pretty good. Also love the chicken nuggets deal in America! Not much more I can say about McDonald’s because it is, afterall, McDonald’s!

$ 2FORLARGEFRIES! I’ve been to McDonald’s across the east bay and this is the only one with $ 2 large fries. Everywhere else is at least $ 2.60 so you might as well add that 10 cents to upgrade from a medium to a large. The price is why this is my favorite McDonald’s ever. I’m a big fan of fast food restaurants, especially McDonald’s. This is the best McD I’ve ever been to and ever since they remodeled, I’ve been more inclined to go here. The workers are always friendly(or at least don’t act like they hate their lives) and the food is as fast as it should be, which can’t be said for every fast food restaurant. I eat at fast food restaurants more than a person should so trust me when I say this place is good. Good service, fast food, and clean dining area. This place is cleaner than some sit down restaurants(not sure about the bathroom though but pretty sure you should just go at home lol).

The parking lot for this McDonald’s was huge! There was ample parking so you don’t have to fight someone for a parking space. Although, it is limited to 30 minutes. I walked in I was surprised. I was thinking that it would be another average McDonald’s but it was clean, well-maintained, modern, and quiet. The bathrooms were also clean and everything looked new. I ordered medium fries and the employees were friendly. Surprisingly one of the best McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had.

Li yan was awesome with customer service. I had a question about mini fries and my boyfriend had requested extra vanilla for his coffee. She was patient and kind regardless of being the only cashier. Good job! Josh c. Was cool too!

When traveling, McDonald’s is always a good place to stop to get food and use the bathroom. Before ordering food we decided to use the bathroom and freshen up. The bathroom was disgusting with poopy toilet paper on the floor, no clean toilet paper, and to top it off no running water to wash your hands. When I asked for a manager, the girl at the counter was gone almost five minutes. She came back to tell me that I couldn’t talk to the manager because he was busy on the phone. I explained that I really needed to talk to the manager or the next person in charge. She was gone for another five minutes and brought back a young man. He said he wasn’t the manager and gestured that he was the next in line. I told him about the conditions of the bathroom and he seemed surprised. I then askef him to tell the managerthat maybe the next time a customer asked to speak with the manager that he could find a way to end his phone call. The young man and young women said he was on an important phone call with the owner. After we made a surprised look on our face, we were told that we didn’t have to stay that we could go. So we left.

Prior to moving to Santa Cruz a month or two ago, I hadn’t been to McDonalds for years; I always went to Jack in the Box whenever I had a junky fastfood burger craving and never had issues. However, this store is very close to where I live, so my boyfriend and I have come here a couple times. This time, he ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese and mac sauce(extra 30 cents) to go. We get home and it’s a single quarter pounder(missing 1 patty), but we paid a dollar-something more for the double and it said double on all the receipts. Now, I normally wouldn’t be bothered to actually go back but the place is like 2 min away so I was like f*ck it, let’s just get it fixed. I have a really big problem throwing food away. Thus, when we got there, I told the old lady at the register about the mistake but stated very clearly INPLAINENGLISH that I’d prefer that they just make a new double that we paid for and that I’d pay for the single and just keep it. Without any apologies for the mistake, she looked at me like I had antennae growing out of my face but at least nodded in what I assumed to be comprehension of my simple request. She then took the box to the back, screamed at them about the mistake, then disappeared. There was now no one at the register with like 5 people in line behind us. About 3 workers in the back were just standing back there staring at the line and the manager was wandering aimlessly. We moved to the pickup counter to see what was going on(still no one at the register) and finally we’re handed a box. There was a new burger in it, so apparently my request had just been completely ignored. The manager was drifting around the front the whole time doing nothing. At this point, I knew the old burger was already in the trash and I was so irritated at how retarded the service and workflow was that we just took it and left. I really wish I had said something but A. I didn’t feel like making a scene in a fast food place and B. I doubt they’d even understand what I was saying since apparently«DONOTTHROWTHISINTHETRASH, I WILLPAYFORITANDKEEPIT» is just too complex to sort out. If by policy they had to dispose of the old burger, they could’ve at least said so. Oh, and the new burger had no mac sauce on it which we paid extra for. Primordial goo has a higher IQ level than that of the collective of the staff here. Think I’ll drive 5 minutes extra and stick to Jack in the Box.

I have eaten at McDonald’s all over the world– Japan, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium and in about 40 states across the US, plus I worked at one in high school. I know a little something about how they are run. This one was very poor. I stopped in on a Monday night at 10pm. I was surprised there was no drive-up window but that must be a Santa Cruz city ordinance. Once inside I noticed 4 or 5 people already in line, plus another 6 waiting for their orders. Only one person was working a register. One person was cooking. One person was bagging the orders and a manager seemed to be working on other things. When it was my turn to order the cashier said I had to wait because the customer in front of me had to go to his car to get more money. Huh? How is that my problem? Now, everyone is waiting. When she was ready, I ordered two double-cheeseburgers, no pickles, no onions, and a small decaf coffee. I was number 71 to go. As I turned to join the other waiting customers, now about 10 of us. I could see the numbers being called on a big flat screen above the counter. «Number 61», the bagger person said. «Number 67» he said. «Number 68». There was about two minutes between these calls and I started watching his technique for filling these orders. Now when I worked at McD’s you retrieved the food in a specific order– drinks first, then sandwiches, fries last. This guy was doing it backwards. He would bag up someone sandwiches only to discover they’d ordered a smoothie or ice cream flurry. Now their fries were sitting there while went to make the drinks. Wrong! One customer came up to the counter and said«what’s the holdup? I ordered a single hamburger. Number 62, have you called 62 yet?» They had not. It looked like the cook had simply skipped his burger to do more complicated sandwiches. He was getting mad and loud. The manager stepped in to say«your burger is coming right up». Which was a lie. He had to go back there and tell the cook to make a plain burger. The customer, who was really irritated at this point, took his tray and turned around as the single burger went flying. It hadn’t been wrapped very well and came out and plopped onto the floor. Karma? Maybe. The manager ordered up another one for him. Good call! Now he was still waiting but was quiet this time. A few minutes later, the bagger is still filling orders at an agonizingly slow pace. «72, your order’s ready». Skipped me. «73» Hmmm. «74» What the heck? «75» I stepped up to the counter. «Excuse me, what could be taking so long?» I said politely. «What number are you?» I told him. He searched the bin for my double cheeseburgers and checked his computer screen. He had skipped over my order for some reason and even he didn’t know why. I continued to stand at the counter hoping my presence will make the manager, still working on something else, jump into action. Finally, I see my food come up. «78, order’s ready». Not mine. I see him fill a bag with small fries. Then my two burgers come up. That’s when bag boy sees I’ve ordered a Decaf coffee. He shouts to someone«I need a small decaf». Now the gal on the register announces«we need to make a fresh pot». She then tells me the same. I look at my watch. I’ve been in there over 20 minutes already. It’s a good thing this place has no drive thru, the line would be over a block. Since she’s working on coffee, there is no one taking orders. New customers are almost out the door. This place needed two or three more employees! Finally, with a fresh cup of decaf, my food bagged up and I’m out the door. It was getting so crowded I just needed some air. Plus, I was starving. I journeyed to my hotel room about 3 minutes away. Of course my burgers were luke warm, my fries soggy, but coffee was hot! As I unwrapped the second burger, I realized it wasn’t even a double cheese, just a single! Now, I was mad. That’s when I logged onto Unilocal and wrote this review. In a nutshell, not enough employees working; subpar management supervision; the method/techniques used by employees didn’t seem to be McDonald’s high standards for freshness. The lobby trashcans were full. The napkin holder’s were empty. Was definitely not the cleanest McDonald’s I have been to. All in all, a poor experience for a franchise I know and love.

Slow Slow Slow Slow Slow service. Fast food? Try them in the morning, around 7:00 and watch your life pass before your very eyes. They don’t rip you off for extra syrup like 41st does(thirty cents? give me a break today), but you’ll die of old age waiting

Who doesn’t like McDonald’s? OK, I know A LOT of people who don’t and I typically only come in the morning for my sausage muffin with egg — yum! Usually there’s no one in line and two or three cashiers waiting to help. The last time I went in before the year ended — my last muffin of 2012(which didn’t happen and has yet to happen for 2013)… I go in as usual and there’s a HUGE line! The cashiers were 2 or 3 looking at one register trying to figure something out. It was so annoying and no one moved for the 90 seconds I waited. I don’t have time to wait for this so I left in a huff. There was no reason for that. I’ll be back someday; but only when I have a craving. Thank the goddesses that doesn’t happen very often… I try to eat healthy. I can’t remember the last time I had my other favorite, the Big Mac!

One of the cleanest McDonald’s I have ever been to. I don’t normally go here, but when friends are here visiting me in Santa Cruz, this is the spot to go to for consistent food. You should already know about the dollar menu and their mini meals. $ 3(pretax) and you’re good to go. If I really wanna spoil myself and spoil my diet as well,(well could be used as a cheat meal) I would go for the Mushroom and Swiss Cheese Angus Burger. It’s a solid burger which is comparable to many gourmet burgers. The burger is juicy and the swiss cheese and mushroom combination makes for a great burger. Another healthy choice but may be on the high-end side of McDonald’s(pricier side) would be their Premium Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich, which can be found here: Other than that, and you don’t care about your health, go for 20 McNuggets for $ 4.99(pretax). Who can resist?(Me on most days) Quick Tip: FREEWIFIHERE!

Like any other McDonald’s, it is mediocre. The only thing about this McD, is no DRIVE-Through, you must park and walk in! Last time I order twenty piece nuggets and it wasn’t fresh at all. In fact, the nuggets tasted like it was sitting in a warmer for a long time. It was not too crispy, but more soggy. It was too late already do anything about it because I was home, it was not worth the drive to get an exchange. The frozen smoothies are good, like the strawberry pink lemonade and I also tried the pineapple mango. Very good and the machine that blends the ice does a really good job. Overall this is only McDonald’s that is near UCSC and a quick grab is sometimes necessary. **parking** They have their own private lot without a drive-through Cash credit or MCD gift cards!
