I always find everything I’m looking when I go to OSH, but the people working there seem to really hate their jobs. Not very helpful and quick to dismiss my questions.

Had a decent time here. The man was entertained. The selection of outdoor furniture and BBQs was nicely arranged. This store is oriented more toward typical consumers than some of the mega-​stores. I also found a very decent selection of attractive solar outdoor path lighting. We might have to go back for more stuff.

OSH… overpriced little bags of nuts and bolts… I think that’s what killed the old Builders Emporium and Angels Hardware. Be that as it may, when you need a certain size of something, they are closer than the next guy. Plants on dale are not bad. I get a kick out of their ‘no sales tax’ weekend… so they take 7−8% off of the transaction? Most places will discount 10% if you ask.

Most OSH are well run; this one in Santa Maria has all the components– but suffers from very poor attitudes from the employees. Arrogance, condescending, but the worst is they don’t want to help you find things. They really like to walk in circles and look busy. Usually this trickles down but I have never met the manager, so I can’t say. But I tried multiple times and 4 out of 5 were bad.
