I LOVE this park. It used to be a quiet, safe place where my dogs(who constantly come home from the dog park beat up from other dogs) could play. The park goers are a great group. Until a neighbor started complaining and calling the cops anytime someone with dogs would come by. Sad, it used to be a great spot.

There is one magnificent tree that is a real stand out. Nice place for a posed photo.

Never been to this«park». Driven past it countless times. It looks like good little place to work out or do yoga or just relax. Seen people run around it few times, some getting a long tan, and some bring a little blanket and food. It’s one of the«smallest» parks in Santa Monica.

Goose Egg Park is a small park in a quiet residential neighborhood. Because of its circular shape I’ve always wondered if it’s named«Goose Egg» because it’s shaped like a goose’s egg, or because it’s shaped like a zero. I may never know, but this park is a great place to come to relax.

Given that«Goose Egg» normally means zero, it’s easy to find yourself making connections. How many public restrooms does this park have? Goose Egg How many baseball fields does this park have? Goose Egg How many basketball courts does this park have? Goose Egg How many park benches? Goose Egg How many swings? Goose Egg How many see-saws? Goose Egg How many sets of monkey bars? Goose Egg What does this park have to offer? Some nice green space. Some good climbing trees. Some outdoor space to publicly sunburn. Tai chi? Girl talk space? Yeah I don’t really know what it is, but I like it. Warning, though. If you’re at the park and someone you don’t want to run into is at the park, you’re kinda screwed.

It’s supposed to be about 2⁄3 acre but it looks smaller. It looks the size of a big back yard. It’s a round park, the first one I’ve seen! haha see the photos. It’s in the middle of a residential street turn-around and there is nothing but a handful of trees in the park, not even a bench. But people like parks and there were people enjoying this odd little space today: There was a man teaching his kid how to climb the one big tree. There was a young guy asleep on a beach towel on the grass. There was a woman running around with a dog. She had her car radio cranked up so we could all hear Kenny G… ack… This scene was pretty damn cool, with a bizarre sort of twist… But I saw no goose and no egg! Now where in the world did this park get such a name? The surrounding neighborhood is expensive with a capital E. It’s the area of SaMo just south of San Vicente, a block or so from the ocean bluff. The homes here are vintage mansions on wide streets. It’s one of my fave areas in LA, near the SaMo stairs. Maybe that goose laid a golden egg…
