Fantastic selection of teas and coffee to choose from. Funny Though, I had a gentleman next to me roll a joint. Haha

Homeless Central. I have a lot of sympathy for the baristas who are kind and efficient. They must have the cops on speed dial because you never know when the deranged ranting will begin. Good coffee… sad ambiance.

This was the first time I’ve ever been to a Peet’s, and I was expecting it to be a lot like Philz. I was wrong. I don’t want to sound arrogant, or ignorant for that matter, but it seemed that these baristas are not even up to par with the«baristas» at Starbucks. These employees were very low energy and the menu seems very limited. The one really awesome thing I noticed was their selection of seasonal drinks. I tried the pumpkin latte the first time, and I went again today to a Peet’s in San Jose and got the Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte. Same service, but at least the drinks were decent.

Of all the Peet’s I’ve visited in the Silicon Valley & Santa Cruz County, this is by far my favorite. No matter the downtown rush, parade or weird occurrence in/outside, the employees keep their cool and look out for the patrons’ superb drinking experience.

BOOOOOOOO. I am somewhat appalled that there is even a Pete’s or a Starbucks on Pacific since there are so many other, better, local, coffee shops on the street(The Verve, Lulu Carpenter’s, and a couple blocks away but totally worth the walk: Pergolesi). One of the greatest things about cities like Santa Cruz is that independent shops have a chance to be successful, and the chain businesses are hampering that opportunity. Every dollar is a vote for something you want to see more of, and I want to see more small businesses, not more corporation giants.

Peet’s coffee is always my second choice after Starbucks ;). I know that everyone has different opinions and tastes. Peet has stronger coffee I think, I ordered café latte and seemed like it’s tasted always bitter at Peet compare to Starbucks. And I don’t like the taste after adding on sugar, ew. I decided to try different thing lately at Peet, it’s «Vanilla Latte» and was happy that’s a perfect coffee for me . I just realized that you just need to find your favorite drink at different store. Don’t expect to get the same taste even though they are called same name ;) They don’t have wifi here :(, if you want to use the restroom you have to ask for the code. Hey, no worries I remember . It’s 1420* .,.;)

I ordered a decaf latte here today and the barista gave me caffeinated! It made me sick for hours. Maybe they should be more careful. Thanks for ruining my day Pete’s…

I LOVE this Peet’s location and am a loyal Peetnik. The employees are so nice and greet me by name. The drinks are amazing. My favorites are the caramel latte and the dirty mocha chai latte. I highly recommend this place.

Friendly atmosphere I love Peet’s Coffee. Every time I visit Peet’s I am welcomed with a hello and how are you today. The coffee is always good and their pastries are too.

Fine loose tea selection and place to purchase beans. Great service and helpful with coffee grind preference. Downside is It’s become yet another homeless haven.

Coffee selection superb and their teas even more extraordinary– e.g. «Fancy Jasmine» green tea with flower buds that linger for a long time. Also nice is complimentary coffee or tea with purchases. Nice folks. Only drawback is the limited number of tables.

I’ve been to this location several times in the last few months and I have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly, the service is quick and my coffee has always been great. There are a lot of places to get coffee in downtown Santa Cruz and this one is always dependable for a great cup a joe!

Pros: The place is nice, and the customer service was good. Con: Terrible, drippy, to go cups. The lid, though secure, does not seal properly resulting in coffee dripping all over the place. I ended up wearing more coffee than I consumed.

I’ve never felt this Peet’s to provide such an unsatisfactory effort as to garner complimentary coffee cards, but I’ve received a total of three thus far! Despite this fact, they’ve always provided excellent and friendly customer service. Also, I was present when they recently handled an aggressive customer like the polite and class act that they are. Despite the customer’s bad attitude, I hardly noticed the disturbance because they addressed the situation like professionals. Thank you for your great service!

I really enjoy this Peets because i’m a big fan of the loose leaf teas here. I really like the ambiance here and it has been a great study spot for me. My only complaint would be that it isn’t always as clean as I would like, but that is probably because they are quite busy.

Excellent café de la région. Moins amer de Verve, plus raffiné que Strabucks, Peet’s est un excellent café pour les amateurs comme les inconditionnels. Internet gratuit sur demande d’un ticket à la caisse pour une heure.

The espresso shot was way better than Starbucks, but not as good as B2 Coffee at San Pedro Square Market in San Jose. The barista was fast.

Service was quick, friendly and fast as I was dying for some sugar. Hypoglycemia is the root of all sugar addictions I tells you. The sugar cookies themselves were a little over sugary but the banana nut bread was fab. Yum.

Why can no one in the U.S. make me an iced chocolate? I miss iced chocolates in Australia… Oh well, they tried with their freddo… but it basically was devoid of taste. There’s really nothing at Peet’s for me… except maybe hot chocolate in the winter. Sad.
