Definitely has a «local» vibe. Walk in on a Sunday for lunch. There is a single cook on duty wearing no shirt, but a hemp-vest with his manly armpits flapping over the food-prep area. Questionable? Definitely. I was too hungry to care and hoped I would not be greeted with a random armpit hair in my food. The patio area could be improved. The overall space has great potential, but it feels like there is a lot of unnecessary clutter, from the shade cloth that was not retracted correctly to the random(and dirty) BBQs in the back. The patio is functional, but not really relaxing. The food was actually really good. I’m not sure that I would go out of my way to revisit this place. On our way out, the staff had turned over, and the new cook was wearing proper attire.

Came here for lunch on a weekend. I remembered the last time I came, they were closed by 2pm on weekends. But now they’re open until 5pm EVERYDAY! Woo! ATMOSPHERE: relaxing inside with tall bar-stools and tables. Im guessing there are outlets around because people were on their laptops/working inside. MENU: pretty short and sweet consisting of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast plates. Very vegetarian friendly. TASTE: ~ Polenta breakfast: a good pat of polenta, sautéed kale, chimichurri sauce, and fried egg. The presentation is nice and makes you feel healthy because of how green it is lol. Sadly, everything tasted a bit bland… We needed to reach for the salt shaker even with the chimichurri sauce. It was a good amount of food, so I was pretty full after. But since nothing was overly oily or seasoned, I wasn’t in a food coma afterwards. My boyfriend added bacon, which was two thick crispy pieces. I’ll definitely come back for other food and coffee, but I hope everything else has a little more flavor.

I was really excited to eat here with my 2 year old son, especially since they serve hot bone broth, but this was not an ok experience. Pros: excellent quality food ingredients. My blat had thick bacon and ripe tomatoes. My bone broth was steamed which gave it a sort of creamy texture. My 2 year old loved the Nutella toast. Good was prepared quickly. The kitchen staff was helpful and friendly which was nice. Cons: service is very slow at the cashier. The cashier was not very helpful(but I got the vibe that it wasn’t his fault). I asked if they could make a simple grilled cheese for my son and the reaction was as if I had asked them to go buy ingredients they didn’t have from the store. They definitely have bread, cheese, pans and a stove. The young lady the cashier consulted about my request walks around with a sour look on her face and dismissive attitude. It is definitely not a child friendly place even though many of my friends said it was. Perhaps I came on an off day. I’ll have to try it again and update my review if I ever feel the need to go back.

I keep coming back. The food is so good. There is a new owner now, and she is a true sweetheart. The coffee is always excellent. My favorite is the standard breakfast sandwich with an extra egg. The ambiance is never less than warm, friendly, and busy neighborhood vibe.
