I met up with some friends on Montana for a bite to eat and had some time to spare after lunch. I walked by the store and just had to go in. Right away I was greeted by this cute girl with wild hair who immediately made me feel at home. I never knew about this store and now I’m in love. They have the best selection of shirts and the quality is just amazing. There’s something to wear for each occasion which always helps when you’re out shopping. Did I mention that the SALES are a dream ?! Keep it up MS ! I will be back.

This is my favorite place to buy gifts for gal-pals. When I shop for myself I pour over sales racks and thrift stores, playing dress up like it’s my favorite game. I experiment with my own look and if the product isn’t high quality, it’s okay because it gave me a bit of happiness to wear it even if it fell apart the second time I did. This sort of thing doesn’t work for gifts, though. And this is when I turn to Michael Stars. MIchael Stars is classy. In my experience people like the bag and the tissue paper and the little box they put it in and this little light goes off inside that’s like«wow Michael Stars. i know that name. that costs money.» but it’s not that bad price-wise and you don’t have to struggle around the size issue because it’s One Size Fits Most so you just find a suitable color and design, check to make sure the price doesn’t drop your jaw too far and hand it over to be wrapped. Their shirts look good on me and last years. I can depend on their product and the store’s comfortable and unintimidating.

Cooler, smaller, hipper version of big brother at the Grove. Actually, I believe this branch was even here before the one at the Grove… not that that really matters. lol I do happen to think that many little gems popped up on Montana before heading to such circus-like areas as the Grove, Hollywood and Highland, and Universal City walk… but I digress. Michael Stars is God’s T-shirt gift to women I tell ya! Every cut and color combo possible is available at your fingertips: long sleeve, short sleeve, baseball sleeve, prego ensembles, cashmere, undies, yoga pants… you name it. Sizes are usually a one-size fits all type of dealio but I find that a few styles are definitely NOT meant for my size! Try stuff on people before you buy! That should apply to EVERYwhere you go… not just here. Parking’s is fairly easy and shopping’s kind of fun if you do the Montana Ave. walk-a-roo. Good for a sunny day stroll! WARNING: I found out this holiday that the online store and the flagships are NOT one and the same. If you order online and need to exchange or return… the stores will ignore you. Which really SUCKS let me tell ya. You have to return with the original slip, preferably int he original shipping box and then it takes up to 3 weeks to credit you back. I don’t suggest doing this unless you happen to know EXACTLY what you want and can pick it out of the online line-up! Otherwise… head into the store!
