All the food is great especially Cali burrito and shrimp tacos. The atmosphere is chill and laid back

Best Shrimp tacos you can get in Santa Maria! The salsa is WOW! Very flavorful. It’s like a party going on in your mouth.

All time favorite taco truck in town. Basically Cali fries and Cali burritos are a Sunday night ritual for me

just sayin, I had about 6 orders ahead of me and took over a half hour for my burrito al pastor($ 6.00) which the price was fair on but it was certainly not worth the wait and the hot sauce they have sucks btw, mostly just a salty flavor, I just used Cholula at home which was not ideal… They also made their orders out of order, a couple people behind me got their food before me, don’t know why…

Straight up, this is coming from a preference and does not speak to the flavor of the food. I’m always craving carne asada/Cali fries and a few of my friends recommended this place. I came on a Tuesday night and got my relatively quick. I love that the fries were spritzed with a little bit of lime! Added a new dimension of flavor. And they didn’t skimp on carne or cheese. YES. BUT. I hate thick cut fries. The fries they use are steak fries. Which is good I guess for holding up against the greasy meat and guac. Honestly I probably won’t come back. The fries were delicious, just not what I would pay for again.

Don’t let the long line scare you! Worth the wait! Best. Tacos. Ever! We moved here from a place that had a taco truck on every other corner, and we miss them! This one is the best ever!

Each time we’ve taken friends there they are amazed at the food. The reason I give it 4 stars is the wait. While my order may be 7th in line I don’t understand how a truck place can take 45 minutes. The orders in front of ours were basic simple one not huge. 15 minutes is acceptable and possibly even 20 but 30 to 45 no.

Okay so based on Unilocal reviews I had to try this place. I went on a Friday night and ordered shrimp tacos and a torta. The tacos were good the torta was average but the reason for the 3 stars was cause my order took 40 minutes and I’m not exaggerating or stretching the truth here by any means. This is the longest time I’ve ever waited for food, fast food at that. Unless you’re willing to waste a good 30 to 40 minutes just standing around to Wait then I would just skip this place. I’ve had better tacos in this town and much less wait times. One other thing, you can’t order all the items on one day like I wanted to do because certain items are available on certain days. Just a bit of a let down if you ask me.

This is the go-to place on Friday and Saturday night for those of you who love shrimp tacos. Trust me. The number of people here tells you all you need to know. I’m an asada man, be it burrito, quesadilla or tacos, and I say this is the tastiest I’ve had in Santa Maria. If you’re in Santa Maria and hungry, you should definitely try this place.

There is something to be said when there are 3 or 4 taco trucks within a 1 mile radius down North Broadway and the only one with a line is Vaqueras. Omar and his staff are lovely but what sets them apart from other taco trucks is simply their food. Great taste, great quality, at a great price. If you’re ever in the area on Friday or Saturday nights stop by and try their shrimp tacos but be prepared to wait there is always a line.

My husband and I fell in love with Vaqueras after a customer brought in their shrimp tacos one Friday night. Everything they make is amazing but there are 3 things you have to try: shrimp tacos on Friday and Saturday, the Cali burrito during the week and the Cali fries. This food truck is better than the gourmet trucks in downtown LA.

Vaqueras is a good local business with strong family families. Out here tonight in support their taco only fundraising event, there always willing to lend a helping hand to the community they serve. Not to mention some of the best Mexican food around town. Just there Generosity alone keeps me coming back.

This place is ridiculously good. Cali burrito always but only if I have someone to share with. It’s huge! Chili cheese tater tots are a bit soggy but so good. Tacos and quesadilla also awesome. Highly recommend. But prepare to wait awhile. That is my only complaint, it takes waaaayyy too long. But it’s good, so I wait.

First time here Wed, I was curious so ordered the chicken and al pastor tacos. 3 tacos took 45 min wait so I thought it would be worth the wait. but while the wait couple of ppl did mention they are best known for their Cali burrito. Anyhow, after 45 min waiting and seeing ppl who ordered after me get their orders first makes me think they really don’t have a system down, and also saw what seemed to be friends of the owners, drive up & got their food express. So, after finally getting my 3 tacos I was very disappointing. Chicken just boiled not grilled BLAND no flavor what so ever. Al pastor were meh. Their chilli bean cheese fries very good maybe a little to heavy for me personally, but overall good.

This place was really really good! I loved all the tacos that I tried, and I loved the fact that they actually have guacamole! Every other taco place I go to never had avocados or guacamole. I will definitely be going back again, I can’t wait to try the burritos.

I don’t know why there isn’t more reviews about this?!! This taco truck is the best. This is what amazing Mexican food taste like. Every day is a special medium. My favorite items are the Cali fries with Al Pastor and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos are on Friday and sat. Follow them on Facebook for their location as there’s 3 spots they park at

First time I went here, it was because everyone was talking about it. The first few things I ever ordered were the shrimp tacos, and a carne asada burrito. They came out great… orrr at least I thought they did? Maybe I was just excited to try this taco truck people raved about and got caught up in the whole thing… Don’t get me wrong… the quality of the meat does stand more compared to the other taco trucks nearby. However, I prefer my quesadillas firm, crispy, and not oozing with greasiness. You get a HUGE serving, but you also end up with a puddle of grease at the bottom, and the soggy tortilla starts separating… it wasn’t good at all… The burritos are large, and you get a lot for $ 5. They don’t stand out from other burritos that you can get elsewhere… but it’s good for what you pay, and definitely worth it if you’re hungry. Nothing special, but very satisfying On a much brighter note, the shrimp tacos are a hit. You can’t go wrong with those, but they only serve it certain days. This is a unique taco and the execution is different than you might expect(is that cheese on my shrimp???)… but it works! Also, for you non-cash carrying customers. they do take electronic payment! you do have to pay the tax/transaction fee or whatever it is, but it’s not too bad. I would just try to have cash on you so you pay with nice round numbers… makes things easier. PLUS they almost ALWAYS have someone who can speak/understand English… makes things so much easier when you want to tweak your order a bit. Definitely good. I still stop by fairly often… but I’ve learned to stay away from the quesadilla after 3 greasy attempts. I’ll stick to the tacos!
