If I wanted to recreate that burrito at home I would take a lukewarm grocery store tortilla, pour on a can of beans, & as an afterthought place on a bit of avocado. The vegetable taco had a fine wrap, but an overabundance of white rice and absence of flavor. The chips were dry and that(made daily!) salsa nothing to brag about. I can only assume the people impressed with this place have never bumped into a Chipotle. As I write this my wallet is slimmer and compost pile fatter. Never. Again.

Bumble Bee’s is pretty hit or miss. They have some awesome things on their menu that are definitely worth the high-prices, but then there are not. Tito burrito — worth the money. Bacon wrapped hot dog — SONOT worth the money. Their secret sauce(vegan!) is incredible and I love you can buy large quantities if need be. Their nachos are okay(but Second Street Brewery does it better and larger portion for the same price.) Mostly, I feel kinda«eh» about Bumble Bee’s. I know they try to justify the price because of their fresh ingredients, but I only really go once in a while for the Tito burrito and the fact they have a drive thru.

*** REVIEWISSTRICTLYONSERVICE*** Wish we could have tried this place; however… when we walked in at 8:05pm last night(on a Friday night)…when their closing time is advertised for 8:30pm, they would not serve us and told us they were closed!!! We are not from Santa Fe and wanted something good and fast… and it wasn’t this place!!! Not that this is their problem… but we walked there from our hotel, with a toddler, in 20* weather because it was so close and convenient. The pizza place across the street was AMAZING! Rest assured, when we return to Santa Fe… we will definitely not be coming back here!!!

On a very cold, blustery day in Santa Fe, we ended up here for lunch, wooed by the vegan tortilla soup on the menu. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication in our order, and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, topped with cheese and sour cream, was brought out to us. I relayed my confusion to Jorge, and he took care of it right away, even providing us free chips and guacamole while I waited for my soup. The guacamole was so good as was the spicy salsa. I was less than impressed with the chips. But, the vegan tortilla soup was absolutely worth waiting for! Topped with even more guacamole and filled with black beans, corn, rice, and a rich broth, it was perfect fare on a snow day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any Santa Fe visitor, vegan or not.

It was very good food for the price. It was quick service and the staff was nice. It was also one of the cheapest places to eat in Santa Fe for a good price. I like Mexican food but I’m very picky when it comes to what is on it but they have a «Build Your Own Burrito» option which is awesome because then you are able to make your perfect meal. They cater to a lot of dietary restrictions like gluten-free or paleo diet, etc. I had a good filling meal!

The whole chicken and salads are the only reason to visit bumble bees. The $ 10.50 green chile chicken burrito came with no beans or rice as a side. There was more sour cream and chives than chicken and chiles. The green chile stew was mostly potatoes and water. Close to $ 40 was spent with no drinks or sides served. The reason I’m giving them 3 stars is because I’ve had the rotisserie chicken and ranchero salad for a work gathering and they were pretty tasty. Still very expensive for what you get. Customer service was also lacking severely.

This is a five star place in relation to this class of restaurants. They easily accommodate our gluten free needs. Authentic New Mexican burritos are the best I’ve had. They have quick service and it appears that they make everything in house. I will seek this place out again when I’m in town.

Absolutely HAD to take my Mom to this place while she was visiting so she could compare«New Mex-Mex» with Baja Mex flavor and prep differences. I have always loved their fish tacos, and Mom got the sirloin tacos. The black beans and jasmine rice with cilantro taste so clean and fresh and the tortillas are pretty high on the scale too. I did notice prices have substantially increased. I think it was close to $ 30 for my mom and I to have a 2 taco lunch with beans and rice… we both drank water.

Carry out lunch on a rainy Santa Fe day in Oct. Chicken Tortilla soup was awesome, very tasty. But looked like the menu had lots of good stuff. I will go again.

This was actually one of my favorite meals of a 2 week trip to New Mexico. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Plenty of creative choices for vegetarians to choose from and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Other reviewers have complained that the prices are too high but you can add rice and/or beans for a dollar each which paired with two tacos makes for a very filling and reasonably priced meal. LOVED it!

Great food, tito burrito with shrimp, green chili stew, seafood stew, salads, chocolate mousse(??? holy cow this is delicious), kids’ meals. great everything but it’s pricey for a ‘fast food restaurant’. Nevertheless, we kept going back for more. Yum!

The green chili stew with pork was SUBLIME! The kind of dish someone’s New Mexican grandmother makes… THEBEST W I would have given this restaurant a 5 star but, WHY do they charge extra for chips and salsa?

My extended family of nine had a great lunch here. My Salmon Tostada tasted very fresh and had lots of flavor. There is definitely a fun vibe here.

1. The food is very phenomenal! 2.The décor is great. 3.Restrooms are super cleans.4.You can see the kitchen and see the cleanliness. 5. Staff is excellent!!! All of them too. Cooks, cashier, servers! They’re excellent with children. Although I give this review five stars I do have some dislikes… 1. Wish I saw full dinners on the menu. i.e. Burritos with sides or taco plates etc. 2. Single tacos a pretty expensive.(I do see that their tacos are very well prepared with great ingredients. But I still feel that paying an average of $ 4.38 for a single taco is quite large. Or average of $ 9.40 for a burrito with no side. 3. I get the whole order-sit routine, but I’d be more than happy to leave a larger tip for better table side service… 4. The menu is quite large and over whelming. Not necessarily bad though. We all love variety. Over all the experience was great! You will see me again!

Santa Fe often over complicates and over charges for their food, but I think Bumblebees is where you can avoid the sting of tourist traps. I can’t believe anyone would comment on the prices when you consider the location, the quality, the choices or the portions; most meals can easily feed 2 hungry adults. The food is fresh, the chili rich and a solid selection of menu items that fit almost any diet or taste. It’s an easy place to be with a colorful décor and friendly, helpful counter ordering. Plus they have plenty of parking near downtown. Wow! There is outside eating and considerate dog owners and their canine friends are often found enjoying the patio. The drink selections are pretty extensive for a «drive thru» joint, so grab a sangria, Mexican Coke, Aqua Fresca or beer and check it out.

Excellent food, love the vegan options. The vegan stew was fantastic. The green chile tortilla boca burger(no cheese for me) was very tasty. The kid ate all his tofu taco, which is high praise. Chips and salsa were great too, especially the salsa. The omnivores in our party also liked the food very much. I think the only ‘weak’ part were the fries which were just okay. Service is good, no waitstaff but they bus your dishes. Plenty of boosters, though the high chairs were in one of the bathrooms(if that bothers you). They were clean, and had changing tables.

Once I was over $ 4/taco and $ 10 for the tortilla burger, the food was good! Double corn tortilla chicken tacos with perfect seasoning with cilantro. My daughter said the sauce really brought out the flavor. We shared sweet potato fries that were all that! The ordering was at the counter and food brought to you. They are green with cloth napkins and plastic«glasses.» They have vegan, caveman, paleo, and GF. Nice place to talk and laugh. Can sit outside too. They do drive through too. If you can spare the bucks, it’s worth it. Please note: there are two sides to the menu.

Bam Pow Bang! It’s an explosion of deliciousness in my mouth! Very tasty items on the menu, and a BIG menu that you can do whatever with. You want what in your burrito? No problem replies Bumble Bees. I went BIG this time and ordered the Bumble Bee Burrito SMOTHERED! Get it, you won’t regret it… you probably won’t finish it tho. It is pricey, 10 bones for the burrito but it is PACKED. Someone that we went with(he will remain unnamed) ordered an ice cream cone… only $ 1 hmm… The roasted tomato salsa was delish! We had a pretty big party and right when they opened up(I believe 11am so no breakfast) and they got the kitchen started and pushed out dishes pretty quickly. Happy with the service, the horchata was ok but I am an horchata snob. ha
