I had my birthday party here on a Saturday night was so pleasantly surprised by both the venue itself and the people working there. I live in the neighborhood near this bar and have always wanted to go there… Let’s face it, a bar that looks like a ship from the outside is going to catch your eye. When my original birthday plans fell through I figured what better time to try it. The staff was so accommodating — especially Niko who I believe is the manager. I needed a table on Saturday and I sent my request the Friday night before. Lucky for me, some folks had just canceled and the Hideout fit my party into two tables near the dance floor. They didn’t charge us, we didn’t have to order a minimum amount of drinks and we had absolutely no trouble getting in. Drinks were great — bartenders were quick. The outside patio was the best place to be for sure — we basically moved our whole party there about an hour in. The DJ plays some great early 90s rap/R&B which is my favorite. They also have a big dance floor which is nice. The crowd was a little weird — or maybe just not what I expected — a lot more young people(young 20’s) than I thought would be there. But everyone was down for a good time which was all that mattered. If you’re having a party I highly recommend the hideout for their great, accommodating service and fun atmosphere. Enjoy! (One thing to note — this bar is not a good place for families in the evening! Probably only appropriate for brunch if you have kids with you.)

Lovely place for Brunch on a Sunday. The food was good, service great and view of Zuma Beach a wonderful way to start the day in sunny California. It also looks like a great place for families.
