Staff was super friendly, recommended great wine! Great place for a date or to meet a future date. Stand out service from Moses and Marshall!

My fiancé and I ate here on Saturday(6⁄25). We had been so excited to try out this restaurant, as it is walking distance from our home. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, however the food was subpar. The tomatoes on our margherita pizza were over-seasoned, and the brussel sprouts were cut and prepped so poorly that they were inedible.

1000 stars for Bodega. In addition to being my favorite local haunt with the best happy hours in the area, they have a friendly and honest staff too. They just saved my night by helping me recover my misplaced iPhone. Go team Bodega!

Liked the ambiance once the sun went down and the candles were lit. Tuesdays they have half of beers! I’d say 3.50 for a beer is pretty good in the Santa Monica area. Service was prompt and friendly. Waiter was flying hard core with my friend but she didn’t seem to mind! We got a lot of free shots for her birthday and a cute little candle for her to blow out. Just while writing this my review went from 4 to 5. I would recommend the bruschetta over the margharita(sp?) Flat bread. The bruschetta came also with artichoke filling on some pieces. Definitely worth it for happy hour on a Tuesday. Foooo sho.

A tiny bit crowded and tough to get a seat, but you cannot argue with the $ 20 wine bottles on Wednesday or the tremendous flatbreads. Definitely try their happy hours!

Great little wine bar! It’s romantic so good for a date but also fun for a group. They have really good happy hours too. Might be hard to get a table if you’re not there by like 6.

I was here for a very short amount of time to get a glass of wine after dinner with co-workers. Overall it was very nice inside, looked a bit like a dance club more than a wine bar, and it was super chilly inside with the AC blasting. Will have to come back after a more thorough experience with food.

What an awesome place for happy hour! All wine bottles are just $ 20 each. The place is hip, but small. If you plan on coming with a big party, you’ll need to come early! My friends and I came here around 930ish and the place was packed! It’s self seating as well so first come first serve. Luckily, we were able to find chairs and a small table against the back wall. A server later came and provided us with menus. Their food selection is very limited. It is mostly finger foods. We ordered two pizzas(meat lover and spiced chicken with bruschetta) for $ 13 each and roasted fingerling potatoes. The pizzas were good, but a little overpriced for what they’re worth. Be careful with the spiced chicken, it had a little too much heat for what I prefer. The roasted fingerlings were great, but still way too pricey. It comes with spicy ketchup and an aioli. This place gets 4 stars not for their food, but for their ambiance and experience. There’s no better way to spend your Wednesday night than to roll out with a few friends and enjoy some wine. Hopefully something like this opens in OC soon!

Fail-proof wine bar. It’s got a large selection of wines(not the greatest, mind you, but my palette prefers large, well-rounded, robust varieties), great atmosphere with 2-tops and community tables everywhere, a cool-looking bar(think: brick wall with acrylic wine holders), and a few couch sections for larger parties. The crowd is good looking, young professional /dates /catch-ups, it’s dimly lit and romantic, the music is always great, and the service is generally pretty top notch. The happy hours are fantastic, and the food is pretty good(sliders, hummus, bruschetta, flatbreads, meat and cheese board, etc). There is valet, as well. I’ve been on weekdays where it was reasonably full and Friday night got packed but not uncomfortably. Always a good spot.

The GF’s been trying to get me to try this spot for some time, but it wasn’t until we found ourselves looking for a nice change of pace that I finally paid a visit to Bodega: ______________ + I really like the overall vibe here — it strikes a nice balance between laidback and energetic. The feel here is more«grown up» and sophisticated than some of the other local drinking spots in the area — although that could’ve been because we visited on a weekday. Either way, it was a refreshing break from the norm! + In addition to having a more traditional afternoon Happy Hour(5 – 7PM), Bodega also features a late night Happy Hour from 10PM until closing on Sunday through Thursday. We just so happened to stop by while said Happy Hour was in full effect, and we ended up paying only $ 6 per glass of wine! We had two glasses each — one of white & one of red. I can’t recall exactly which varieties we tried, but I do remember that we both ordered the same variety of white, followed by two different types of red. The white wine that we ordered was refreshing and light on the palate. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the red that I ordered — too bold for my liking.(However, as it always is with drinking — once you get over a certain threshold, you really couldn’t care less about the taste…) + The bartenders at Bodega have a pretty generous pour, which I certainly appreciated. I was already getting a nice mellow wine buzz off of my first glass! + We didn’t get a chance to try any of Bodega’s culinary offerings during our visit, but we plan to definitely do so sometime soon. A table next to ours ordered a pizza, and the aromas wafting over our way definitely caught my attention. It’s also worth noting that Bodega’s appetizers & pizzas are discounted during both afternoon and late night Happy Hours. + I’m kicking myself right now for not remembering our server’s name — he was excellent! Attentive without being intrusive, friendly in a sincere way — he did a very good job. I’m that much more inclined to make a return trip to Bodega because of how well we were taken care of. ______________ With the right company, I could easily see myself killing a few hours just lounging out here. Can it be Wine Wednesday already?

Probably one of the best date spots in town. Food is good but not great. Wine is reasonably priced. They tend to fill up quickly so getting a seat around me 5pm-5:15pm is a good idea. The one thing that stick out to me is that they don’t have enough servers on staff. Several tables around us had empty glasses. One table of people walked out because a server never came to their table to take their order. I’ll be back because the atmosphere is good along with pricing. I’ll just be sure to order a bottle of wine for my wife and I from the beginning so we don’t have challenges with tracking down a server.

I really liked Bodega Wine Bar. We held a holiday party here with approximately 35 people, and they were very hospitable. Jamaica(the event coordinator) was wonderful. It was so easy to set everything up. There were pre-set food packages and happy hour wine deals, the ambiance was warm and cozy, and they easily accommodated our larger group. Some tips: — If you get the Sandbox, please make sure to ask to reserve the two tables in that area. You will be happy you did. — We ordered two of the 20 person food packages, soju bar, 6 happy hour wines, and 2 carafes of sangria, plus some other odds and ends, and it was the perfect amount of food for 35 people. — We got the beer bucket, and it was a great deal, as we were only charged for the ones people drank. — It is a great venue for a large group, as people will be coming and going at different times, so it offers more flexibility. — We managed to do a white elephant, and while it was a little awkward with the space, it was still fun. We tried a pictionary-type game, and that didn’t work out too well, so just bear the space in mind if you’re planning activities. Most people seemed to just want to mingle and chat, for which the space was perfect. — If you are comping valet for your group, and you get there 15 mins early, valet might not be set up, so just keep that in mind. They were were set up by our actual reservation time, so that worked out well. Everyone had a great time, and we would definitely go there again!

Came to Bodega with a large group of people. It was busy on a Saturday mostly with people on dates but we found seats easily. The Dexter cocktail was delicious and refreshing without being too sweet. The group ordered the brussel sprouts which were crispy and balsamic, the amazing grilled cheese bites, a garden flatbread which could have used some more veggies, and the pepperoni plate which was just okay. More of a lounge than a bar for big groups but we still had a good experience.

I came here a lot recently because it has been my go-to wine bar. The first time I came here, I was overwhelmed by the dark crowded room. We happened to come on a Wednesday, and the Wednesday special is a $ 20 bottle of wine. Pretty good deal as long as you are ready to commit to a bottle. Luckily we were very happy with the Mcmanis petite syrah. A great choice for us girls who didn’t like it too dry. The petite syrah had a good balance of fruit and heaviness so that it was okay to drink with our meal. The other time I came it was definitely more quiet, a Monday night. The Monday special is Happy Hour prices all night long. Definitely a win. $ 6 wine and $ 4 beers. The selection of foods on the HH list is limited but the serving sizes are large enough to fill you up. We had the bruschetta and the margarita flatbread from the HH menu and ordered brussel sprouts to add on to it. All were large enough portions to create a dinner for us two girls. This night I had the Mcmanis again haha. I came home with blue teeth though. Watch out. I came back with the bf for a last minute NYE celebration, just cus it would be too sad being at home to do the Countdown. The cover was $ 20, which was fine with me since I know many events downtown were in the $ 100s. I could have gotten in free if I said I was with the party but I didn’t catch the bouncer’s hints and I paid up. He was nice for giving me clues, I wish he had made it more obvious lol. This night I went with the cabernet sauvignon. A heavier wine that would have been better with food. There was champagne at midnight for all so that made the cover more worth it. I drank a lot of bubbly enough to feel it until I got home. Overall bodega is a low-key relaxed place that serves a lot of wines and doesn’t make you feel intimidated like some other wine bars/restaurants with wine menus thicker than Bibles can make me feel. I like wine but I am not a master. I like to try new things and bodega lets me do that with specials and chill music. Thanks bodega. Free street parking after 6pm! My friend paid the meter before reading the sign and we paid until 8pm, unknowingly. I probably sound like a ditz after this review. Blame it on the wine.

I came to Bodega around 8pm on a Friday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was very packed and we had a party of 8. Tables are open seating and it was difficult to find a place for all of us to sit. We ended up squeezing into a corner of one of the longer tables. This place is definitely not group friendly for parties of more than 3 or 4. However, the drinks and food are very good. Our group shared sangria and soju for drinks, of which I would recommend the sangria. For food, we tried the Everything’s Better With Bacon and the Carnivore pizza. The Carnivore was delicious while the EBw/B was disappointing(very little bacon, too much red peppers, flimsy pizza). We also shared the 3 cheese plate, bacon wrapped dates, bbq beef sliders, and beef tacos. I would recommend the cheese plate and definitely the bacon wrapped dates which has hints of sweet and savory that complement each other really well. The beef sliders and tacos were just so-so, and I thought $ 10 and $ 9, respectively, was not worth the average quality. For dessert, we tried the cookies and cream cheesecake and the brownie sundae. Both are extremely sweet and good for sharing. I preferred the cheesecake which was richer and less sweet than the gooey brownie. In addition, there’s good service, enjoyable music, and it’s kept clean. Downsides may include finding parking and that it can get pretty loud. Overall, Bodega Wine Bar is a trendy place and a decent option to get good food and drinks with friends.

First time coming to this cozy place, Saturday night. I liked the style, dim lighting, and the contemporary design. We ordered grilled cheeses which was really good. They have a good selection of wine and beer. The DJ was OK. They have valet parking and street parking is available if you get there before 10:30. The only thing i didn’t like was the open window where the lights from the cross the street made the inside lighter than it was suppose to be. The inside lighting system was good if the outside light wasn’t interrupting. Overall i had a good experience and would return to this place.

Can’t say enough positive things about this Bodega. Service: Exceptional service from everyone. Jamaica who helped us make our group reservation was such a pleasure to work with and our server Eric and his staff were amazing to ensure out night was great. Food: For many of our group it was their first time at Bodega and they we’re amazed at the great quality food. We tried the Pizzas, Hummus, Sliders, Bruschetta and more, all of it was delicious. We also enjoyed a great Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc and Sangria. Make sure to check Bodega out if you haven’t before!

My friend and I grabbed seats at the bar, we went for happy hour and it was quite packed. It seemed like date night, the evening I went –tons of couples. Making this review short, sweet, to the point… Reasons to scope out Bodega if you’re on the Westside: Dimly lit, cozy feel Great happy hour prices($ 6 wines, $ 6 appetizers– we got the bruschetta, $ 4 beers, $ 6 Soju drinks, $ 8 pizzas) Nightly specials –Happy hour all night on Mondays! It was busy for a Monday night. Moderate loudness of music playing Good for groups as it has communal tables Service is meh –nothing over the top. Service at the bar took awhile. No stemware for the wine?!? All stemless cups– I guess, it gets folks to not babysit their wine too long, as the warmth of one’s hands is no bueno for the wine.

This place is delicious! I came in tonight with one of my best friends. It was pretty empty at 10pm which was great because there was no line. We were able to seat ourselves so we chose an area with a nice cushion. The waitress approached us right away to take drink orders and give suggestions. We originally both wanted the Taco Tuesday special but after hearing that the tacos were spicy I decided to get something else. Huge bonus for letting me know ahead of time. I got the bbq beef sliders. They were mouth watering and cooked so perfectly! Although they are a bit small after having three I was stuffed. My friend ordered beef and potato tacos. He liked the beef ones more than the potato ones. We also had apple cider beer to drink. Fantastic service and will definitely be back again! Lots of street parking at night.

I love wine, so this is the ideal spot to unwind after a long day at work. Came here for Happy Hour on a random Tuesday around 10pm. Found street parking right in front. Their HH drink menu not only includes wine, but also beer and soju cocktails, which is great since my friend does not love wine as much as me. We started off with the White Tiger and El Rey. Both taste like juice so be careful when ordering your 2nd or 3rd round because it WILL hit. From their HH menu Artichoke Tapenade & Tomato Bruschetta: Huge order for only $ 6. Came with 10 pieces. The bread were perfectly toasted and had great flavor from the olive oil. I’m used to tomato bruschetta but the artichoke was a pleasant surprise. Not from their HH menu Apple and Brie Pizza: I was really looking forward to this since I had an apple and brie grilled cheese once that was literally one of the best things I ever ate. So when this pizza came out and I had a bite, I was slightly disappointed that it did not live up to my expectations. There was too much crust and not enough melted cheese. Perhaps because we ordered the bruschetta as well, it just felt like carbs overload. This is just me being super nitpicky though. I also ordered the house Pinot Grigio($ 6) and my friend got the Framboise beer($ 9). Both sweet and went well with our food. Ambiance is dim and romantic with sofas for seating. Service was a bit slow and inattentive, but it did not spoil the evening since we were there to relax and de-stress.

Bodega is a modern-ish wine bar. There’s nothing too special about this place but you can get a good glass of wine for under 10 bucks. There are awesome lounge chairs and couches right by the open air front window… but they all had reserved signs on them. I’m not sure who they were reserved for because nobody sat there for the entire time we were there. We got a glass of Lambrusco for $ 9. The service was good and the ambience was nice just nothing that would put this place over the top.

The food here is surprisingly good for a wine bar. The wine is a little hit and miss, but the servers are very helpful in explaining them to us. I’m not very knowledgeable on wines so I mostly just went by how much I liked them. The dessert was my favorite — the cheesecake and the banana bread were both excellent. Pair it with a Reisling, and you’re good to go. Parking is a bit annoying, definitely need to find street parking. Went on a Saturday night and didn’t encounter too much trouble finding parking.

Loved it. Great vino, nummy food, our waitress, Laura, was a beaut and they have board games! Never went in because I’d thought it was maybe a 20-only crowd, but not so. And much bigger on the inside, too, than what it appears from the outside. Try: Pizza with brie, green apples and arugula.

Our server Laura was great! She is super friendly and generous to all her tables. We came in for happy hour and the drinks are GREAT! You must try the El Rey which is tropical red bull, passion fruit and soju. I got the white wine blend which was very delicious as well. The pizza is a pretty decent size for $ 8 and the roasted potatoes are bomb! Great place to hang out for a few drinks or cheese plates.

I love Bodega Wine Bar. This is not my favorite location but it is a great place to hang out. It is dimly lit, there is a DJ on the weekends, lots of high top tables and some sexy couches for seating. They serve light appetizers like pizza, tacos, and roasted potatoes – all very good. They have a small selection of wine and beer, not too impressive but it gets the job done. I suggest going early if you want to find a place to sit. It gets so crowded and loud – which is not a bad thing but something to consider if you plan on taking a date here or meeting up with friends. The ambiance is upscale so be sure to dress appropriately – no dresses, just trendy. Happy hour and reverse happy hour available. I did stop by on a weeknight once before and they had a lot of old school games like Connect Four and Jenga for you to play at your table. There was no DJ so the atmosphere was more conducive for catching up with friends.

Last Friday, I went to Bodega for happy hour with friends and to meet new ones. It’s a fairly large place with lots of tables and chairs to sit and lounge. The bar was fairly empty around 5:30pm, so we had most of the place to ourselves. All in all, we had a group of about 40 people. The staff is all very friendly and nice. The service was very good. For happy hour, they serve food and have drink specials. I had one Stella Artois for $ 4. It’s interesting that the bottle is now 11.2oz. It looks noticeably smaller. That’s not Bodega’s fault. There are TVs in many places around the bar and they had the USA women’s world cup soccer game on(against Sweeden). Overall, it’s a nice place with plenty of seating. My only complaint was that it was getting a bit hot in the place. Xie Xie!

Bodega Wine Bar is located on Broadway, right across from the Von’s & the Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s & Poke. Medium size venue, dark, lots of large windows through the front. This is a great spot to grab drinks on a week night. Lots of great wines to choose from and lots of small plates and pizzas to share. I tried the Santa Barbara Chardonnay, name is escaping me but it was delish, crisp and refreshing. We also tried the bacon pizza on gluten-free crust(love that they have gluten-free options) and the side order of the Brussels sprouts which were blackened and served up in a small cast iron skillet. Both options were great, nothing could have been better! I would recommend this wine bar to locals and professionals looking to network. Great little spot, fair prices for the portions & heavy pours for glasses of wine.

I met my daughter here last night and after all my nights in SM looking for a new cool place, I found it. Tough to find the first time, but when you do… you have struck wine club gold. Cool place with all kinds of little nooks to sit at. I started at a table and then found these couches in the back that looked ridiculously comfortable. And they were just that and worked well with the first bottle of wine. A lovely Malbec on the happy hour menu for $ 22.00! Nice start to the night. You can also get a carafe for $ 16.00. We tried the bacon wrapped dates and loved them, I was not crazy about the brushetta… but the pizza was very very good. I had it cooked a bit longer to give it a crisp and that worked well. Prices were fair and parking starts at 6PM for valet. Tough to find parking on the streets. Service was good and efficient, nice people.
