Went in to buy some patches and was completely ignored. I stood at the counter for about five minutes while the lady sent an email and then walked away without a word to go order a part. I walked out and went to mellow velo where they helped me. Maybe if I was buying a thousand dollar bike they would have helped me.

I showed up on my bike this morning and got everything I needed at good prices: saddlebag, helmet and bike pump. Collin and Felicia are awesome. I feel very lucky to have this shop in riding distance.

My wife and I travel around the country with her 2006 Trek 4500WSD and my 1986 Diamondback Ascent on an open rack so you can imagine how important it is to have regular maintenance because the bikes are exposed to all kinds of weather and constant road dust. We were visiting in the Eldorado area about the time our bikes needed maintenance and we had the good fortune to find the Spin Doc bike shop. Colin, the best bike mechanic I’ve ever encountered, did a pre-inspection pointing out areas needing attention and demonstrating his expertise by the knowledgeable way he answered our technical questions about the components. When he was finished working on our bikes they were both like brand new. With all the work(and miles) over the years on my Diamondback, it never looked and rode as great as it did after Colin worked on it. It was immaculate inside and out and every component was operating to factory specs. On delivery, all the replaced parts were returned to us along with a itemized receipt detailing the cost of the new parts and labor. I rarely write reviews but this place is so good that I really had to give them a THUMBSUP. SpinDoc is the best place we’ve found in all our travels around the U.S. If you are in the Eldorado/Santa Fe area and want the highest quality care for your bike at a fair cost this would be the place to go.

Very knowledgeable & patient in solving your bicycle’s problems. I have an adult tricycle with which I exercise my large dog. It had been hit by a car in Los Angeles(not hard, but bad enough to cause problems). It had been worked on there. Then it got some rough treatment when I moved & it was in pieces on the top of my car. Once in Santa Fe, I put it all back together again, but had lost a spacer & the front breaks needed help; I figured it needed a good going-over. So, I called 1 bike repair shop, but they refused to work on it. It was as if a trike was beneath them. Then I took it to another bike repair place that had good reviews. They admitted that they’d never worked on a trike, but could probably do the job. Instead, they did a «make-do» job rather than order the spacer or any other necessary parts & sold me new tires instead. They didn’t even ask if I wanted them to order parts. I’d have said, «Yes!» When I got it back & could try it out in a safe, level place at a higher speed, it definitely was not working right & they’d not fixed the front brakes. Finally, I was passing SpinDoc & saw an old tricycle on their roof. I stopped, asked, they seemed fine about working on a trike & said they’d worked on many«home-made» one-of-a-kind vehicles. They not only ordered the correct spacer & fixed the brakes, but figured out what else was wrong(the accident had damaged the bearings). They even did some cosmetic repairs & a bit of welding. It now runs as good as the day I bought it & I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I highly recommend SpinDoc for repairs. It’s a little bit out of town, but easy to get to from Santa Fe or Las Vegas… & there is no issue with parking.

So friendly and knowledgeable!!! I’ve tried out a bunch of different bike shops in Santa Fe but this is by far my favorite. You can tell they know a ton about all kinds of cycling — road, mountain, cross, touring… Yet they don’t have any of that snobby bike shop attitude and never try to sell you what you don’t need. These guys love bikes and every time I go in it makes me even more excited to hop back on the saddle. They’ve been endlessly flexible and patient with me until I found the *perfect* saddle or the *perfect* mountain bike, while still being respectful of my budget. Though they are a little farther out of town, it’s entirely worth it. I brought a friend there and within 5 minutes he leaned over to me and said«I completely see why you only come to this shop.» Plus it’s a nice little ride out to their shop.
