Really love this quaint microbrew! A great deal of their beers are Belgian style, which is really my favorite. Many of them are also very high alcohol content, which is a bonus! The menu is impressive, and the Ruben was exceptional. We also got a cheeseboard, which was very good. My friends each got the Davinci sandwich, which every one of them loved. Derek, our server, was exceptionally knowledgeable on all things Duel, and explained to us that their philosophy in beer making is centered on artistry. For this reason they give discounts to many arts groups in the area, including us, who were all singers at Santa Fe Opera. Gotta love that! Derek was actually in an opera a few years back as an extra. I’ve been twice, each time bringing different people, which I will continue to do. Always happy to spread the word about a quality establishment. Everyone I have brought there has loved it, and has asked when we’re going back. Soon!

We’re wrapping up our vacation in CO /NM and decided to stop at Duel Brewing for lunch before heading to the airport. According to my whole family — this was the best meal of our whole, week long trip. We started off with a cheese platter that consisted of various cheeses, Turkish apricots, artichokes and baguettes! My dad & I had The DaVinci(sandwich with various meats + cheeses) & my mom had The Reuben. They came with kettle chips that are seasoned at the restaurant — OUTSTANDING. My dad + mom are beer and wine connoisseurs and they were thoroughly impressed with what they got. Dad had the Imperial Porter and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. Also — the atmosphere is very intimate, eclectic and artsy. I loved it and am sad it’s not closer to home!

This place is fantastic! Visit Meow Wolf and then head to Duel for a beer and a sandwich. European pub feel to it. Sandwiches served on board. Delicious! Perfect patio, gluten-free options. Beer is great!

Definitely has that brewery vibe, cool place to chill and taste some good unique beers. These are more craft beers than most. Good«snacky» type food and will definitely go back. Many breweries try to get crafty with their food or don’t put forth much effort into their food, but they do and it’s simple enough and it works. I don’t rate breweries on their food, since its not a restaurant. But if they have good food(2nd, beer 1st), then its a bonus. Probably one of the best breweries in the area, from what I’ve seen so far, and I’ve been to ton of breweries all over the US, thanks to traveling with my old job.

The beer is amazing. Atmosphere is pretty cool. A little pricey, but worth it. I would recommend getting their Belgian style IPAs… It has that hoppiness, but really smooth, delicious, and has that«Belgian» flavor.

Some new employee was working there this afternoon and We sW the sign saying that Duel opens at one. Which was fine, but when we asked the new employee what time it was, he replied«Not 1:00…» Our party of six decided that rude people don’t deserve our business any more.

I enjoy this place more than any other brewery I’ve been to in NM thus far. I’m into sour beers. They have a couple. The Harmonia is amazing. One of the best sours I’ve had. Good food. Cheese plates. Yes please.

Tried to check out the this place. We found a table and waited for about 20 minutes with no service. It wasn’t a big deal so I went to the counter to place an order for the table. The bartender rudely said our waiter would take our order at the table. We walked back gathered our things and went to place with much better customer service.

What a great find! I love the Belgian style of brewing and this does not disappoint. They will let you taste various ales til you find the one you love. I had mine with a delicious Ruben sandwich. There’s also several ciders and meads. Menu items are great to accompany your drinks. Friendly knowledgeable staff, good music… What more do you need? I’ll be back for sure.

Very good beer selection. Bartender was great. Friendly, talkative, knew her beers. Small bar seating area though. 14 seats. Definitely an older crowd, at least at 5pm.

I’d give this place 5 stars but I am giving it 4. The reason is one that probably places me in the minority of Duel patrons, but it has to do with atmosphere, not food and definitely not their great beer. I have to admit that this place has some horrendously bad music playing anytime you go there. It’s horrible. Freaking michael jackson and pink floyd and other really mundane stuff that kills the atmosphere. So, go here tune things out, don’t look at the wack paintings on the wall and just drink your juice and eat your sausage! CHEERS!

Checking out Duel Brewery in Santa Fe! A Belgian style brewery, we tried the Marcel: Belgian style Wit, and the Cezanne Dénouement: Fall Saison! Liked the Saison(more), and the Oktoberfest attire! Great atmosphere, happy hour 4 – 6 $ 2 off ea. Beer! Friendly staff, we’ll be back to try more! did not try the food. Atmosphere: all the walls were painted dark colors. Kind of a downer.

We tried the«Fantin» double Pale ale, «Fiction» IPA, and the«Grunewald» Imperial Porter. They were all exceptional! In addition, the ambiance was a treat — apparently not by accident. Classic rock & roll and an artistic eye have transformed a light industrial space. To the proprietors: good job!

To quote from one of the best plays in the American cannon, Stanley says to Blanche, «We’ve had this date from the beginning.» — Streetcar Named Desire This is also a terribly hideous quote, I kinda hate it. The lights go out and the audience is left wondering what happened, but it’s relatively safe to assume that Stanley rapes Blanche, who’s already more than a tad imbalanced, mentally, and the episode leads to her admittance into an asylum. So, yeah, I’m sorry. It’s a horrible way to end a play, but honestly apt for my introduction to Duel Brewing. Truth told, I’d been planning this date since the beginning. A couple of years ago I heard about a new brewery in Santa Fe that was focussing on Belgian beer, and I booked a mental first date. It had been my contention, since my visit to Brussels(some 20 years back), that America could learn a few lessons about great beer from the folks that perfected it. Now that New Mexico has achieved nationwide(if not worldwide) street cred for solid beer culture, me thinks it’s fair to point out that this country really hasn’t explored the roots of the culture itself. My friends, Belgian beer is best. I’m sorry, that hoppy thang we’re currently enamored with is good, bitterness has its merits, but for the purists, nothing beats an unfiltered glass of yeasty Belgian beasty. Duel hasn’t nailed it, yet, but they’re definitely on the right track. The varietals I tasted(Bad Amber, Fiction, Fantin and the Old World style Meow Wolf seasonal – so dynamic) were a little lacking, but overall the beer in these parts was straight up solid. Paired with the Mediterranean Mix appetizer, you can’t go wrong. The interior was terrific, reflecting western European style with a lil’ Santa Fe for balance. As other reviews mention, the vast majority of the pours in here exceed 7% ABV, many breaching 10%, so grab an Über over here. I’m adding the fifth star for ballsy ambition alone; while these guys aren’t necessarily hitting the nail on the proverbial head at the moment, the variety of Belgian-devoted drafts are reason enough to visit. I just wish we had something like this in Albuquerque.

Good beers and food. Most beers have a high alcohol content(7%+). The ones I tried were quite tasty. Food is more bar food style, not full meal. But good quality and nice looking. However I found the food to be overpriced — not all of it, but some. E.g. Bratwurst sandwich $ 9.50. Really good Bratwurst, but price point is a bit too high for that. Very good mustard with the sausage! Unusual location. Located in kind of a garage /commercial building. Not very attractive on the outside, but improves greatly on the inside. Friendly staff, however could check tables and customers for further needs more frequently — I had to call them twice. Overall satisfactory, would go again.

Great find on our trip to Santa Fe. It was so inviting, perhaps because they had live music the evening we stopped in. Heads up: all the beers are Belgian, so if that’s not your thing just be aware. I am not a huge fan of Belgian beers on the whole, but I managed to find some out of all the tasters that I actually liked… shall I dare say, less Belgian-y? While I’m at it, have a taste of the black lager they have on tap at the moment. It is AWESOME. It’s light, but still has a bit of that roasty flavor. Really great brewery not only because you’ll likely find something that tickles your fancy and it’s as comfy as your local coffee shop.

#howtosantafe #wafflemonte not the full monte very good. Husband had #grunewald excellent end of night exit with tunes of Madrid-style county in a weird GarageBand style garage with a waitress that looks like my 28 year-old sister-in-law. Add something like pinball machines and all will be well with this little industrial park brew house.

A fairly new brewery with great beers and a nice atmosphere. I went here to meet some friends to try this place out and everything was just ok. Not a lot of people during the day(Saturday) so we were tended to quickly on each had the Fiction and Non Fiction. — Fiction I thought this was going to be more of a sweet beer and it turned bitter on me. A good beer but I’m not sure how many of these I could put down. — Non Fiction A solid brew with a good taste, I prefer this one. We also had some hummus which was a nice plate to go with the brews we put down.
