Where to begin… a few years ago my Mom fell and her ankle basically exploded. It was such a severe injury, it made 2 firemen turn ashen. She was 67 years old, overweight, health problems including osteoporisis. The good doctor, after surgery, told me that it would be a devastating injury for a healthy 21 year old, and while he did his best, would not be surprised for my mom to be an amputee. Well, although it took a long time, the surgery held and she walked again. I couldn’t be more thankful.
