Shaver Security Gates

Robert Shaver was great to deal with. I highly recommend him.
I had called around to get quotes from three other gate people to replace an old automatic gate that was no longer working. Two companies came out and gave me bids/​contracts that were incomplete. It was a pain to get them to put EVERYTHING in the contract. One of the other company’s representatives was slovenly and smelled of alcohol. I never even got a bid from that company, and it’s just was well. The company was in Santa Maria (I don’t remember which one.)
Robert put together a no BS contract. It was detailed and covered all parts and labor. His quote was not the lowest, nor was it the most expensive. Had his bid been the lowest I would have given him five stars. But, what made me choose him over the rest was the quality of the parts he used (e.g., a full-​sized Interstate battery for the back up battery!)
When he was doing the work (and during the bidding process), he was punctual, professional and communicated what he was doing and when it would get done. He finished my gate in just a couple of days. This included removing the old wood posts and replacing them with galvanized steel ones, installing a keypad and rehanging the existing gate panels. The quality of work was very good. That was about six months ago. The gate has been working well since its installation. I’m a very satisfied customer.
