Incompetent at ordering, no logic for delayed orders, simply re-orders. Long lines, indifferent staff.

The pharmacy at this CVS seems to take delight at keeping people lined up to pick up prescriptions. They have two cash registers, but rarely use more than one. Very poorly managed pharmacy.

Choose ANY other pharmacy but this one. It took 7 hours yesterday to fill a simple order. I wasn’t upset because things do happen sometimes but after the first 6 hours, I got to the chaotic window, they said it wasn’t ready, so I asked why. That’s when the older redheaded woman started loudly snapping at me that they were short people and she was in on her day off, as if it was my fault. I’m a sick customer just trying to get my meds. After two more attempts to get them, 7 hours had passed & that woman was still being hateful to everyone. No wonder all their staff is quitting. Geesh. Up to you but I will not return, ever!

If you want your prescriptions to be lost go here as they are exceptional at doing that. My wife dropped a script off on Friday and they said they would call if they had any issues filling it. Having not heard from them she went to pick it up Sunday and it wasn’t ready. Not only that they lost the prescription. My wife dealt with the manager Christine who said she would look into it and call her back that same day for sure. Of course Christine never called back so my wife called called just before there closing time and waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be told by the manager they couldn’t find the script. Her explanation was oh sorry we’ve had some people quit and we have no idea what happened to it. Although when my wife was there she pointed out who took her script on Friday. What a waste of our valuable time…

Since I am new to Santa Fe, I had only read about the historic tragedy called «The Trail of Tears», but I had no idea there was a modern version in the DeVargas Mall CVS. I’ve had to wait in a line of more than 10 people for the past several days only to be told my medicine was not ready… despite being phoned and told it was ready for pick up. The other customers have told me horror stories of incompetance.(being called that their medications were ready, only to be told they are not, etc) There are normally several tired looking older women waiting who are either in tears or on the verge of tears or collapse. The culture here doesn’t permit folks to complain, but as an RN myself, someone has to do it. These people are often older and sick and deserve better treatment. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Yesterday, I phoned the pharmacy FROMTHELINE while I was at the store, and demanded another cashier be added. It happened… at least for a time, and the line sped up! The people around me cheered. The pharmacy has no real management. The general store, though is quite clean and well run. If any lines get long at the general checkout, someone is called right away, The employees strive hard to find items and be helpful. The pharmacy is consistently poorly run and quite oblivious to human suffering. No matter how long the line or how fragile the condition of the people waiting, the staff refuses to look up and modify what they are doing. The pharmacist told me there is NO bathroom in the store for these people. He said they are required to go across to the movie theatre to relieve themselves!

The gigantamous liquor department was heretofore unseen in a CVS anywhere, anytime. And some of the prices were cheap, cheap, cheap. I got a deck of cards for $ 1.50. All that’s worth writing about.

Even though this place is pretty close to my house, I will drive out of my way to go to any pharmacy but this one. It smells like old people’s diapers in here. Needs a thorough scrubbing, and maybe just a gut job. Who wants to buy nail polish, much less have a scrip filled in this atmosphere?

As far as CVS’s go(yes this a CVS) this one is in bad shape. It needs remodeling and a good cleaning as well. Don’t ask to use the copy machine, it’s out of order and under a pile of trash– right by the pharmacy! Someone needs to do some housekeeping!
