Great spot on Ocean Drive to get a good, fresh and cheap smoothie — it’s pay what you can(interesting business model). Though they ran out of some of the needed ingredients that afternoon, I enjoyed my concoction and would love to come back for more.

Stumbled upon this little food cart where they serve smoothies and juice at what ever price you want. And the smoothies were awesome!

Love love love that i can name my own price! I walked out the VA hospital and was thrilled to see the truck there. I got a drunk for me and one for my mom and we both enjoyed them. I usually feel ripped off for paying five dollars for a veggie juice but in this case I didn’t mind giving him five each for the drinks. I hope others try it out even if ou can only afford 50 cent

Loved The Garden smoothie! I would prefer fixed prices over ‘pay your fair share’ though :)

Interesting system of allowing you to pay what you think it’s worth. The fact that there were no prices listed on Unilocal made me more hesitant to say a price but overall am satisfied with what I’ve said. I got the aloha smoothie, not overly sweet and tasted pretty good! I think it was well worth the price and given that, I feel like some people may abuse the price system, so I raised it up just a bit from the norm.

I am currently drinking«The Sweet Beet» and it is delicious. My cousins ordered The Strawberry and they are equally satisfied. Thank you Pyngle’s for this wonderful experience and I hope to see you again soon at the LA Mart(The Reef)

Finally decided to try this place after walking by it everyday. Also, I have been really obsessed over kale smoothies and was dying to find one near school. This juice/smoothie truck has a cool concept since they do «Name Your Own Price.» So you can pay how much you think their drink is worth. I actually think this idea makes it more difficult for purchasers because you really don’t know how much to pay especially because you are expected to pay before you receive your drink. I think it would be cool if you get your drink and have a taste and then decide how much it is worth. Just my two cents. I got the Garden smoothie and thought it was just OK. It was more juice than smoothie because I didn’t really taste the ice blended into the drink. Also a lot of the stuff inside wasn’t exactly blended. I can literally taste the kale and it tasted like I was eating grass. Also it turned my tongue and teeth green. So don’t drink this if you are on a date. Overall, it was okay. I probably wouldn’t get it again. It did make me feel healthy!

I live at USC, so I walk by Pyngles twice a day(because they are parked at one of the USC entrances all day). Recently, I have gotten into kale smoothies, so I thought I’d give their garden smoothie a try. The smoothie itself tasted great. The ingredients were healthy and you even get some of the fiber from the vegetable in the smoothie. Pyngles also makes the drinks when you order it, so nothing is pre-made. My gripe with the garden smoothie is that it really wasn’t a smoothie. It was not icy, and really was a juice. Pyngles allows you to name your price, which is a fantastic concept so long as people don’t abuse it.

They let you choose your own price and its worth the money as they freshly juice everything as you order. I will buy their juice next time I see them no question

Get this: they let you pay your fair share because they think that everyone should have access to something healthy – regardless of how much they can afford to spend. What this meant was that I got to name the price for the juice I chose: The Garden. This was composed of kale, spinach, orange, apple, cucumber, lemon, and agave. It was refreshing and delicious. I think this«name your price» concept is pretty awesome. I mean, it works for Priceline. I just hope they actually make money and cheap people don’t take advantage of it and run them out of business. Next time I’m in Santa Monica, I am making a stop at this place.

I tried The Garden smoothie and it was delicious!!! I wasn’t sure how it would taste as I’ve never had juices or smoothies like this before. I would definitely have this again and try the other options. Great concept and very healthy. It’s vegan and all about health and sustainability.

Instead of opting for a «green juice» I got the Sweet Beet which was wonderful and refreshing on this warm afternoon spent on Ocean Avenue and 3rd Street with family. It had a great blend of beets, bananas, agave, apples, carrots and kale. None of the ingredients overwhelmed the overall taste and it was certainly not too sweet. It takes awhile to get your juice as they are made to order. No premade smoothies here! Fresh, healthy and you pay as you wish. This is a truck worth visiting.

I was on vacation in Santa Monica this past week and while walking along Ocean Avenue, saw Pyngle’s food truck parked along the street. I love fresh-made juices and was immediately drawn in to try one out. I chose ‘The Garden’ juice and my boyfriend got ‘The Sweet Beet.’ Let me tell you, this was the coolest, most flavorful homemade juice I have had! The Garden juice was mostly vegetable-based, and I’ve had green veggie juices that weren’t very sweet(which can still be good!), but Pyngle added a power ingredient: agave. The agave made my juice have a hint of sweetness without overwhelming it, and I’ll definitely be trying to recreate this juice at home! The boyfriend loved his beet juice as well. His had a small banana added to it, which made it more smoothie-like and was delicious on a hot day! The best part about Pyngle is that they let their customers choose what they think is a fair price to pay for a juice. They want to share and educate the community about a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of healthy and sustainable eating alternatives. I loved this philosophy and paid $ 10 for each juice to show my appreciation for what they’re doing! I had a great experience with Pyngle and even though I am not a local resident(and very bummed to not be able to visit them more!), would highly recommend everyone to pay them a visit if you’re in the area!

Best flavor, best concept. This kind of places makes me feel better about humanity, they have healthy and delicious juices and smoothies and the best part… You can pay as you feel like, their thing is to make their product as accessible as they can. The perfect win/win situation.

I recently had the privilege of experiencing a wonderful opportunity at Pyngle’s. They were set up along side of the road by the Santa Monica Pier. There was a Mcdonalds across the street and a taco truck also. I started a new health kick diet to lose a couple pounds and I decided to go with getting a smoothie. All the choices they had sounded amazing, freshly made smoothies/juices made right in front of you suing the freshest of produce. When it came time to pay, I asked how much and he stated, «We actually let the customers choose their price. We are here to promote healthy eating habits and by lettings customers choose their price, it is easier accessible to eat healthier and make the better choice.» I thought that their philosophy is amazing and feel it is necessary for me to help promote their business and philosophy. I highly suggest you guys visit them and support local business. It’s not just supporting a local business but helping for a greater cause of being aware of what you eat/drink. Healthy habits, healthy living, healthy choices. «What food do you see around your neighborhood on a daily basis? Is it healthy, fresh, and sustainable? Food, and how we interact with it, is a habit that is learned over time and passed down from generation to generation. When we live in a world where the quick and easy fix of the Dollar Menu is on every corner, and one-third of U.S. adults(35.7%)* are obese, it becomes more and more clear that we need to be the ones who affect real change within our communities. Pyngle’s mission is clear — to bring healthy and sustainable eating alternatives to the community .»
