The place was awful! The price was what got me in the door. They were unprofessional and talked about most of their clienteles in Vietnamese. They didn’t realize I was Vietnamese! I asked for a French manicure on my toes and I kept having to ask her to change it. It got to the point that I asked for the brush and clean acetone and cleaned up the French, myself! Meanwhile, they were making fun of me. You’re not difficult if you are paying for a service and they’re not performing it correctly. DONTGOTHERE! Even the manager was encouraging negative remarks about me.

I’ve been coming to this nail shop for over 10 years and it tops any other nail shop I’ve been to. I have gotten too many pedicures, full sets, and eyebrow waxes to count. Manicurists are gentle, take their time, and do an excellent job consistently. The place is clean, the chairs are comfortable, and, in contrast to other reviews, in a decade I’ve never noticed an unpleasant smell. I also feel like the prices are really low compared to nearby nail shops on Main Street. Every time I try another shop, thinking I just might like it, I regret it and go back to Christina’s.

This shop is super close to my apartment, and I really wish it were better because I’d go more often and look fabulous! I’ve been twice, the first time I got my eyebrows waxed. The gal tried chatting with me the whole time, giving me compliments(I think?) It was very hard to understand what she was trying to say in English. She flashed a mirror in my face after the waxing, and then took it away. I didn’t really get a good look at the wax job until I got home, at which point I had to go back and tweeze the hairs she missed. My second visit was for a 30 minute foot massage. When the massage started, a woman insisted I get a back massage too. It seemed like a good idea, but then she proceeded to completely STRETCH out the neck on my new Banana Republic T-shirt to get a better angle on my shoulders. After about 15 minutes, I asked if she could stop and just bill for the time she had done, but she pretended not to understand me. i just had her switch to a different part of my body, and work on the hands. Having the two massages done at the same time might save time, but it made the foot massage experience unmemorable. They charged me $ 55 for both 30 minute foot and back massage. They also have 10 minute options, which I wish I knew about ahead of time. Long story short, I will not be going back to this salon. I’d rather take a chance going farther down Main Street!

Hate this place so much that i’m drafting this review as they finish my pedicure. Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. It’s dirty, the technicians are careless, and the pedicure is lousy. With two other nail salons(at least) on main street, go anywhere but here.

Breathe through your mouth. Breathe through your mouth! Utter«manicure/pedicure» as quickly as possible and get into one of those chairs, and your entire opinion of this place will immediately change. First off, the chairs rival the massage chairs at Brookstone. Legitimate cycles that actually massage your back, as opposed to the oscillating vibrating phone sensation you get at some other salons. Second, I was the only one in there at 12:00 on a Saturday(the smell upon entry might have something to do with it), and I had one woman doing my hands while the other worked on my pedi. Manicure: She really listened to what I had to say and was meticulous in her delivery. She also walked from side to side, so I didn’t awkwardly have to hold my hand over my body as I was reading my magazine — I’ve almost never seen that. They really took care of my dry cuticles here, cleaned them up, and didn’t butcher my hands. Pedicure: Looks BEAUTIFUL! She was a freaking auto-body worker with the polish, it looks like video girls could be dancing on my toes while Nelly raps in front of them. The tub was really hot water, but not burning and it didn’t get lukewarm halfway through — another big plus. Massage: They sucked me in. They always do. 10 minute foot and hand/shoulder massage. Love it, always love it. 10 bucks for 10 minutes, 15 bucks for 20, 40 for an hour. Pretty good rates. Quality/Cost: So far, it’s been one day, and all is well. I have to let you know that I only shiny buff my nails, because unless you are a lady who lunches, it’s pointless it get a manicure. Who expects those to last for more than a week unless you don’t shower? Still, for all I got — it was 50 bucks BEFORE tip. I did get a massage, but that’s too pricy for me for what I got — so minus one star. Bottom line: get past the initial stanktastic whiff — and you’ll get yourself a pretty nice little manicure and an awesome pedicure. Bonus? No one else is in there, so you won’t have to wait. Good to know: right now they are doing a spa mani/pedi special — $ 20. They do a really good job, and this is worth coming in for.

Holy crap. I will say that I am not all that familiar with ass. Most notably the smell of ass, but I do know foul when I smell it and this place is the epitome of ass. Wow, I walked in and was almost blown away at the smell in here. I have no idea what died or what may not have been cleaned in here for years, but oy, not good. How anyone could have a pleasurable or relaxing mani/pedi here is beyond me. I came in here to get my eyebrows waxed on Friday and the only reason I went through with it, even after seeing the nasty ass wax station and dirty walls and floors was because I was in a super hurry and had already parked and only had the one quarter I had put in the meter. Otherwise, I would have bailed. Luckily my face didn’t suffer and the job they did was good enough, but would I ever go back. Oh God no.

The women who work here are lovely and so friendly. But the manicure I got here 2 days ago was chipping within 24 hours of leaving. I still have yet to find a great nail salon in LA and I was really hoping this was it. But sadly, it’s been the worst manicure I’ve had yet. I think the nail polish was too old?
