I visited Santa Fe Spirits on a quiet fall Saturday night. The mixologist had a few suggestions, my friend and I both went with the night’s specials. We were delighted with our choices. The drinks were carefully poured, they had style and class, and our only wish was that we weren’t driving that night so we could stay and work our way down the menu. I will definitely be going back.

A fun place to try local liquors. Warning, it’s tiny inside. But they have a nice set of cocktails, mainly made out of/showcasing their own stuff. I’m a big fan of Wheeler’s gin, the aromatics are amazing. If you can snag a corner table, settle in and try a flight. The staff is thoughtful, knowledgeable and very friendly. And the prices on bottles are comparable, if not cheaper, than many small batch manufacturers, so they make a souvenir for your visitors to take home.

Went for a tasting and tour. The Apple Brandy is delicious! The Wheeler’s Gin is so smooth and has a fresh juniper flavor.

I purchased a bottle of their new single malt aged whiskey, Colkegan. Having toured their distillery a few times I was anxiously awaiting the release of this aged«scotch» in which the barley is smoked with mesquite wood. The mesquite flavor is fantastic as it makes this whiskey a bit different from comparable Scotch’s. I highly recommend giving this a try!

Checked out the new tasting room on Read Street. Really a nice atmosphere for cocktails before dinner in downtown Santa Fe. A small tasting room that would be crowded for more than about 15 people, but its nice for conversation. I love their gin which has a taste that says«New Mexico» to me.

Santa Fe Spirits is really unique, with a tasting room just a few yards away from the distillery and the aging room where the aroma from the barrels is almost as good as an actual drink. There’s a nice cozy bar for tasting and purchasing cocktails and bottles in late afternoon and evening. The apples for the brandy are locally grown and the spirits are made with local botanicals and herbs. and Tours are also available. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

My boyfriend and I were in Santa Fe on vacation and we drove out to Santa Fe Spirits for a tour and tasting. It is a pretty new operation but the guys that run it were super enthusiastic, friendly and informative. We had a great time and bought a bottle of the apple brandy that I’m excited to try in a hot toddy.

The Silver Coyote is a nice pure white whiskey made right here in Santa Fe! Drink it straight and hang on but mix it and it behaves like tequilla or vodka. Yummy Whisket — Ritas. .. For some reason i’ve had no hangover even though it is at 92 proof! I hear that they plan on having a tasting room for their products and are creating aged and other interesting spirits.
