My husband and I just bought a house so we were looking to get a new sectional to go in our new living room. Since we just dropped most of our cash on the house, finding something affordable was important. Build A Sofa was great because #1 price and #2 selection. We chose a fabric that is durable and easily cleaned with water. We customized the dimensions so it fits exactly in our living. And my husband chose extra firm foam for the cushions. We’ve had it for ~6 months now and we’re really happy with it. I think this piece will last for a long time, plus we’re not broke after all was said and done :)
PS: I also found the associate who helped us to be very friendly. Knowledgable but not pushy, which is hard to find!

I did tons of research & finally made the decision to purchase from Build A Sofa in Santa Fe Springs. They have an extensive selection on display, have tons of fabrics to choose from & are very helpful. Super happy to get my sofa/​chaise in less then 4 weeks whereas most other places would be 6 – 8 weeks! Prices are really reasonable as well. Overall experience was great! So happy with our new furniture! I’ve been looking for new sofas for at least 9 months now, but couldn’t find anything to fit our slightly weird living room set up, anything I found that I really liked was over the top expensive, & stuff that wasn’t looked cheap… coffee tables & tv stands just sit there, but sofas & chairs, you actually use them… so I wanted something that was better quality than I was seeing at most stores.
So enter Build A Sofa, (not to be confused with the teddy bear place :) It’s an actual factory, so you can see how everything is built, & you get to pick out everything, & I mean everything! You’d think it would be overwhelming, but it’s not, they took me step by step in choosing the new furniture, you get to pick the style, the fabric, how firm or soft you want the cushions, even how many cushions you want, I ended up choosing a sofa, a chaise lounge, a chair & an ottoman. Then I sat back & waited for them to tell me to come back in 4 months, but no, they said everything would be ready in 4 to 6 weeks, & they weren’t kidding! 4 weeks after I ordered everything I got a call to set up a delivery day & time.
So, now I’ve had my new stuff for a couple months, & I love it! It’s clean, & modern looking, & it’s actually built to last, my husband loves his new chair & ottoman, & we joke that we bought «locally sourced» furniture, but it’s actually true, anyhow, I highly recommend them, great furniture, great price.
BTW, our cats give the new sofa two paws up :)
