Mobile Kangaroo – Apple Authorized

I’m changing my rating to four stars for great follow-​up customer service. The owner of Mobile Kangaroo reached out to me after my original review, and he offered that I come into the store one more time, so they could fix the touch sensitivity issues on my iPhone screen — at no additional cost. He coordinated everything and checked in to make sure I had no further issues.
I went to the store again, and the whole process took only 15 minutes for me to leave with a perfectly working screen. I am giving four stars because it was a hassle to have a malfunction in my screen, but I appreciated Mobile Kangaroo’s response to my original dissatisfaction. Now, I am satisfied!

My teenage son had finally shattered his Samsung phone screen. I had taken the phone to a couple of places in Bay Area & was quoted $ 250. We happened to be in Santa Cruz & after reading reviews and buying a Unilocal coupon– the price was right and service first rate. I would highly recommend them.

I experienced, rapid, professional service when they replaced my Samsung S5 screen. They told me the cost, then made sure I knew about a Unilocal coupon to further lower it. The folks at Moblie Kangaroo told me it’d take under two hours and it was ready earlier than promised. I highly recommend them.
I contrast this with ClickAway where I’d first take my broken phone. ClickAway told me one price when I called, then another $ 79 higher once I was in the store — and didn’t try to work with me when I told them of the phone quote. ClickAway had the phone from Sat to Weds and still did NOT fix it. Over those many days, ClickAway repeatedly said their expert would call me immediately yet only called back after I called them. RunAway from ClickAway and hop straight to Mobile Kangaroo — I wish I’d done so in the first place.

I brought my iPhone 5S into Mobile Kangaroo for a broken screen. Everything else worked totally fine. They even mentioned that when it broke it only damaged the screen.
After putting a new screen on, the brightness wouldn’t go all the way up and the colors were weird. I took it back in, and they changed the screen again but it was the same, except that there were now weird light dots and he said it was because of pressure from the screen and I would have to bring it in again. I went in a total of 4 times. Then, my home button stopped working, and the phone was hard to use because it was kind of slow and glitchy. When I pressed on the screen you could see weird marks from the «pressure» of the screen they installed. A few days later, the LCD screen has completely turned off. I wish I had not taken my phone here.

Great place. Had an appointment at 5pm was late getting there, they took my phone, fixed it the same day and now my life can go on as normal. The service there is amazing, they really do know what is going on when it comes to fixing phones. My wife is really happy after all it was her phone that was cracked lol. Over all if you are looking for a place that knows what they are doing, and will charge you a far price for quality work then this is definitely the paths m place

Brought my computer here a while back when the screen stopped working during finals week. When I got it back from them it still didn’t completely work so I had them look at it again. The second time I got it back they informed me that the whole harddrive was bricked (I lost all my data and schoolwork) and if I wanted to sell it to them for parts… lol. Took it apart myself later and noticed they had broken the connector for the keyboard backlight as well as removed the microphone? Pretty lame service — wish I had just brought it to apple and had them look at it. Would not recommend.
PS if you are a student at UCSC there is an on-​campus fixit service via ITS! I would have used that if i’d known.

Just dropped my phone off to replace the Cracked Glass
and got it back in less than 2 hours. Very happy with the friendly
staff and quality of work. They allowed me to switch back to the Black front I used to have
before replacing on Warranty and getting a White face because that is what they had available. I work on my Phone so quick Turn around was important!

Excellent service, fast, relatively affordable (compared to other repair shops in Santa Cruz, plus the Unilocal coupon that they added in is always a plus).
I cracked the screen of my iPhone 6. The worker said he was surprised I had no other damage with how bad the screen’s condition was. Despite this, they replaced the screen in a little less than an hour! (Luckily they’re located near all the restaurants/​cafes/​shops if you need to pass the time) The screen looks good as new, and feels just like a normal iPhone screen. No problems with touch or sensitivity. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Great service! I needed to have my screen replaced, the staff was able to answer my questions over the phone and when I got there they were friendly and quick. An hour later my iPhone was looking like new and I was very happy. Really nice to have a place like this in downtown Santa Cruz.

These dudes are awesome. I had a hard drive failure on a 1 year old computer. I somehow had all my work files backed up except for the most important one. They were able to find the specific file, recover it, and put it on a flash drive for less than half the price I was prepared for, and they did it in less than 24 hours. Saved my butt big time!

Fast, friendly, flexible and affordable! iPhone 6+ screen cracked. My phone is a replacement and is gold w/​a white face. I hate it. i didn’t get a choice. I asked the guys at Mobile Kangaroo if they could put a black replacement screen on it. They said «sure»! STOKED!!! It’s in a case so I don’t have to look at the hideous gold but now because Mobile Kangaroo was flexible with my request, I now have a phone that looks great! The work they did was flawless!

I can’t even explain how impressed I am with Mobile Kangaroo, had to leave a Unilocal review about it. I had a bad experience getting my cracked phone screen repaired from a place in San Jose a few months back. The other night my screen popped out of place and turned pixilated black/​rainbow. I thought my phone was done for but I came in here and they said it was a simple fix. (thank goodness). He let me know it would be an hour wait and $ 95, which to me was much better than buying a new phone through my insurance plan that would cost me $ 160. I waited an hour and a half to be safe, and my phone was good as new! He said there were no complications besides there being some weird internal stuff done by the previous repair place.
All in all, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend this phone repair place to everyone in the Santa Cruz area.

I had cracked my I-​phone 6 screen and they had it back to me in a few hours. Very professional. Explained the cost structure upfront. I am very pleased.

These boys are very helpful and efficient. Cost was reasonable for a screen replacement on an iPhone and I could drop it off right away! It’s definitely a hole in the wall bare bones, bare décor shop but the cost and customer service is excellent.

I was on a weekend getaway trip and my lcd screen gave out on my galaxy s4. These guys repaired my phone by the next day. I paid $ 159 which was a bit pricy but reasonable considering it was last minute and i needed the info on my device.

Just got my 5C fixed by these guys in an hour and got a great deal-​paid half of what Apple charges. Also, they have a very nice staff!

Background: I accidentally managed to break my laptop screen.
The kids that work in there are friendly. Price is GREAT* (*compared to everywhere else I tried going to, plus that Unilocal coupon was really nice)
Why 2 stars? Well, it took a while for the part to be shipped out which was fine. That’s out of their control.
So, I finally brought my laptop in on Friday (two days after the screen came in), this is almost two weeks from when I first came in and ordered the new screen. I let them have my laptop for the weekend since I didn’t need it. I told them when I’m coming back and how I needed it for homework. I return Sunday to pick it up, excited to see my newly repaired laptop… to only learn they didn’t work on it! All the time I gave them, it wasn’t even looked at and was at the bottom of the shelf like it was forgotten.
This was a two week process, it could have been a week and a half if I didn’t wait a few days to bring my laptop in to be repaired, but still.
Friendly staff, great price, too long of a process.
But I do REALLY appreciate them for fixing my laptop. Now that it’s fixed school isn’t nearly as stressful as it was the last two weeks.

Great service — great price. These guys were very helpful and knowledgeable. They even allowed us to use the Unilocal coupon to save $ 15 on a new iPhone screen on the spot.
The repair when very quickly, but as it turns out the new screen was defective. They immediately helped us by fixing that issue without ANY HASSLE or argument. I was a bit surprised because I am really getting some bad service these days and feel as if I should start posting reviews on places that suck. This is a tiny little joint, but they do good work and they are super-​friendly.
P. S. I had called five other places before going here. They were last on my list. I can;t rate the other «cell phone repair» places in Santa Cruz because they were closed during business hours. Oh well.

The people at AT&T told me my iPhone had an unfixable hardware problem and I’d need to buy a new one… unless the guys at Mobile Kangaroo could fix it. The guys at MK diagnosed a software problem and reformatted (?) the phone for $ 30. They also replaced the cracked screen for $ 100 — and all within 24 hours.
I’m a very satisfied customer. (…and props to AT&T store employees for making me aware of MK instead of just trying to convince me to buy a new phone.)
