Best dog park in Santa Cruz, actually has grass, secure enclosure and stocked poop bags Be prepared for the grity Santa Cruz locals that seem to live at the dog park, they’re pleasant people but might look scary to tourists.

This place has grass and a decent amount of space for dogs to roam. Though I dont personally consider this a three star place, compared to the other parks in the area, this one is the best.

Great little dog park to let the little guy run around when downtown Santa Cruz. Dogs are always well behaved and friendly here. Plenty of room to play fetch. Everything one would want in a dog park.

My dogs love this dog park, and based upon their behavior, I’d say its their favorite by far. A lot of dog parks it seems like lately are putting those wood chips on the ground all over the whole park. This park does NOT have these wood chips, thankfully, because my dogs are very small chihuahuas(7lbs &3lbs), and when their is wood chips, they can’t really run or move around easily. This park has the natural dirt and patches of weeds or whatever, which is cool for them, cuz they can run! Its also a good size, and their are trees that provide some shade, which a lot of the other dog parks around here lack. Plus their is a human and dog water fountain, which is also a big plus in my opinion. So, with all of these things taken into consideration, I gave it 5 stars!

Our small local dog park that makes our puppy Buster happy :) Its not much but lots of locals come here so usually there are a fair amount of friendly doggies to play with. Enclosed dirt/grass area long enough to play fetch. One picnic table for doggie parents to share and a water fountain for pups and people.

This is the newest dog park in Santa Cruz run by the Cty of Santa Cruz. My dog loves it, I am okay with it. There are two spaces for parking, DOUBLEGATES, a picnic table, trash can, newly installed water fountain — but bring your own bags. It has grass and a long stretch to chase a ball. I liked the walk along the top side which is more suitable for walking and sniffing… but we will definitely be using the opportunity to chase the ball, too. Other dogs and people were nice, neighborhood seems fine. I just made sure to keep my eye on my little one due to the foot traffic on both sides. My husband says he had fleas on his ankles last time we were there last week of September 2014,
