Attention: I did not have coffee at this establishment. I WANTED to… I TRIED to. We pulled off the freeway on a Sunday morning just to come here. We arrive 45 minutes after opening time(7AM) to a darkened building. No one there. I called the business number. An answering machine. Not okay folks, not okay.

At long last a very exceptional man makes a corresponding cup of coffee. I had a cappucino with mocha and a touch of chili — INCREDIBLE! It took a few precious minutes hand mixing and preparing but so well worth it! And with each turn of the spoon, blending and combining, that went into that cup, a very loving vibe by the alchemist, Trevor, crowned his creation with the whipped cream of Heaven! A MUST visit, the very best in the Santa Fe area! –Thomas

The owner is very nice and friendly talked to him about the hours and he helped me confirm that they are open 7am to 2pm everyday. I got the Autumn Latte, it’s a very flavorful blend of spices. Love it! Also love the atmosphere and the music they play very calming and zen

I live in the area I bike with my friends on a nice chilled day to the coffee shop we walk in Trevor the batista and excellent artist greets us with helo men then sit down at the very well cleaned and maintained bar we have ordered about everything on the menu. Trevor is an excellent man who can make a good cup of coffee. His other employee Rachel very friendly and is very thoughtful of how she makes coffee. I have gone different days with both batista s. In all this coffe shop is very amazing and is worth going to if you are in the area. Sorry if I have any grammar errors

You know, not much is guaranteed in life. The people drive like crap. There is the unintended parking lot on the freeway. Life turns out to be a cereal that some dude name Mikey likes but with ingredients no one can pronounce… When you die, you probably still have to wait in line for coffee on the other side. Then there’s Tathagata Coffee. It’s like a beautiful zen garden for your mind, and then you get the coffee which finishes off the job of re-introducing you to the entire reason you got out of bed in the morning… before that annoying phone call… before your stove top goddess double chamber espresso maker died on the day when you needed it the most… and before you realized you put both contact lenses into the same eye and then wondered why you bothered to look for the«missing» one because they don’t work anyway… Tathagata reminds me of an aptly named place from long time ago: Café Raison d’être because it gives you something to look forward to. I would say run not walk to this beautiful little oasis in the desert. But alas, that would destroy it’s calm nature. Instead, walk there purposefully and yet like you are walking around inside a paper house — so you don’t disturb the beautiful vibe but instead align with it. And by all means, have some coffee. It will open your third eye to boot — and for no extra charge. A cool modern minimalist vibe.

World class coffee. Fantastic coffee shop. So good that my boyfriend and I each had 2 drinks. My boyfriend had the Don Juan which is a truly unique brew. They have all the usual options along with many custom drinks. The staff is extremely friendly with a laid back but vigilant vibe. The service was efficient and timely. The coffee was served at the perfect temperature to drink immediately. I drank the Zia. For someone who does not usually drink mochas I was pleasantly surprised. This drink was a smooth blend of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon. For our second round we had a drip coffee and peace and happiness. Both drinks were fantastic and we highly recommend them!

Excellent coffee. Loved the Don Juan. Friendly host and clientele as well as great wifi. My first visit to Santa Fe from Austin and needed a couple of hours to kill. This place was perfect! Even had a rabbit pay me a visit.

This is the best coffee in town. A great reason to rancho viejo village center even though that the family of celeb owls has grown up and moved on… if you have a hankering for well roasted, well brewed coffee… stop by and grab some. Take it on your walk around the park. Make a detour before embarking on your bike ride. It’s a great little shop and we are fortunate to have this to liven up the neighborhood.

We are so fortunate to have this coffee shop in Rancho Viejo. Whether it’s the coffee or the steamed eggs you can’t go wrong.

Simply the best coffee drinks you will find anywhere in New Mexico. Trevor is an artist with a coffee bean. Don’t miss this.

Excellent coffee in a calm, open atmosphere. The machine used here is a hand pulled espresso maker which seems to produce a smoother, better tasting drink. The Zia Latte is decadent and delicious. Fast WiFi, too.
