I walked in with a vague idea of what I wanted to do to my hair. I knew I needed to trim off some dead ends, and wanted to experiment with some color, but wasn’t exactly sure what would work with my hair. I was paired up with Aubrie who was extremely excited and enthusiastic about coloring my hair, and we spent consultation time going over photos of what I might want to do. After getting an idea down, we decided to ombré my hair from black to a lovely shade of rose gold. I spent a few hours with her as we bleached my hair twice and then went in to add color, but they do offer free tea and water to ensure you stay hydrated throughout the process. I left with bright pink hair, which made me skeptical about the entire process since we were aiming for a tame rose gold, but Aubrie ensured me that this would make the color last longer, and after about roughly 3 weeks with moderate hair washing she was right and my hair is now a lovely mauvey rose gold. My only issue would be that there are some harsh lines on my ombré where it goes directly from rose gold to black along with some patchy pieces of blonde, and I wish that I had said something before so it could be corrected.

Jen is fantastic! I have had bad experiences elsewhere and Jen was very professional and informative. She explained how she would dye my hair to get a uniform color, which others were not able to do. I will definitely be coming back to her!

I saw Jen Blondeau for years when she worked up in Hayes Valley in SF and just recently she has brought her talent right here to my little town! She has years of knowledge and experience, does clean, fast, exceptional work. She is excellent at providing sheen rich color stylish modern color, highlights. In addition to being great at bleach and color she gives great haircuts that are easy to style on my own and always grow out beautifully. People ask me regularly who does my hair which is a compliment to her as a stylist. She also is really good at providing fun hair color too. Last I had in that regard was coral with hidden platinum highlights on a bob cut. It turned out awesome. Last I saw her she darkened my hair and added hombre color and cut nice thick chunky bangs. The color fade is perfect and the blond tones are varied and beautiful. Hair always feels healthy after she works with it too. Thrilled she is so close now! Capitola is LUCKY to have her.

After searching for the perfect stylist, I came across some amazing reviews for Jen and decided to give her a call. Everything she said was on point for what I was looking for. I went in yesterday and she fixed my at home hair «job» and made my hair beautiful again. I’m so glad I found her and pleasure point hair salon, it’s a cute, comfortable, space with a beachy feel. Jen is a hair genius!

«Niki is awesome! I went into a little boutique salon in capitola the night before and got one of the worst haircuts of my adult life. Through a friend I ran into Niki who assured me she could fix the mistake. The next day I went to see her while on lunch. She not only took care of me but I walked out with one of the better hair cuts I’ve had. An hour later I had one of my friends in there gating his haircut. Well done! Great job Niki! Btw, if you are a guy, as I am, and you walk into a salon and ask for a cut and she says „so you want a men’s cut, right?“ Your better served to go see Niki!»

Jenn Blondeau recently cut & colored my hair. I moved here from SF last year and have been going to my stylist there for 15 yrs so I was nervous about a change. It was seriously one if the best cuts I’ve had… or at least equal to my old stylist (I have to give her props cause I love & miss Leda Olinger so)…BUT I can’t keep traveling 2 hrs for her regularly. She was genuinely inspired by all the color options she could do for me and the end result not only made my gray disappear but gave my hair a natural, sultry sheen. I’m so relieved to find her!

Jen is just the best! Jen has been my stylist for a few years now– I started seeing her in San Francisco (after I botched my at-​home hair color), and I’ve since followed her to Capitola. Yes, i drive this far just to get my hair done.
Jen has always been so fun to work. She’s very open to working with me on trying new styles while still sticking to my dos (bangs, keeping length) and don’ts (crazy colors, drastic cuts). My favorite so far has been the gorgeous, long, ombré mermaid style. She also uses a hair color on me that’s more gentle on my sensitive skin.
The salon is cute, comfortable and bright and all the women here have been so welcoming. It’s really easy to find and has ample parking (additional parking in the back).

I have been growing out my hair for my wedding and now that we’re done with that I needed a change. I walked in and got an appt with Jennifer. Ah-​mazing!!! She lightened my hair with an all over heavy highlight and then bayalage-​d the ends for an ombré effect. She didn’t stop there. We added a rose gold toner to finish off the fantastic color. It is the best dye job that I have ever had, a mix of sophisticated, peachy tones and the pink added whimsy. As far as a cut, I wasn’t ready to cut it all off so she gave me a healthy trim and brought back my grown out bangs and wasn’t nervous to tell me they needed to be a little heavier. Best Fringe I also have ever had. Her sweet disposition and professional attitude is not something you see very often in Santa Cruz. I will be going back.
If you can’t tell, I highly recommend Jen. The actual Salon is on fleek as well. Such a cute little place that you feel very comfortable in and the girls are the sweetest. Nicole gave me a fresh– squeezed orange Juice mimosa and the whole place is clean and put together very well.

Nikki rocks! The best color/​highlights I have had in years… and the layers she added were perfect!

Just got my hair cut today from Audrie! She was awesome and knows what she’s doing. I have long, curly hair and I’m also a swimmer. She took my dead ends off the length, layers, and bangs in about 45 min. with styling and shampoo! Great people and great price. Only $ 35 for it all. :)

I’m so glad I stopped at this new salon and spa in Pleasure Point.
There is a private off street parking lot out front.
The prices were very competitive and because they just opened I only paid $ 35 for a haircut and style, I couldn’t believe it.
It’s an amazing space… light, bright, clean and wonderfully decorated.
They also have neat, comfy facial/​waxing rooms and offer all kinds of services.
I was lucky enough to get Kay Cross, one of the owners for a major haircut.
She was amazing, listened to everything I had to say and took her time and with my thin naturally curly hair.
She didn’t try to sell me products that I didn’t need or want, it was so refreshing!
I will be back often to maintain my new look.

Best haircut I’ve gotten in 71 years. I trust Kay to do a great job every time ! Cute personal salon with 2 chairs. Kay opened up her own place and has been cutting my wife’s hair for years at Great Clips !

Lovely salon and Kay is a talented stylist!
Not very many people I trust to cut my hair, as fine hair is very unforgiving and really shows a bad cut.
