We just moved so we had to clear out our liquor cabinet(well I guess we didn’t HAVE to clear it out, but when you’re paying by weight it seems silly to ship liquor around the country). So-o, I came to liquor barn with a long list of stock items. –Vodka– nice selection and normal prices –Wine– very extensive selection, and some of the ones that aren’t well-known but are good values, like a Soave from Italy that I love, Gini. Classico– their wine buyer nows what they’re doing — tons of good quality wines for $ 15 and under –Gin– unfortunately they didn’t have Quintessential or Magellan, hubby’s preferences, but they offered to order them for us– got another English one, haven’t broken into it yet Triple Sec, Vermouth, other mixers– all normal prices Beer– wow– this is like Liquor Mart, BevMo, or Dick’s– huge selection of microbrews, which is GREAT for us ’cause my husband is particular about his beer(being a brewer himself) — good prices and things you don’t normally see, like Rasputin, Le Fin du Monde, etc. Belgian selction good too– prices normal Good find, I will be back soon to check out the other Soaves they have. Edit 11÷21− went back to pick up some of that Soave and they had ordered the Quintessential gin for me! How nice is that? Definitely glad I found this place, it’s so nice to shop somewhere where my business is appreciated.

This place is a trip. The layout is sort of like the liquore wholesale places I see in California’s larger cities and I know you can get kegs and pony kegs there. A lot of the local spanish-speaking locals hit this place asfter work to get their beer, so it is definately filled with local color. The prices tend to be mid-range for the beer and liquor and they do carry some mixes that you don’t see at the smaller stores like Owl’s Liquor or the mega marts like Walgreens. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and I *believe* that on either Friday or Saturday afternoons, they even do wine tasting. Note that they close by 8:00pm, so this isn’t a late-night liquor destination… But in a town that shuts down by 9:00pm on any given day, that’s not suprising.
