Well, unfortunately I never got to meet the wonderful Dr. Doshi. Why you ask? Well, my daughter’s neurologist referred us to him so my daughter and I went to his office on a Friday afternoon to make an appointment. This office holds about 8 doctors, so when you go in they send you to the person that works with that specific Doctor. On any given day, it’s a madhouse. That day however, it was pretty empty. We spoke to ‘C’ the lady that schedules his appointments and she gave us the appointment for the following Tuesday. I spoke to her to confirm the appointment and gave her all of our information(including how to get the medical records from the primary care) and just as we’re about to walk in for our appointment, she calls me and tells me that Dr. Doshi doesn’t see children. Are you kidding me!!! I left work early, drove 1hr ½ to get there and she tells me(as we’re walking in) that he can’t see us?! Needless to say, I was livid. What kind of establishment are they running here?! All in all, they wasted 2 ½ hours of my time, gas and energy and my daughter didn’t even get to see the doctor. Unreal!

Dr. Doshi is an electrophysiologist, not a «regular» cardiologist. That means he does things like pace makers, not by-passes. He is a specialist; you probably would not start out with him, but rather get referred. Dr. Doshi obviously has the basic credentials — Harvard Medical School, Mass General, etc., as well as substantial experience. I have done quite a bit of looking and asking around, and he is clearly one of the rising stars in his field. Equally importantly, this is a guy who really loves his job. He really wants to fix whatever problem confronts him. He is also good at answering questions, explains things well and gives straight forward advice. He does NOT push people to have unnecessary procedures just to run up a bill. In fact, he almost talked me out of a procedure. Bottom line: I highly recommend this guy.
