The bar at the Palace is the perfect backdrop for a cheeky Western! I love the over the top red velvet décor, as well as the old cowboy and Indian paintings, one if I recall correctly features a naked derrière. Grab your favorite dress up frills and head on down to the saloon.

One of the nicer restaurants in a city that has more restaurants than it has street lights. The Palace Restaurant started out as a bordello and has become an elegant restaurant that is patronized as often by locals as it is by tourists. The style is contemporary Mediterranian, decorated in a elegant old world red velvet and leather motif. There is entertainment nightly with frequent visits by entertainers and stars who live locally and just stop in for dinner and end up joining the fun and music at the bar. The menu has contemporary Italian, traditional American, Spanish American and Native American specialties on it. All are memorable. This is the kind of place you want to linger over coffee and dessert –this is the kind of place that LETS you! When the music starts, if you close your eyes you can see the dance hall girls in their colorful dresses being whirled about by cowboys in boots & spurs & chaps. Open your eyes and see a very similar scene taking place. There are cowboys here with their sweethearts. .. .. .hundred years or more and nothing has changed. I always felt at home here. Hopefully it is because it was a favorite of my parents who ate here for 30 years, rather than the fact that it was a colorful bordello. Sit back and relax and let one of the superb waiters assist you. Happy red or green!
