As we headed out of the parking structure on Third Street Promenade, we are greeted with this corner café across the street from where we parked. We decided to just take a chance and try it! Every time I try a new place out I always ask the waiter what he/she recommends. I don’t know if that’s always a smart thing to do lol. Thankfully for me, this waiter was spot on. I was waited on by a gentleman named Matheus. He was extremely patient with my indecisiveness lol. And eventually pointed me towards one of the savory chicken crepes in which he said to add avocados. My friend got a sweet crêpe and some breakfast combo. The food came out in a timely manner and I was not disappointed! Whatever yummy sauce was in that chicken crêpe was delicious! And the recommendation by Matheus to add avocado was genius!(Matheus! You got some great taste buds!) Even the sweet crêpe was out of this world. It had like Gouda or Brie in it which paired so well with the sweetness. I was in heaven. It’s crazy to me that this place doesn’t get better ratings. The service was amazing! Matheus always made sure my beverage was full and was extremely personable considering it was my first time there. I will definitely be back to try your other crepes! And as you’re leaving or entering the café, you get a little crêpe show! It’s pretty awesome! Thanks for a great experience Crêpe Café!

Top notch crêpe staple of 3rd street! Pros: amazing selection, made fresh and extremely tasteful selection of crepes. Awesome corner location. Great inside décor and outside seating options. Spacious and comfortable booths. This crepes are a must have! My personal favorites are strawberry Nutella and Coconut and Banana Nutella. I also love their dinner crepes such as chicken and mushroom and cheese. The French fries are also top notch. You got a super European feel when you visit this spot. Cons: mostly crêpe selection only and small menu outside of this type of desert/food. Novelty: awesome corner spot with a huge selection of everything crêpe! Must have/visit!

Food was okay, buy not worth the cost. I ordered the southwestern savory crêpe and rice & chicken soup. Cost was about $ 15 before tax/tip. The crêpe has red peppers, onions, cheese, and chorizo. The presentation was boring. It came folded as a triangle without any sauce or sides. I asked for sour cream on the side, but they didn’t have any. The crêpe was pretty average, maybe even a little on the dry end. Soup was mediocre, but a really small portion. Overall, there are a number of other places I’d rather eat at on the SM Promenade.

Nice dining spot on Third Street Promenade. Let’s start with the drinks. Drinks: Had their spicy Bloody Mary. Perfect amount of spice for someone who is a wimp(me). Decorated with olives and celery. Had a solid buzz after I finished it, but could not detect any alcohol. They hid it well. Also had a latte. It tasted like a good latte to me! Food: This is where they lost a star. Had the vegetarian crêpe with spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, and some sort of cheese. While it was tasty, their mushrooms were definitely not fresh. Looked like they were from a can. :/Also split the Nutella and coconut crêpe with my mom. It tasted like a mounds bar and that’s exactly what I wanted. We sat on the patio and took our time eating, chatting, drinking. It was the perfect spot for all three of those things.

Coming to LA I was craving a cozy quick breakfast and that’s exactly what I got. Out of my 5 day stay I came 3 times for breakfast. Not only do they have great crepes but great traditional breakfast as well. The place is a tad crowded but for good reason. Service was quick & great. Would definitely recommend to anyone & everyone!

Omg horrible. We ate outside. I thought, oh great, we can watch the chef make the crepes. Windows were dirty! Geez, at least clean the windows so we don’t have to see through dirt to watch our food being prepared. Window sills caked with dirt. We almost did not eat here. I felt bad because we already ordered the food. I brought my Viet pretty, thinking she would enjoy the food. She ordered a baby green salad. Sour dressing! Yuck. Water was warm! What’s up with that? Can you spare some ice, sidewalk café? Pleeeeeeeease. It was over 80 degrees outside today. Waitress was short; kind of rude. Her name is Melissa A. Crêpe was eh. Blah. Dry. No tasty sauce over it. Stick to Creperie on 2nd St., Long Beach, CA. Blows this place away! Petite fries were salty, like McDonald’s. No good. Booooooo.

Café crêpe is not as good as how I remembered it was. I used to come here whenever I’m in Santa Monica, granted it’s not very often maybe 2 or 3 times a year about 3 – 4 years ago. But I always leave a happy camper. But this last time i went, the hostess seems really tired and didnt didnt communicate with us much. Got really confused cause she ask everyone else inside or outside, but didnt ask me. Instead she said give me a sec, so i thought she was going to sit us, but completely ignored us so we stand by the door awkwardly waiting. Then someone came after us got seated right away… we were going to leave but she came back and sat us… outside… Anyhoo, both of the savory crêpe i got the taste was alright, but the crêpe skin was soggy makes me wonder if it’s fresh or premade… Same with the sweet one. I was quite disappointed since I used to like this place.

Came here for a morning work meeting. Not a bad experience. I just wished waitress was better trained and my fresh strawberry crêpe had fresh strawberries than old pink ones. But My friend found the french toast crêpe good.

So far, this was the best crêpe I had. I have tried crepes at farmers market, IHOP and a few others. But, usually they are too thick or is just not the right taste. I tried dark chocolate with almond crêpe hear and it was delicious. They fill chocolate inside the crêpe and it has just the right amount of chocolate as well. There is a parking garage near by and the view of santa monica third street is as ever glorious!

Not to familiar whith creeps but my my, for my first ever, I was amazed. First off the thing was the size of my face which is always a plus. Second it was scrumptious, though I only had a dessert one(bananna split.) I want to try a meal in a creep next time. However, I’m not sure if I ate it propperly.

I spotted this place on a corner along the famous third street promenade. This little café is located in a bustling area with lots of pedestrian traffic. My party got seated outside and people watching played a large part in our outdoor eating experience. I ordered lemon chicken plate and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and filling it was! Came with mashed potatoes and ratatouille — pretty good! Service was satisfactory and fast. I would come here again.

We were really disappointed to see that they no longer make fresh crepes. Now the crepes seem to be pre-made. They just take it out a tin container. No more making it at the time you order it. I guess they do this to save time. But I kinda like to see the whole process. They are still yummy. Also, they are really stingy w/the Nutella and fruit. Specially they strawberries. Before they would put lots of Nutella and strawberries. Not they limit their portions and even size it(2 scoops or one small banana). I think there is another crêpe place at the food court. I’ll probably check it out next time. Hopefully they are fresh.

Every time we visit Santa Monica, we end up eating at this charming corner restaurant. We have tried to dine elsewhere, but subconsciously, this place is our favorite. What I do wish is we were here more often to taste other items on their menu. Such is not the case and I will not beat my mind up over it. Because! This I know that when we return, we are eating here again(it’s programmed into our minds). Our most recent visit happened during winter season mid-January. The restaurant is busy enough but not packed as it would be during summer. There is an outdoor seating area, quite pleasant. But Nessa never likes sitting outside — party pooper. We enter the checker floored eatery and are seated as soon as we walk in. People at the bar, guests throughout the main dining area. It’s a cozy sitting space, but I’m guessing, in France this is how it is. We both order West Coasts, one was a crêpe the other an eggs benedict(that’s mine). Salmon with veggies, and flavor you’d want to drink — however it’s better savored with chewing. If you love salmon, it’s a must try! What keeps me coming back to this restaurant is the food, location, and the casual feel. It’s a beach community anyhow. Our server, who I want to acknowledge was Maria. Thanks for taking care of our hunger this time around. If you are reading this and you also cannot decide where to eat, just go here! P. S. There are dessert crepes too.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been a great experience. Last time I came here in the middle of a day of shopping. I had the hot chocolate and the chicken and mayonnaise crêpe and it was delicious! I’ve seen it on the menu but never tried it and I’m glad I did. My father got his usual sweet crêpe blueberry with fresh strawberries on top. I also love the posters on the wall, wish I had them in my home. Café Crêpe is so delicious and the waitresses are so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

I’m walking 3rd street with family and a horde of children. I was looking for a delicious snack for 1st lunch. My sister was raving about the crepes here and I ordered 2 butter and sugar crepes. 1st lunch should be light after all. The crepes last 5 minutes in the kids hands. Mine lasted 7 minutes. SOOOOGOOOOD!!!

This little restaurant at the 3rd st promenade specializes in crepes, But I come here for their classic cheeseburger because it is amazing!!! The best burger I’ve ever had. Always well cooked, prepared, and served! I’m talking quality. add avocado. Its amazing! Ive never had crepes but other’s plates have looked delicious. I do wish the place was bigger. When it’s busy it can get pretty full and you seat way too close to other parties. Its crowded. Its worth it thought. Definitely recommend.

Keeping my reviews simple and as objective as possible. Got my table very quickly. Had the boeuf fume, with extra avocado and ham. Also had a Nutella hot chocolate since the weather was right. The food was really good, and very tasty. The drink was not too hot, nor was it too sweet(mind you, i have a sweet tooth). All in all, a great experience. P. s. the server was quite attentive. That’s always a plus.

I had a late lunch and didn’t know what to eat in Santa Monica… Wasn’t sure if I wanted to pay $ 14 for a regular burger from a random burger stand or sit down and try something… So I decided to come to crêpe café. Due to Santa Monica having crazy rates on their parking meters I only had a limited time. The waitress was very sweet. I ordered a coffee and a strawberry cream cheese crêpe. I told’m to rush it and they brought out the coffee quickly and then shortly after the crêpe. The crêpe is a pretty plain looking crêpe, which in all reality in Paris the crepes are like this, not all fancy shmancy… The crêpe tasted good, not amazing, but it was a pretty good crêpe. The coffee actually tasted really good! I’d try something different next time, and yes I’m hoping there will be a next time! They have great service, good food, and nice outdoor seating(which always is a plus in my eyes). Why 4 stars??? Well I wasn’t that crazy about the crêpe but I’ll try something different next time and hope it’ll be awesome! Try it out!

Terrible service here. You can’t sit inside to wait for takeout orders even though it was empty they make you stand outside. I ordered a dessert crêpe, they literally handed it to me wrapped in a napkin no box or plate or anything… i asked for a scoop of ice cream on it thinking it would be in a box at least, they gave me a cup for the ice cream and the crêpe in a napkin. Over priced too.

Busy corner spot with a nice atmosphere! I can’t believe I haven’t stopped by here before. I had the Dark Chocolate Crêpe with Almonds, and it was excellent! The chocolate filling was rich and decadent, and the almonds added the perfect crunch. The crêpe itself was light and eggy; the small portion towards the edges that wasn’t covered in chocolate made that abundantly clear. I was seated quickly and had my order in no time. It was busy, but everything seemed to be running smoothly. Absolutely no complaints.

I am a local that comes to 3rd st every so often… And 9⁄10 times I come to this gem. It is easily a delicious treat or satisfying meal. The great part about this gem is obviously the crepes. And definitely the sweets ones! I always order the Nutella, strawberry and banana crêpe. It’s so good! They make it crunchy on the edges and gooey in the center. You won’t be disappointed. The bad part is number one… The wait. This place is always busy and the waiters are always overwhelmed. The second bad part is the service. Once again, waiters always seem very overwhelmed and it takes a couple times to get across what you need. You may need to chase them down for the tab as well. This is what the restaurant needs improvement on! Other than that, the food is always fresh and tasty. Their café is set up like a café! Very small. If you’re claustrophobic don’t come inside! I like that they didn’t remodel to make it larger. it gives it a great vibe. You can come for just coffee and relax, a hearty lunch after the beach(try the vegetable soup!) or a sweet treat while shopping. It will all be worth it!

Crêpe Café is one of my favorite lunch spots on the Promenade! Although the tables are in pretty close quarters, there are three main reasons why I love sitting at their outdoor tables. 1) I get to enjoy the Southern California sunshine and breeze 2) I get to watch the man making and flipping fresh crepes through the window 3) These tables are prime seating for people-watching in Santa Monica. — located at the corner of a main intersection of the promenade, you get to see lots of exciting people and performers pass by! In terms of crepes, all of the ones I’ve tried in the past have been pretty good. I’m a big fan of crepes, and Crêpe Café makes crepes that are light and fluffy! However, I wish the chefs packed more fillings inside of the crepes, it’s mainly crêpe and not a lot of goodies inside. Crêpe Café is a solid spot for tasty crepes and great location. Whether I’m in the mood for something sweet or savory, I can find something at here!

My friend raved about the crêpe here. It was alright for me. The restaurant does get busy though so it is a good sign but it is also a tiny place. Ambiance: casual Food: ok Price: average Service: ok. She was nice but had to flag her down a couple of times. Review: Small restaurant with a cozy feel. Dirty utensils and spotty cups. Crepes are too soft for my taste and overly sauced. I like mines crisper. Nutella, strawberry, and banana crêpe with side of vanilla ice cream(1⁄5). Way too much nutella and the crêpe was soggy. Le Club savory crêpe(2⁄5) it was alright. Again soggy crêpe and way too much cheese. Overall meh…

If you are looking for a fun and relaxed restaurant look no further. Café Crêpe is a little French corner restaurant that feels like it should be in a village not on the promenade. I only sit outside and enjoy the sun and great people watching. The food is always fresh I mean really fresh! I’ve enjoyed everything from most of the salads to many of there delicious crepes. My favorite is prosciutto and brie. Though they have dozens to choose from. Both savory and sweet. The best salad is Mixed Exotique. This salad will simply turn you on. So if your date is boring at least the food won’t be! I eat here at lest three times a month and always leave thinking of my next visit.

I walked into this place during lunch time the other day. It is located at the beginning of the 3rd street promenade, on the west end and just across from the mall. It is a small, French inspired café with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Since I was solo that day, I chose to sit in a small booth. From there, my server brought me my iced tea and helped me chose a custom omelette from their plethora of options. I opted for the 3 egg omelette(check my photos for this place). The omelette was sizable and very delicious. The hash browns were crispy and tasty. The food was overall great, and so was their iced tea. This place is great for having brunch with some friend. I highly recommend!
