What a terrific surprise! I met some friends here so the guys could watch the Cup playoffs and the women could enjoy a quiet meal. We had the jindori chicken with two sides grilled asparagus and sautéed mushrooms. Delicious! My sweetheart aye in the bar and had the rib eye and said it was good but a bit over cooked. He was hungry and didn’t want to send it back. There were large TVs, comfortable seats and a nice ambience. What impressed us the most was the caliber of service we received in the Stonehouse dining room for on our server, Louis(or Lewis?) the man was a class act — the quality of table service you would expect at the Ritz or a Michelin-rated establishment. I would definitely go back here for a drink, a meal, to meet friends, watch sports, etc. it’s got a great vibe, easy to park, excellent food and exceptional service. I never think of going to a hotel for a meal unless I’m traveling and happen to be staying at the hotel– but this place got me to think outside that limiting box.

One of the best secrets in Scotts Valley. The food and drinks are excellent and creative. The bar tenders become your friend. I have been patronizing this place for many many years and it keeps getting better and better. I love it here!

I can’t really say that I am giving this a fair review, but because I was there, I need to review it. They were under a lot of construction and things were very out of sorts as far as where they were set up, how the bar was in a hotel room and the whole thing was just«weird.» However, that being said, the drinks(Mai Tai) was not my gig and the Old Fashioned, was very good. The bartenders were definitely trying to make the most of the situation and were engaging with the customers as much as possible. It looked like they had some very good items on the menu, but we were on our way out for the veining and had only stopped by for a quickly drink. I definitely would love to come back, when they are not under construction and give them another try. I have a feeling, it would be worth it.

Well first of all I have to preface this with the fact that we got here when the hotel was getting renovated and everything was out of control. Gym out of order, restaurant relocated, smoke all over and so on. But back to the restaurant that had the very limited«renovation menu», the server was super cool and did his very best. We did order a pretty complex order and we actually ended up getting the whole meal for free minus tips. The food was amazing too. I got chicken wings that was drums with shaved legs so your fingers doesn’t get sticky. Pretty neat, then I had the burger with avocado bacon and cheese and delicious fries. Yum yum! Minus one star for«renovation menu», no NY Steak that I Was planning on ordering. I’ll be back.

Locals beware! So I recently moved just a few blocks from the Hilton in Scotts Valley. Tonight I invited my brother to walk(on a very warm Indian Summer night) to the Hilton to have a casual dinner at the bar. It seems that the restaurant has changed ownership recently, and so the menu was quite different(way shorter) than the menu posted on Unilocal. That being said, the calamari on the bar menu was quite delicious though a little salty. They had a good selection of draft beer including the Santa Cruz Ale Works Kolsch which is one of my favorites… I had a Caesar salad with chicken that was OK(nothing to write home about). But then the bill came. Each of the(2) Stoli dirty martinis that I ordered were… wait for it…$ 16.75 a piece! WTF. I’m sorry, but I have traveled the world and never paid so much for such a basic drink order. And this in my own backyard?! Scotts Valley Hilton wake up. This is not OK! Erin, our very capable and responsive bar tender/server was apologetic when I questioned the ridiculous price of these martinis. I think she said«sorry» about 5 times. It’s embarrassing Hilton. Even your own people know it. My brother(who was with me) happens to be a bartender at a well known establishment in Santa Cruz. The same drink at his bar would’ve been $ 9. I’m sad because I thought this could have been my local dining hideaway… but mostly I’m angry. Again all I can say is… WTF?!

Really seems to have gone downhill. We were in on Tuesday night and paid a small fortune for less than mediocre food. Portions have reduced, taste and overall quality was very poor.

The bartender, Erin, was attentive, discerning, and proactive when it came to a small issue with my order. She listened, was empathetic then took action to make sure I was satisfied. How she’s not the manager I have no idea…

I would like to start this review off that I am a Hilton diamond member and stay at Hilton hotels every single week for my job. I came to this hotel with my wife for a special getaway and when I checked in I had asked if there would be an upgrade to a suite. As a diamon member I occasionally get nice perks like free suite upgrades. The nice lady at the front desk said she was unable to do an upgrade at this time. We received our keys with this unfortunate news and headed to our room. After settling in for a few minutes we decided to try out the in house restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised as the quality of the food. Wife had fish and chips, which was excellent and had great flavor. I enjoyed the prime rib dip. We shared a fried calamari appetizer as well which was appropriately seasoned. During our dinner we chatted with the the waitress and told her about our occasion and how we didn’t get an upgrade despite the hotel being less than 50% booked. She advised me to ask the front desk again. I made my way to the front desk and asked politely, explaining again our reason for the visit was a anniversary and pre baby getaway. The manager was at the front this time and quickly made our stay even more fabulous than I had hoped. We were quickly upgraded to a full suite and had complimentary sparkling cider delivered to our room for my pregnant wife and into enjoy. We were greatly appreciative of these gestures and rushed to our new accommodations. We we got to the new room we were greeted by a nice entry to dilapidated furniture, as you can see in the pictures. The couch is circa 1990 and the rest of the fixtures accompany the time period. I’m not complaining, but it’s sad to see simple touches like this in a suite to be allowed to be outdated. My wife and I also enjoyed some desserts which we critiqued to each other. The bread pudding was very thick and had great flavor which was accompanied by a caramel which was a broken more butter caramel sauce and fresh berries. We also enjoyed a chocolate cake that was served with a huge side of disappointment in Hershey’s chocolate syrup. We hate when such low quality ingredients are used in ways as garnishes like this. I also enjoyed a Rye Spiced Cider which I asked to have some whip cream on top. They use fake canned whip cream. It is very easy and cost effective to use home made whip cream and or get a compressed can to make your own. Simple touches go a long way. We are only in our first night here and I will Possibly update this review as our stay progressed. So far we are very pleased with the staff and the accommodations.

Went down this morning to get our meal and the waitress seemed out of breath. She said she got relief. I guess they were short handed this morning. My Hhonors free meal ticket said I could get one item off the menu or the breakfast buffet. I wanted an egg white omelette so I looked at the menu and it said the omelettes comes with my choice of three items and it would be 75 cents more per item I want. Cheese was included on the list. So I had two choices because cheese was one of them. They also said there was no substitution for bread so I had to get the toast which I had to my daughter. We waited for 25 minutes to get our order and when it came it was wrong. My wife and daughter both ordered the burrito and they got sandwiches. Instead of noticing it and taking care of it, he said it would take longer if we wanted to switch. Really trying to push us to take it. My daughter did but my wife wanted the burrito. We only had to wait another 5 minutes. I know I have high expectations for Hilton. I’m in a Hilton family hotel weekly and one that holds the Hilton name I would expect perform at a higher level. They need to take lessons from Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek or Hilton Garden Inn in Elk Grove. Both have outstanding restaurants.

Food was good for the price. Service took a little longer for food/drinks, but over all this was a nice place to eat while staying at the hotel.

I was impressed with Storehouse Bar & Grill for being a hotel restaurant. The best part about the restaurant, especially for a guest staying at the Hilton, is the convenience. Another plus for my stay at the hotel specifically, was that my family is at the gold level HHonors rewards so we got two complimentary breakfast vouchers. The first negative was the fact that there were three of us but they would only give us a maximum of two vouchers. The other thing was you might as well give us the full breakfast free, but instead it’s only the partial breakfast which does not include the eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. which costs extra. The vouchers were given to us when we checked in. The next morning when we went down for breakfast, my experience made up for the two negatives I had the day before. First off, the breakfast was laid out beautifully, it wasn’t crowded it at all(probably because unless you’re a gold or diamond HHonors member, you have to pay), and the selection was good even with out the full selection of the extra hot food breakfast. The other thing that made my experience good was a staff member there who’s name I’m pretty sure was James. I told him how we had two complimentary breakfast vouchers but there were three of us and he was so nice that he gave us a third voucher for free that another guest had given to him because the guest didn’t use it. That was very nice of him and in general he seemed to be very familiar with the local are when I was talking to him. Regarding the food, it was all very fresh and good. The two best things I had were the miniature croissants(I had multiple) and the scones. Overall a good experience and a nice addition to my stay.

Good food and good service. A little pricey, especially if you go for the breakfast buffet. $ 10 for the simple buffet of cereals, fruit, and yogurt. If you want eggs, meat, and potatoes the full buffet is $ 17.

We had Easter brunch here and enjoyed it. The restaurant is one of just several in the Santa Cruz-area that served a buffet, so we made a reservation for 1 pm and walked into a dining room that was maybe two-thirds full. That changed a while later, as a 1:30-to-2 pm crowd poured in. The price of $ 37 a head was competitive for the occasion, although it was an extra $ 10 for a «bottomless mimosa.» We had lamb and ham from a carving station, asparagus, Caesar and spinach salads, scrambled eggs with salmon, potatoes, pasta, tri-tip, french toast, sausage, bacon and delicious Black Forest Cake for dessert. Two complaints — the service was friendly but flat. We asked several times too many for ice water and mimosa refills. Considering there was little to do except pour drinks and clear plates, this was puzzling. Also, the restaurant’s location adjacent to a stone floor-corridor at the front of the Hilton meant that every time a utility cart rolled by, it emitted a loud and low rumble that probably shouldn’t be part of the dining experience.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quality restaurant to get fancy and throw down at for Valentine’s Day and, having never had a fancy V-Day before, I of course waited far too long to make reservations. In desperation I went onto Unilocal and found this gem cradled in the mountains that looked good but having very few reviews I knew that going there would be a risk. I called ahead and made a reservation and ensured that we got there earlier(again not knowing what to expect). What we found was a quiet corner of what could easily be called part of the lobby that had been made into a quaint but still nice«restaurant». We saw instantly that there was no need for a reservation but regardless they understood upon us walking up that we were the ones with the reservations for two and were brought instantly to a table set for two in the back in front of the fireplace with a rose on the table. It was all very romantic. After being seated by the host, a very kind woman who I can only imagine is the manager came forward, introduced herself, and instantly jumped into the specials of the night. She was extremely charming and as our experience progressed definitely played a large role in making our night special. Our server, Max, was extremely charming. A nice young man, he served us expediently and ensured that we wanted for nothing. Compared to the other servers who did help occasionally, he was by and far our favorite.(May have been because he was getting the tip).

There were 2 buffet choices for breakfast — continental or full — and they provide plenty of choices of pastries, fruits and hot entrees. Dinner options was plenty to choose from as well(from salads to steak), and don’t forget to save room for dessert! Very convenient if you’re staying in the hotel since it’s in the hotel lobby.

Fantastic breakfast buffet!!! You can choose the big buffet that includes hot items such as eggs and pancakes or the continental breakfast that includes bagels, fruit, Danish, cereal, etc. you can also order a la carte and I did that to get my breakfast burrito. Lots of choices! Friendly waitstaff!

I’ve been here for light meals several times, and while it’s a fun space, the food is awful. There’s no such thing as a fresh vegetable on the menu, and the food that is offered is overcooked and bland. I would definitely not recommend it.

Great new menu in the SV Hilton. Good small plates. The BBQ Pork sliders are yummy and they do a great French dip w/provolone cheese.

Stayed for the night at Hilton hotel, and didn’t want to drive out to get food that night so decided to give this place a shot. Price was reasonable given it is in a hotel. The serving size is huge! I had the rib eye steak. It was awesome. Long story short, medium rare IS medium rare. The sides were delicious. Service was good. Worth the price.
