— First session was free.
— She listened well and provided some feedback but I felt like I was talking to a friend more than a therapist. I was hoping for more constructive advice that could help the situation.
— I thought it was unusual and unprofessional that she didn’t take down any proper paperwork before taking on a new person.
— As for payment, she did a bait and switch on me. Over the phone, she said she did a sliding scale, but once it was time to pay she pointed out how the appointment time was in high demand so she had to charge more.
— She only takes cash or check so it makes it difficult to record your deductibles with insurance.
— I stopped seeing her after two sessions b/​c the cons outweighed the pros. My friends did a better job providing me with perspective than she did.

Cathy is such an intuitive thoughtful listener. She really makes me feel heard, and like my concerns are valid and genuine. I am so grateful to have finally found someone who is supportive and who tries to help me grow at a pace I’m comfortable with. She knows just how much to push me and is so supportive in my goals to create a happier life. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
