E. Joseph Nadji, MD

Dr. Nadji is a good eye doctor, but note that if you previously went to Dr. Reynard (the former eye doctor at this location) and used your VSP insurance for the exam, the price has gone up significantly. Instead of a combined eyeglass /​eye exam rate, they will now charge VSP for the eyeglass exam and bill you separately $ 140 for the contact lens exam

Very efficient and professional team.
1– Kind receptionist who took the time to give me a summary of my insurance benefits; and the options I had in regards to the fees and associated services
2– Friendly efficient assistant, who took care of the general checkups to verify my sight and eyes condition, prior to meeting the optometrist himself
3– Very assertive and focused optometrist. He knew exactly what he was doing and searching for. Then took 5 minutes to clearly share his conclusions with me.
All in all, a very pleasant experience so far!
ps: I just reserve the right to amend this review in (the the hopefully unlikely) case it turned out that my insurance billed me for fees that were not explained to me. In such case, I would first thoroughly check where the misunderstanding truly lies with involved parties (insurance/​optometrist) before amending this review accurately.

Found Dr. Nadji through ZocDoc. Very nice, personable guy and very professional as well. Was able to get an appointment the same day and didn’t have to wait in the waiting room at all! Overall an excellent experience.

Dr. Nadji is probably the best ophthalmologist I’ve met. I visited him for lasting irritation and inflammation on one eye, and he was kind enough to take me in early in the morning to accommodate to my work schedule. More importantly, he’s very thorough, thoughtful, and takes time to make sure I understand what can be causing the symptoms, and how best it can be treated. It turned out to be a corneal ulcer and he provided me with a very effective treatment, which got me all better in a couple days. He even took a culture of the ulcer and sent to a microbiology lab to make sure he can follow up if anything looked alarming. Then, he called another doctor in SF I had scheduled a follow-​up with (since I live there), to fill her in with his diagnosis and treatment. I never write Unilocal review, but I was so deeply impressed and thankful that I had to spread the words. :)
