Stopped in for some crawfish on Sunday afternoon, and we were met at the door and informed they were out of crawfish…2:30 in the afternoon, really???

Great open environment to hang out and have a few drinks. It is BYOB. We ordered boiled shrimp and crawfish plus sausage, potatoes, and corn. Boiled shrimp — wow! These are huge, tiger size. The shell is still on but cut and deveined. These are cooked well but a little hard to peel. Cocktail sauce served on the side. Crawfish — good mix of sizes with spicy boil. Cooked well. Each table has a big bucket for trash and a jar of spice mix. Corn and potatoes both cooked well and good at of spice. Sausage links are about 5″ to an order. Good flavor and not too greasy. We got 3 cake balls in red velvet and italian cream. These are fudg-y but not too sweet.

Checked out this place last night, had an okay experience and would go back if I wanted crawfish without having to drive very far. The good: There were plenty of people here, but there was not a problem finding a spot since there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The service was fantastic and the prices($ 5.99/lb for crawfish) were reasonably priced, especially this early into crawfish season. I also enjoyed that it was BYOB. The not so good: the first round of crawfish we got were overcooked to the point that they were a bit mushy/falling apart. The second round we got were better than the first, but still slightly overcooked. Also, I wish there was the option of having spicy crawfish as these were a bit too plain for my personal taste. Overall this place isn’t bad and I can see myself going back if I did not feel like driving a few hours to get to my favorite crawfish place, but it definitely is not the best crawfish I’ve had.

These guys cook crawfish like my family in Louisiana. It really hits the spot. I hate when it is super crowded and you can’t get a table though. One night we had to sit at the very back bar and didn’t even get to talk with my family as we ate. BYOB, they have live music some nights, closed mondays. I wish crawfish season was year round!

Check for there specials, all food is non seasoned. They do have a BYOB policy, bring your own booze. Beer and bottle. Most days 6⁄7 you can walk in and get a table. Just once had to wait about 10 minutes.

Went on a Sunday after church and they weren’t that busy. Service is quick, lots of waitresses walking around. Good atmosphere, it’s BYOB. Kids running around outside didn’t like that so much I’m trying to eat here. The crawfish were not terrible but not great either, and we’re a bit on the salty side and rubbery. If I want to take my own alcohol and eat crawfish maybe I’ll go back.

This was my first time having crawfish so I don’t have much to compare it to, but what I do know is that I enjoyed my meal here. The crawfish came by the pound($ 5.99 a pound?) and one person can definitely have 2 pounds no problem… more if you are a guy. It came out quickly and was perfectly seasoned… a little spicy so you need to have some tolerance for heat. I wish we got more of this because we also ordered a seafood gumbo… which was not great. So definitely come here just for the crawfish! It is BYOB so make sure to bring some beer!

SRY!!! Heard all the rant & rave on this place, n my first time has been a BUST!!! 4PMWED-$ 30 check, $ 1 – 2 small potatoes, $ 1 – 2 small soggy, overly sugared corn, $ 1.50−3 inch of cut sausage(come on hot dogs are 5.5inchs)great flavor, mushrooms were great, CRAWFISH75% pinky size, n shallow/deep water mix. Package for Togo was fantastic, still hot/warm 20 mins ltr. RIP tail from head, n 15% stays in head, I got a mouthful of warm tasteless saltwater, tail was flavorless salty n most had to be peeled from shell. 5 lb special? I see why, I threw it away after 1 lb n ate fish sandwich from whataburger.

By far the best bugs around. First few aren’t very hot but keep eating they get better. We had 5 lbs a piece and could have eaten more but we ran out of beer… rookie mistake I guess. Make sure you bring a cooler because it’s a great place to hang out and shoot the breeze after you’re done. They do charge for the corn and potatoes but it’s worth it.

This place is AMAZING!!! Literally the best crawfish and goxins I have had in years! We had 5 lbs of crawfish 2 corn, 2 potato, and 2 orders of mushrooms. The mushrooms we spicy but so yummy!!! I love that it’s BYOB, just wheel your cooler down sit down and pop open a cold one! The waitress was super sweet, they mostly look like young girls right out of high school. They were all very sweet. So you might be asking why only 4 stars? Weeellll I can’t be the judge for other nights but the bathroom was not clean when we were there. The toilet was broken and you kinda had to mess with the handle to get it to flush. The cap to the back of the toilet was thrown on the floor and broken in the corner. And I saw many of the staff going in and out of the bathroom and nothing was done. We will be going back next week!!!

We had the crawfish and ½ pound of shrimp. It was great! The tables were nice and everything was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to us since we had never been there before. The shrimp were big and juicy.

Awesome atmosphere, and BYOB! It might take a while to get seated because of how packed ot gets, but it’s well worth it. The crawfish are purged great, and the spices you can add yourself when it comes out so the people who dont like their crawfish as spicy can eat too.

The crawfish are gritty and are reheated. I’ve been here twice and the crawfish was reheated and not purged very well.

5 stars for atmosphere, service, and the fact that it’s BYOB. The staff is GREAT(the owner was going table to table, talking to customers last time I was there). Waitresses are super friendly, and if you BYOB they even offer to bring you ice for your cooler. They have several TVs around the«inside» of the restaurant, and they also have live music occasionally. 3 stars for food — the crawfish were good, but didn’t have much spice(which is good if you have a milder palate, but not if you enjoy the spice that’s typical with crawfish). The corn, potatoes, mushrooms, and sausage don’t come with the crawfish — they are all priced individually($.50 per corn, $.50 per potato, $ 1.25 for 5 mushrooms). I can’t rate any of the other food items, though, as I didn’t try anything else. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Pook’s, and will definitely be back! Great overall value, and great atmosphere!’

Love the atmosphere but wish they would make a spicy batch as well as a bland batch. We prefer a lot of spices, my husband and I find that out of about 6 times trying this place in 2013… they were bland. On the upside it is BYOB…

Have been twice now, crawfish are great and so are all the other items on the menu. Great indoor/outdoor setting and the service has been great both times. If you can try it, you should! Changing my rating, we eat there once a week when they are open. It doesn’t get much better. They have a varied menu, open seating, bring your own booze!
