To sum it up. I’ve been coming to the junction for some time… Loved it. It is no longer the junction. Now known as the box car… Wet being the ears. Kept none of the awesome from the previous restaurant. Only the onion ring were decent… The Box Car. Is not a place to get a quality meal.

It’s no longer Junction! It’s now Boxcar. It also sucks now! Junction had the best fish tacos in town. They are gone! Junction had fantastic fried pickles. Boxcar has terrible fried pickles! We came on 4th of July, for my birthday. They only had one waitress covering the patio and the tables inside. She didn’t even know what a mia tia was. Service was EXTREMELY slow and not very intelligent. We sat out on the patio. No one came out to wait on us. I had to go get someone. After we finally got our drinks and appetizers, I notice we didn’t have silverware. The appetizer plates were dirty, too. I asked a guy bussing a table for silverware for all of us. He brought one for me and that’s it. We loved Junction!!! We will never be back to Boxcar!

Horrible experience here tonight. My friends and I sat outside on the patio, it wasn’t very busy. We waited a few minutes to see a server and ordered some drinks. The server brought the drinks out and there was a long hair belonging to the server in one of the beers. She then went to get another beer for my friend. I then took a drink of my beer and it was completely flat zero carbonation. So I also had to request another beer. When our food arrived it was ok. The main problem tonight was that our server had zero personality and very poor restaurant service skills.

We visited this place our first night because right by our wonderful hotel and it was great. We wanted one last drink last night. Well, the bartender was so rude and we had only one drink and left. The bartender was using the f word with us and so rude. The lady bartender was trying to be overly nice but the guy was terrible. Never go to this location if your just visiting Santa Fe. The owner should know about this sad event!

This spot has undergone many iterations and The Junction is the latest., and the best. The Junction is a sports bar and doesn’t try to be anything else. The décor is related to any game you can think of and it is definitely not tacky. In the main seating section there are 6 large televisions, all featuring one aspect if the sporting world or another. There is a bar and table seating as well as booths. The second level has two pool tables and four televisions. The patio area has several picnic style tables and four-top tables and also has a big screen television. Food is simple from burgers and Cobb salads to fish and chips. Fried pickles and beans are a favorite appetizer. The Junction is near the Railyard and easy access for commuters. Dress is casual, as is the atmosphere. Worth a try.

This is one of the few sports bars in Santa Fe. That’s probably the only thing they’ve got going for ‘em. Other than that, the place needs much improvement — specifically the service, as many other Unilocalers mentioned in their reviews. I like to think I’m pretty tolerant of poor service, or lack-thereof. But I couldn’t help but simply walk out of this place after a few seconds of conversation with the male host. We ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings and had NO regrets — far better service and a helluvalot more TVs. Junction management, I think it’s time for a staff retraining.

Had a hard time finding a venue to watch the final game of the world cup of soccer, decided on junction. This mistake I will not make again. If you are a sports fan steer clear of this place. Let’s start by saying the host was an as**olé. Just flat out rude. His name is Calvin or something like that. Worst host ever. Watching tv’s with heavy glare is fun while paying for refills of ice tea. Avoid this place. Almost ruined the most important game in soccer, which only happens every for years. Oh and the food was so so…

We came to The Junction late on a Saturday night for a drink. This place has three different levels: a restaurant level, a bar level, and a billiards level. It was not crowded at all and it gave you plenty of space to move around. The bar area had televisions for watching sports and was a good length to accommodate a lot of patrons. The drinks were moderately priced and they had a decent draft selection. The bartender was nice and informative considering we were visiting guest from out of town. We later learned this place is where the service staff from all the restaurants and hotels visit after work because it is a bar that is open later than others. To play billiards you have to surrender your ID to the bartender to get the balls. You also have to pay to play, I think it’s $ 8.00. The pool tables are not regulation size, they are the bigger tables which I am not a fan of but it was still fun. The billiards area also has a balcony outside that overlooks the train station which is pretty cool. Overall I would have liked to see this place busier on a Saturday night, but it was still fun, allowed us an opportunity to relax and play some pool. The music was set at just the right level and the atmosphere was relaxed, not pretentious.

I have been to Junction for three days straight mainly to catch the World Cup. The food and service was quite excellent on the weekend except for the club and turkey sandwiches which are made with some pitiful, salty turkey meat. The burger was good! The sides were alright. The mashed potatoes fine, although the gravy tasted like absolutely nothing. A white gravy is not hard to make. Today, though I was in for a shocker. Sitting for a long match for two hours and never asked if I needed anything to drink or eat. COMPLETELYIGNORED! I asked for the phone number of the manager who of course was not there… as his waiter taking care of the tables around the bar was pretending to be a waiter. My oh my… very sad customer service day.

The wait staff is great, but today I had a very bad experience. I asked the manager if they would turn on US soccer on an extra TV given the large group that had come for the game. I was yelled at and berated by the manager. Who told me they had advertised for a horse race and the TV had to be available. I would have been fine with the limited TV selection, but it’s not ok to yell at customers for no reason.

As a customer of The Catamount I gave this place chance. Since it opened I have been there maybe 4 times. Tried the club. Dry served with soggy fries. Nachos. Nothing like the Catamounts. The last time I went there I went with my visiting brother, his wife and our Mom. We each had a drink and shared chips and salsa. $ 40. bucks. Not bad left a good tip. The next day a separate charge for $ 114. was charged to my card. Called right away and left a message. I should have known how the business was being run as the last managers voice was still on the answering machine. Went in while they were setting up and the server I had from the night before said«Is there a problem?». I explained what happened and she basically told me i was wrong and walked away. NEVER a call back after calling three times. My credit card company took care of the charge. I will never step foot in that place again. The food sucks. The staff sucks(Except for Calvin and Tate.). Tom the owner is one of the shittiest people you will ever find. Want a sports bar go to El Paseo.

Great tv’s, good location but I just can’t like this place. The apps & burger I had were really good, servers are on it but the crowd here kills me. Seems to be filled with blue hairs & kill joys. Bring your epsom & smelling salts.

I normally don’t review sports bars, in fact this is the first time I have ever actually been in one for the purpose of watching a game. Four of us spent over four hours of a Sunday watching the AFC championship at The Junction, since we were in Santa Fe and the TV’s in our rooms were not HD. I wanted to give some credit to this place for the experience. Beer selection is not great and they were out of several of the things we asked for, however, the Santa Fe Brewing Pale Ale was pretty good for me and Ms T found a good IPA from La Cumbre that she liked. We really did not want to eat a ton of food since we were planning dinner. Sam was our server and gave us perfect service; not too much and not too little. Four of us drank nine beers, ate an order of chips and salsa and an order of calamari. I must say that the calamari are really good. They are strips coated lightly and including some chile jalapeño in the coating. You do not want to mess these up with the sauce that comes with them. These are wonderful all by themselves. We really liked the service. They knew we just wanted to watch the game and I guess we bought enough to justify occupying the table. They did add an 18% tip and we topped it up to 30% for the treatment we received. We had a good time.

Went here on our family ski trip to Santa Fe on the night the Cowboys were playing. The food and atmosphere was great. We tried the chips salsa guac and queso and all were yummy. Only issue with the food was the fact that they were out of buns for our Cajun Chicken Sandwich. It was ok as a wrap but needed the veggies and sauce in the wrap not on the side. Our sons quesadillas were good as well. Great place to watch a game and food was just as good.

We went here because we were looking for a sport bar in Santa Fe. Plenty of TVs and decent beers on tap get this place the generic three stars, but the food wasn’t great, and the service was lackluster. It’s never a good sign when the world-weary local sitting next to you says«I had to stop coming for a while because of how fried the food is and my heart health.»

Let me preface this by yelling SPORTSBAR. I did not know that before entering so I’m telling you now. That said, its close by my ride home(the New Mexico Railrunner) and I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is what you would expect-T.V.‘s, sports, beer, chicken wings, loudness in general-but the food was good and they make Moscow Mules. This is a hard drink to come by in this town because of the ginger beer ingredient, but anywhere I can find it makes me incredibly happy. Ideally its served ice cold in a copper mug – which it was – and it was good!

Looking for a sports bar in Santa Fe, this place is it. We stopped by the night before to scout it out and found out we needed to be there by 10:45am on a Sunday for an 11 am game. They have a list of what games will be playing on which TV and the hostess seats you near your screen. FYI– it’s against state law to serve any alcohol before noon on Sundays. We drank water till noon hit. We went for their bloody mary’s which were a little inconsistent on taste. Their homemade queso and chips were really good. Then we got a cheese-steak sandwich with short rib. I thought it was really good. And the fries were crispy. Overall, friendly staff and cool place to take in games.

Tasty bfast burrito’s on Sunday. I love the hostess and the wait staff, genuinely friendly people! Gary the manager does a terrific job of looking out for each of the patrons. Just about everything has been fantastic here. Great TV’s for football, delicious food, prompt and courteous service — and damned good drinks!

OK, I’m going to chalk my less than rosy first review to Junction just opening. We went there tonight and it was much better. The drinks were poured well, the waiter was decent, although he did mess up on the billing and forgot to include one of our drinks, and I had to pay two tabs instead of one. Oh, and the Cobb Salad seriously gives the one that is $ 1 more at Vinaigrette a run for their money. And sure, the chef forgot to put the avocado that was on the Cobb Salad menu on my actual Cobb Salad, but that was easily rectified. And the manager gave me the WiFi code… And you know how happy that usually makes me. they get another star. So we’ve successfully gone from a two star review from last year to a four star review this year… Good job Junction.

I gave Junction 4 stars for their Tuesday Night Wing Night. Every Tuesday from 4:00 — 10:00 pm a dozen wings are $ 5. The classic buffalo is my favorite. Also all SFBC draft beers are $ 2.50. It’s a great deal for some great bar food. I would not recommend the items on the regular menu. They are overpriced for their quality. The truffle french fries are decent for Santa Fe but nothing like you can get in any other big city.
