I inherited many fine art lithographs, paintings, and various sculptures, many in need of minor to moderate repair to return them to their former condition. I heard about Chris Kenney through local museums​, local acquaintances and friends and he has been tending to my art collection for years now. I had the pleasure of listening to his recent talk at the Monterey Art Museum and decided to let him know of my appreciation here in a review. Much of my paintings are valuable, as well as have sentimental value to me and I wouldn’t trust them to a lesser qualified person. He has also advised me with, sales, maintenance, display, storage and transport. So grateful for Chris at Mobius!

When my aunt died in 2007, my wife and I inherited some paintings including one of considerable value. Unfortunately, my aunt and her friends were longtime smokers and all of the paintings were filthy with smoke and tar. I found Mobius through a recommendation from one of the local museums and he has brilliantly restored and conserved a half dozen of the canvases. He takes his time and does a fantastic job. We’ve moved from the area but when we return we will continue to engage him. He also does outstanding framing work.

Chris Kenney is one of those rare breeds: Honest, passionate about his profession/​craft, humble, and expertly skilled at what he does.. . painstaking work on a medium he clearly loves. His knowledge of restoration, and art, is deep, enviable. Entrusting one’s precious family paintings to another’s care is a huge decision. With complete trust, I’d drive miles out of my way to leave him a restoration project. And do.

Chris Kenney, owner of Mobius Art Conservation, restored our two family heirloom paintings. We are extremely pleased with how beautiful the paintings turned out, with restored colors that we didn’t know existed. We would highly recommend his professional restoration work to anyone.
